I do own the 44 magnum. This was a backpacking trip. I brought the Special because it’s lighter. I load it as heavy as I feel I can get away with to get the most power out of the lightest package. These are the loads I use on backpack trips for hunting or bear protection. I train with these loads leading up to a trip, but not just for recreation. If I made a video about plinking a target with factory ammo, who would really care about it? I’ll stick to doing things outside of the box. You could live your life conservatively. But if you think bringing a heavier gun on a backpack trip is no big deal, you’ve likely never done it before.
I hunt with a 1858 black powder revolver, 44 cal cap and ball and its sighted in for 30 yards.
I’m sure you’re doing wonderful things trolling UA-cam in your mom’s basement
By the recoil I see, you should have bought the 44 magnum!! A load like that in even a flattop 44 spl. Is going to ruin that gun sooner than later!
