This was definitely the loudest car on LeMans Classic 23. U cant imagine how loud it is live. I was turning my head and closing eyes everytime it passed by.
6:23 … this ‘outro’ is absolutely amazing; the entire spectrum of godly noises up to and including one last up shift at the very end! Many thanks for this vid.
This is amazing, what sort of racing series is this? You're going wheel to wheel like it's for a proper championship, I love it. That last overtake was poetic.
group C historic racing. from about 1981 to 1988 or so group C had few rules apart from how much fuel you were allowed and the result was some completely awsome monstrous and sexily elegant race cars. the mercedes C11 and porsche 956/ 962 were truely breathtaking. In the early 90s it got watered down a bit when rules were imposed on engine size etc ( this lola / judd is probably a 3.5l v10) but even then god they were fast. Modern LMP cars could not hold a candle to them. Onboards like this, seeing these things driven in anger from the drivers seat are a welcome treat, my volume is always maxxed out for it!
I doubt that I will ever have the means in my life to simply be in the same room with a car of this caliber, let alone drive it. You are a very blessed man. Thank you for sharing these experiences with all of us.
I have no word to say, you again made my day, man youre the best YT channel for me. Never disappoints. I always wanted a on-board from Classic Group C racers like this Lola. Cant wait for Mercedes C11, Mazda 787B, Lancia LC2, Peugeot 905, Nissan R90CK, Toyota TS010, Jaguar XJR9, Porsche 962 And Aston Martin AMR1.I know there are many, but if they are combined with the magic of Robert's hand, we will see a unique masterpiece. This channel has a good future. I will share with all my motorsport friends and we will all enjoy your good content. We are also waiting for Formula One onboards😉
Glorious sound on this one. I saw the Sauber Mercedes C9 a couple times. Hoping you got onboard that one. It's my favourite Group C car. Incredible video as always.
Saw this car at Watkins Glen 20+ years ago & fell in love. While it was not the best GroupC car in period, it would be my first pick to have for historic racing.
Id love this sound in the WEC. For me the Judd V10 is one of the most iconic sounding engines in motorsport history @3:00 gotta respect someone who risks their very very rare racecar like this. Respect.
Saw the races that weekend live. Great to see this onboard. And the sound from the outside in real life is even better than onboard. Proper loud too, like it should with Le Mans cars 🙂
I saw (heard) this car live at Le Mans Classic, it was by far the loudest car of them all, you had to cover your ears (even from a "safe" distance), it was pure madness Still have wet dreams about that sound 😂
The most beautiful race cars ever made and we never really got to see them race in anger. Atmo 3.5L GrC is the greatest might-have-been in all of Racing.
Lola was once one of the greatest under the radar names in endurance motorsport. They were the springboard for many famous cars of the 60s onwards, including the legendary Ford GT40. Without Lola’s initial bedrock foundation married to Fords external racing business consultants and expert’s the GT40 wouldn’t exist as we know it today and success would not have taken 2-3 years, it would’ve taken much longer.
The fastest straightline speed eras of racing are sadly long over. The Group C and Can Am cars are still absolute monsters even by todays standards. They may not have the lateral grip of todays cars but in raw straightline speed, they are leagues ahead of everyone.
Driving aero cars in the damp on slicks, note as they come into the corners much slower due to the damp all the down force drops off making it much more tricky.
3:00 Great save! That look 👀
Reflexes of a cat!
Indeed
This was definitely the loudest car on LeMans Classic 23.
U cant imagine how loud it is live. I was turning my head and closing eyes everytime it passed by.
im a simple man, i see Robert Albias dropped a new video, i drop everything
Heard
also HOLY SHIT that save at 3:01 was a code brown moment. only you could get such awesome footage dude
Good content is good.
but also UGH how could you end the footage of that C11 battle when it just started??? the pain😔
You said it brother
6:23 … this ‘outro’ is absolutely amazing; the entire spectrum of godly noises up to and including one last up shift at the very end!
Many thanks for this vid.
i saw Lola, i clicked. could immediately tell who’s video it was from the first couple frames.
this one’s gonna be a banger.
oh it is a banger alright
Hmm seems like I need to get into the warehousing business. That driver has quite the collection and the skill to back it up!
I saw that Lola race at Donnington Park with my dad once, and I have to say it is in my opinion the best sounding car in the world! 😍❤
Love seeing the difference in technique from dry to wet conditions, brilliant onboard!

Group C Legends is the series

@@TheMadmagik lol, LMP1 cars were doing better lap times with chicanes on mulsanne than group C did without them.
@@zavodszkiabel7919 Lot of people say Group C were monsters, but LMP1 were just the same.
@@hillclimbracingfan5821 lot of people are dumb AF

That 10 minutes was better than this past weekend F1 and WEC!!! The battles with the Silk Cut and Merc were amazing!
that induction noise is INSANE! makes your hair stand on end and gives you goosebumps... I could listen all day
Glorious sound on this one. I saw the Sauber Mercedes C9 a couple times. Hoping you got onboard that one. It's my favourite Group C car. Incredible video as always.
Love the pronounced finishing notes as the car roars into the abstract... Thrilling !
Hearing that beast this summer at Le Mans. Lola T92 and Peugeot 905 what à symphony 🔥
Saw this car at Watkins Glen 20+ years ago & fell in love. While it was not the best GroupC car in period, it would be my first pick to have for historic racing.
Silky smooth. Love the sound of an even-fire V10.
💙💙💙
Those pilots are Artists, mainly with Rain........
And these Lola V10, no word is intense enough to discribe it!!!!
Bravo to you 2.
💙💙💙
Couple of absolutely stomach clenching moments on Eau Rouge there, love it!
David Hart was NOT afraid to push that beast! Nice overtakes and that one save at Raidillon
All the reasons why I watch Robbert’s channel and historic racing in one video👌
Id love this sound in the WEC. For me the Judd V10 is one of the most iconic sounding engines in motorsport history
@3:00 gotta respect someone who risks their very very rare racecar like this. Respect.
Man you can feel this one. Wild car. These are the best miked and mixed videos ever.
One of the loudest car I have heard in my life and I have heard A LOT
Saw the races that weekend live. Great to see this onboard. And the sound from the outside in real life is even better than onboard. Proper loud too, like it should with Le Mans cars 🙂
You make the best DRIVERS car video's I've ever seen. Thank you!
this guy is living the dream, God bless you sir. much obliged for sharing.
Such finesse on a raw brutal platform
I really like the canopy. Looks very stealthy and clean.
Man your videos are amazing. It was cool to see the Sauber take this beast on the straight though!
Secretly hoping for some flybys, you did not disappoint 👍🙌
We need the full race on-boards back , miss them

Still have wet dreams about that sound 😂
I am not sure I deserve this content.
Thank you so much!
The most beautiful onboards on UA-cam 👌
listening to these engine sounds while also playing music is art
Stunning work as always!!
i love how the speedo stop at 200 kph but still have 3 more gear to go insane
Gorgeous car. I’m a Group C fanatic, but I had never seen this car before.
Beautiful as always, thanks Robbert 🙏
Clicked, watched, subbed, eyes and ears are happy now. Thanks
Amazing stuff!!!
Sounds like and old F1 car, absolutely amazing 🔥
You’re quite right because Lola used Judd’s 3.5 liter v10 F1 engine!
Subbed on the first video I watched, thank you sir!
A high revving manual race car at Spa. That's heaven right there.
I really enjoyed this video, thanks for posting!

I felt like I was in an Assetto Corsa simulator watching this onboard of this track classic 🍷🗿
Que hermoso grito!... Música clásica de primer nivel...

These videos are a religious experience with Robbert behind the wheel. He could make a tricycle race engaging. Bravo.
what a sound!

He was really going for it!
The really should make a film out of this, it looks amazing!
What a blast! That C9 is Brutal! Any chance of a video of the C9? Thanks!
Fast machine. I love Group C and the IMSA GTP class era.
He does it again!
The Mercedes C11 is rapid!
Gentlemen, a short view back to the past.
I may be a rotary fanboy, but I think I have a new favourite Group C car
Spettacolo. Adrenalina pura
How gorgeous! (Although is it just me or is the image a tiny bit over-saturated? )
It’s delicious. With that beautiful dramatic sky, especially, each moment is fine art, as if Taschen printed a book on racing at Spa, come to life.
A banger, a total banger!!!
Feels like a dream
This is the song of my people!
Putting the MOVES on EVERYONE!
The sound is great!
I wish these videos showed engine telemetry more often.
Beautiful
This is why I love V10 engines and I5 engines bruh
I like this song.
Absolutely love this! One thing, can we please get unedited raw footage???
Check out the description

Great sound.
Music to my ears.
i listened w my eyes closed, bose on the head prob 10x in a row. Fell asleep to it couple nights in a row.
That F1 style steering wheel while operating a shifter looks like it could get awkward at times!
Bless this guy
3:01 that lock! OMG!
Saw it at Le Mans classic last year, it was the best car to hear out of all (787b was not really racing that year)
I LOVE THESE VIDEOOOOSS
Brutalisimo ¡ ❤
3:01 what a heart stopper
Spectacular!
That’s thing was quick!
Old school race cars were real widow makers
Great battle.❤
modern Assetto Corsa graphic mods are really awesome
Cool drive
Please tell me the Jaguar XJR9 is coming up 🙏🙏🙏
Wow, just wow🏎️
Majestic.
Was there a switch to west half way through the video...seemed like there was rain and then plenty of driver saves!
