Thanks Travis. Very Helpful and very well presented!

Wrap your sticks and stand with hockey tape to quiet them
No metal against metal. Like rock climbing harness. Like a tree saddle

Keep your stand strap on your stand not your pocket. If you drop it you have to climb down. And cam your stand

Need to cam lock your stand that thing was flopping around big time. Also be careful running a strap overs vine or limb. That could cause a failure

You may have learned this by now but after you attach the first strap on the stand, pick up the platform(towards the seat) which will allow the stand to settle and tighten the strap. Then push the platform back down and it will lock very tight to the tree. Then put the second strap on. There are several videos that show the technique.. I am 6' 8" 300lbs so I like my lone wolf as tight and secure as I can get it..lol... good luck!!

try a linesman belt with a ropeman one , I use a RC harness also similar to yours and it is so easy to use

    Nice quick setup.
Instead of hauling your stick, try adding a paracord loop on either side of your harness. About a 12 inch length of cord should give you a loop that you can just drop the bracket on your stick into. It will hang freely away from you, not fall out, and not bump stuff and make noise, at least not like a spinning stick on a string can. Experiment with loop size for your particular sticks. Then all you need is one haul rope for your bow. Works well for me.
Also, the one thing I didn't like about you harness setup is that you need to disconnect from the tree at times. I like a lineman's belt and separate tether for this reason. Not that I didn't climb 100's of trees with no harness at all in my younger, dumber days. But those treestand fall victim photos on social media are nasty.

Thanks for the advice. All good stuff. I am going to work on eliminating trips up and down.

I like a regular harness better I have a belt like that and it is always in the way kind of a pain in the butt but everyone is different.

Cornfed E85 if you are in somewhat decent shape you really shouldn’t need steps on both sides.. you go up, then you go down LoL
