Love this! Just got some fresh strawberries from Columbia Farms on Sauvie Island and I'm making strawberry jam for the first time following your video. 🍓
Can you can this recipe instead of freezing it. I love this recipe , everyone that I've shared it with have gone nuts over it. But I really would like to do a canned version . Living in Florida , you never know when your power will go out. 😢
I know this is an old comment, but just in case you still need an answer, I doubled this recipe today, but only used 3 cups of sugar, and it set up and tasted fine. I started with only half (2cups for double) the called for sugar, since I already knew the amount looked like too much for my taste. Ended up adding the additional cup of sugar after tasting the jam, when it was about 75% done. Turned out being the perfect sweetness for me at 75% of the called for sugar. I’m sure some people will be even fine with half the sugar. Ended up with exactly 3 pint sized jars btw.
I can't wait to try this with raspberries!
It's delicious with raspberries!!!

Did u use 4 cups of whole strawberries or cut up ones?
Cut up ones
Is it imperative to add that much sugar?
You an cut the sugar but it can effect the jam setting up so you may need to experiment
