Hi JP .DP from UK. In my humble opinion, this is the greatest vocal performance in 70s rock. When it came out my teenage friends and I used to play the track time and time again. We were just mesmerised. Robert, no-one comes Close To You.
This song is simply amazing. It's funny that when I was younger I didn't care much for it, but later I felt its power completely. Another song that fits into this same box for me is a lost american gem: 'Feel a Pain' by the band HYDRA. It's amazing that this song is so little known. The guitar work stands out in all the wonderful blues instrumental and melodic lyrics.
P.S.: Oh yeah, other things I forgot to mention: the vocals remind me of Glenn Hughes; they also remind me of Lynyrd Skynyrd's 'Free Bird'; and the album cover is hideous... hahaha
I'm like you, I didn't think much of this song back in the 70's and even later compared to their other material, but around 2002 it become my favorite Led Zeppelin song, and still is!
You reacted to this one on JPMP. You had a guest host on that one, too. I had the music for this piece growing up and I learned how to play it note for note. These were the first guitar solos that I could play correctly. This piece had a big influence on my guitar playing.
Ahahaha **Beautiful** WoW THIS is one of THE **BEST** reactions EVER to **MyBelovedOtherWorldlyLedZeppelin** & yea F YEA!!! it IS **SexaaayAF** Ha just **Fantastical** Thank YOU ever so for making my day **Brighter** i **Hope** you will do more **Led Zeppelin** in the near future! **PixieHugz** You **ROCK** **Luvit**
Soooo good. Four genius musicians/ songwriters at their absolute best. Haven’t heard this remaster before. There’s a jangly guitar part much higher in the mix than I remember from the original version which I’m not sure I like but overall, the clarity and separation is much better imho.
Reasons WHY you are the best reactor on YT, Justin 1. You do an incredibly good analysis of the music you listen to, and you have a great knowledge and in addition to that you investigate and inform yourself about bands or soloists before making a reaction (not in this case w LZ, you know them very well :). 2. Above all, you are not the typical commercial song reactor that only thinks about $$$, you let the people enter your patreon for free to watch your reactions, this is priceless. Now... the bad things from you 😂😜 1. Cinema Show is at same level of Firth Of Fifth, NOT the worst song of "Selling..." 2. WHY the 👹you didn't do again a reaction of the best Hispano-latin american superband ever ??? Seru Giran , REQUEST: self tittled 1978 album and self tittled song, trust in your friend.
Extra info from this song "Seru Giran", 1. The lyrics has not translation/meaning, are just part of the music like one more layer, some "words" of this "lyrics" were the name of some songs on this album and on future albums. 2. It (Seru Giran song) was composed in the beautiful Buzios, Brasil,
The good ol' Ludwig Speed King aka Squeak King. I can hear that squeak in dozens of recordings from the 60's and 70's, and you can't unhear it once you notice.
I get a little hesitant worried when there’s a blues tune up to bat. You’ve hinted it’s not your favorite genre. Even though I don’t remember you reacting back in JPMP, I was surprised how enthusiastic you were are. That makes me happy. Great playing, great song. All it needed was some harp playing from Robert… maybe.
Zeppelin at their greatest, all shine bright here ! 👍🎶
This is one of many Zeppelin songs that make me put Jimmy Page as my all time number one guitarist. You can NEVER go wrong with this band.
My favourite track off the album. I've been lucky enough to see Zep play it live on more than one occasion. This song is a classic.

A top 3 Zeppelin track in my book. Like Jp says, it positively oozes sexuality!
IMHO, this is Page's best solo.
III is my favorite LZ album. They should have swapped out Hats Off To Roy Harper with Hey, Hey What Can I Do.
I've often thought that, myself! "Hey, Hey What Can I Do" belongs on Zeppelin 'III' more than "When A Blind Man Cries" belongs on 'Machine Head'.

NOW we're cookin'! #13 on my Top 100 Songs list.
Nuff said.

Omg I totally forgot😅
They were MAGNIFICENT!!
Yeah, best blues track ever, to my ears. Believe it or not, live version even kicks butt on this amazing studio track.
There’s an awful lot of music that qualifies as ‘the blues.’ Not enough of it sounds as good as this.
Maybe my favorite Led Zep song with "Ten years gone". Looking forward your reaction on it !

Justin reacted to The Cinema Show and a live version of this song as well on the JPMP channel years ago!!
Hey Justin! Classic Zep song. Robert at his best!🎙👍😎
Moby Grape song actually I know what you mean.
Classic Zep.
OH & P.S. Ya should really see this **Live**
See this is what I love about Justin, I get Zepp right after Steely Dan. It's all about the contrast \m/ 🤣😆🙃
Lol!😁
How do i get to hear this on Patreon? I've pressed the link, and got a blurred picture of JP with no play button. 🤔
@@Owlstretchingtime78 I think it may be members only.
@@pentagrammaton6793 I got it eventually. Thanks for responding! 👍
That squeaky bass drum pedal....mmm

I have seen several reactions to the live version at MSG in the 70s. I don’t think they had any issues showing the performance.

UA-cam censorship is a drag.
See Alice?
A favourite of many a Zeppelin fan! For me, however, this is always the boring intermission on an otherwise very interesting album.
Good song but a bit too verbose vocal and guitar-wise for my taste. I prefer its twin brother "Tea for One" on Presence which I find more sober.
I think this song is a drag drag drag drag drag.
