Well, he is a prodigy when it comes to mech designs. I wouldn’t be surprised if he built his own mobile suit in a cave with nothing but a box of scraps.
Well, if you take in account that real barbatos (gundam frame from calamity war) was build to defeat mobile armor which use beam weapon so they coat on armor beam counter material. In metaverse, if they really replicate that unique ability then Barbatos was so broken. Nearly all weapons of metaverse gundam were base on beam nrg. So they have to balance somehow... so i have no problem with barbatos using beam nrg cause Rex tail also can launch beam. Tho, i'm feeling uncomfortable when someone else driving barbatos that's not Mikazuki. Barbatos being hold down too much cause the fighting style difference. Not to mention, that lance is impractical in unhorse combat due to weight and limited use. That lance only affective if you are charging torward enemies. It will be useful for calvary type unit vs fully armor. Not suite for gundam build up to be mainly mobile like barbatos. I rather they kept that huge maceaxe or macesword.
@@NamelessPassengerBarbatos has Nanolaminate armor which is a paint coating only resistant to beams, not immune. A continuous shot to the same spot would chip off the NLA little by little until it's only the bare armor left and would get damaged by beams as usual.
They had a lot of potential but decided to waste it by making Metaverse only 3 episodes. They EASILY could have made it 12 episodes minimum or more considering there was plenty to work with the concept of it being a shared universe version of the build series.
I actually want a 1/100 version of this kit considering only 3 of Meijin Kawaguchi III/Tatsuya Yuuki Gunplas have 1/100 scale kits. Also this is the only Barbatos kit without a 1/100 scale version
This version of barbatos only uses the hashal support externally While Lupus Rex Literally fused the remains of hasmal even with the tailblade. I prefer lupus rex than amazing in my opinion

Why is my boy barb using beam weaponry isnt he supposed to use Physical weaponary i know its because of hashmal design but dude lasers are useless from the ibo series all they do is heat up the cockpit from how much hot the lasers are and in other but some can deflect lasers that arent powerfull all they do is push the ms back and long arms thats way to cursed for my eyes
Well in the context of the Metaverse Build show, its just a model kit of Barbatos. And in all Build series they LOVE beam spam. So it makes sense that this version adheres to beam weaponry.
Just my opinion tho if they put mika soul in it and his fighting style with just a different character appearance in it, it would be great. Giving those who miss mika able to see him again🗿 man i miss ibo and a scream from gusion ah it would be dam too good to be true🗿
They are custom made gundams but not fan made. The build series has been a thing for years expanding on the creativity of gundam production in a sports-like setting.
A few cool builds like this were the only saving grace of this crappy special. The budget put into the failed metaverse cash grab should have just gone into making this a full anniversary season for the Build timeline.

If you want a reason I would say it’s the fact that he’s an elitist without the superiority complex. Despite his experience and seniority he actively encourages others to not only grow in strength but also to enjoy the game. He’d sooner spend his time teaching a class of beginners and kids how to make a gunpla over defending his title and reputation.
imma be real i absolutely do not like this series they massacred my boy barbatos i feel like the gundam build metaverse series has no actual flare like all the other ones especially the story line

To be fair it was using solid projectile until the mobile armor attached, in IBO mobile armors are the only once left with beam weapons.
