Being able to see Riku, Sarah, Hiroto, Sei, Reiji, Sekai, and Yuuki all in the intro together almost brought tears to my eyes. It's such a dream come true seeing the BuildVerse Series finally closing the circle of combining all of the series together in one universe throughout the years watching all the different protagonists grow. All that's left missing is Ryusei Fyudo and Takuma Nagitsuji to make appearances.
My face hurts from smiling for 24 minutes straight, I am so happy to be back in this series/universe as it was the reason I got into Gundam and gunpla building in the first place. Sei, Reiji, Sekai, Fumina, Gyanko, the Meijin, Riku, Sarah, Ayame, Momo, Yukki, Hiroto, just- It makes me happy to see my heroes all in one place. ❤ And now there's new friends! My heart is soaring 😭😭😭

Devils advocate but also truth. As a maker in both Blacksmithing and 3D printing that quote is 2 statements that are VERY true. Making Mistakes and Starting Over are both things I've had to do A LOT in 8 years of blacksmithing and 4 years of 3D printing.
Seeing generations of Gunpla fighters from the first GBF to Build Divers being together in this one series just puts a smile on my face. I can’t wait for the official release of Metaverse for us to dive into.

With the opening and meijin kawaguchi,and the build divers walking around it only means that all build series starting from gbf is canonically is in one universe!
So far it's only certain that's canonical to Build Divers due to the fact that Riku and the others are identified as "the real Build Divers" and not, as the main character was led to believe, just people with avatars that idolized the "real players of the team". The Build Fighter characters are probably avatars (a clue is the fact that Sei and Reiji should be older than Sekai) or, considering this is a sequel to Divers, living AI born after the end of Rerise that adopted the same personality as the characters of the BF anime. So, in a way, they could be close to the real thing while leaving the two universes separated.
This episode certainly does feel like a welcome back to everyone who has been following the build series. Seeing multiple characters from previous shows coming back was quite the treat.
Seeing Fumina still in a teenage avatar and the Build Divers in the same avatar designs made me afraid that the show wasn't going to acknowledge the characters getting older, with the opening making me worried they would even ignore the canonical time skip between BF and Try, but I was pleased to see adult Kawaguchi, even if it still makes the timeline between Try and Divers kinda murky.

One can only hope, with their usual shtick of references, they use AO’s mace attack used in Cross Rays Just that demonic charge and utterly brutal repeat smashing would be glorious in the “full sized” Gundam as opposed to CR’s SD animations

Now IF they'd just give us a Follow up to METAVERSE, and the IBO Calamity Wars As a Full anime series or multi part OVA, for Iron Blooded Orphans Pre-quel, and a follow up featuring Mika's son. I think that would make everyone's day all at once. Like honestly everyone.

What a start to the pre-Halloween festivities with the Gundam Build Spinoff in celebration of its 10th anniversary & the song by Back-on called Hikari to Kaze was an awesome treat to all Gundam Build fans.
I'm very pleased with this first episode! One of my biggest critiques of the gunpla anime franchise is that with each new series it felt like they lost site of the passion for IRL gunpla and focused more on the video game part of it. So happy to see that they're getting back to the IRL gunpla passion.
I agree. Build Divers introduced the MMO aspect of it - previously it had just been the combat system. I think they needed to set that up to make telling a story easier. There's only so much you can do with building models and going to a tournament. Now that the online world is established, they can let the game drive the plot while still maintaining focus on the Gunpla on the IRL side.
i was not ready for the nostalgia trip of pure epicness and nor was i ready for the level of hype. im not ashamed to admit i cryed tear of happiness and nostalgia
If there’s one thing that the Build Universe can show us, much like Ms. Seria, is that it’s okay to mess up your gunpla. Always try to have fun and stay loose. Never stop building!

I really hope we get some Breakers representation. I saw a lot of cameos from Fighters, Try, Divers, and ReRise, but aside from Mask Lady using a recolor of the Perfect Strike Freedom, I didn't see any characters from GB3 or Breaker Mobile
I'm not sure if we'll get any characters, but it is at least confirmed by now that Gundam Breaker Battlogue is canon to the shared Build universe. The website's description of Mask Lady's Perfect Strike Freedom Noir says that it's a homage to a rival she once battled (Sena), and the 00 Command Qan[T] showed up alongside Meijin's Amazing Barbatos Lupus. I'd love to get some character representation, but this is only a three-episode series, so we may not be able to fit it in. At the very least, they're giving Breaker some love in whatever way they can.

Honestly kind of interested to see how this series will go since it looks like a celebration of the Build series as a whole. Plus I'm liking how Iron Blooded Orphans has been getting some love for its Gunpla, with Meijin, or rather Tatsuya Yuuki, having a heavily customized Barbatos as his new ace Gunpla.

What a start to the pre-Halloween festivities with the Gundam Build Spinoff in celebration of its 10th anniversary & the song by Back-on called Hikari to Kaze was an awesome treat to all Gundam Build fans.
I'm very pleased with this first episode! One of my biggest critiques of the gunpla anime franchise is that with each new series it felt like they lost site of the passion for IRL gunpla and focused more on the video game part of it. So happy to see that they're getting back to the IRL gunpla passion.
I agree. Build Divers introduced the MMO aspect of it - previously it had just been the combat system. I think they needed to set that up to make telling a story easier. There's only so much you can do with building models and going to a tournament. Now that the online world is established, they can let the game drive the plot while still maintaining focus on the Gunpla on the IRL side.
The nostalgia of seeing reiji, sei and sekai in one anime is very fresking EXCITING! WOHHHHHHHH

I really hope we get some Breakers representation. I saw a lot of cameos from Fighters, Try, Divers, and ReRise, but aside from Mask Lady using a recolor of the Perfect Strike Freedom, I didn't see any characters from GB3 or Breaker Mobile

I'm not sure if we'll get any characters, but it is at least confirmed by now that Gundam Breaker Battlogue is canon to the shared Build universe. The website's description of Mask Lady's Perfect Strike Freedom Noir says that it's a homage to a rival she once battled (Sena), and the 00 Command Qan[T] showed up alongside Meijin's Amazing Barbatos Lupus. I'd love to get some character representation, but this is only a three-episode series, so we may not be able to fit it in. At the very least, they're giving Breaker some love in whatever way they can.

Honestly kind of interested to see how this series will go since it looks like a celebration of the Build series as a whole. Bringing back everyone, including all the classic characters from the Build Fighters. Plus I'm liking how Iron Blooded Orphans has been getting some love for its Gunpla, with Meijin, or rather Tatsuya Yuuki, having a heavily customized Barbatos as his new ace Gunpla.
I want to see Meijin Kawaguchi duke it out with Kujo Kyoya. The Meister versus the Champion!!!
