1:46- It's actually a nod to Devcon, the Autobot bounty hunter that helped Smokescreen in one episode of G1 who also got a Botcon toy this year. Other than that, great review!
The Lazy Eyebrow Reviewer It's not your fault, besides what are the chances that EVERYONE is gonna get a reference to a character that basically gets no attention?
The Lazy Eyebrow Reviewer Funny thing, I actually discovered who Devcon was (I found a clip of him on AeonMagnus' channel) like a week before his Botcon toy was announced lol.
Change it? Nope, you're absosmurfinlutely *CORRECT*. Prowl, whose face is darker than the others...except for recent CHUG toys (Combiner Wars, Siege, maybe Classics/Universe) = Starscream Bluestreak, the speedy & aggressive McBastard = Skywarp Smokescreen, that guy who has to bring the heat but isn't quite as mouthy = Thundercracker
I love, love my MP Smokescreen. The reprolabels are awesome, too! I just hate the design choice of painted gray plastic. No matter how careful you are, the paint chips where the legs connect with the hood, and where the feet scrape against the sides for transformation. I won't ever get rid of mine, but I may buy another one to not transform.
If you are worried about stiff difficult connection points. You could if you so choose to use Dielectric grease. This is a silicone-based grease which very well may make the parts connect smoother and less abruptly. I have used this product on other toys where parts were either stiff or difficult to put together and take apart. I used this synthetic silicone grease which is safe to plastic on my vintage Voltron and it works great. Just remember to use a very thin coating or it will be messy and overly greasy.
In case you weren't aware, in G1 Devcon was a friend Smokescreen made in one episode of one season and was never heard from again. Anyway, that's what his door is referencing.
The Lazy Eyebrow Reviewer Here's a picture of the car with the number 38 on it: tfsource.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/xsmo30.jpg The car only ran #38 for 1982 though, all other times it's #83
The Nissans/Datsuns - I like to call them the Super Z Bros. - are definitely the Autobot version of the Seekers...except there's only three. Still, you get one, you Gotta Catch'em All. I certainly did here (KO Prowl, Hasbro Asia Bluestreak, KO Smokescreen)...and I only barely care about Smokescreen cuz I had the G1 toy as a kid! Hopefully Takara goes back and revisits this in a repaint as a Masterpiece Barricade, given that's what Hasbro did with the Siege one (Barricade was a repaint & "pretool" of Smokescreen). Of course, it'd have to specifically be the original MP19 they use for him, not the MP19+ retool with the fugly animation accurate faces.
Am I the only one who thinks Smokescreen and Bluestreak's names were mistakingly switched? Smokescreen has a blue streak in car mode and Bluestreak is a smokey grey color in the cartoon, their names fit each other so perfectly this can't be a coincidence!
That's what bluestreak and smokescreen are actually. They were $35 free shipping. But since that's half of the original price and bluestreak actually said "KO" I think it's safe to assume the ones at that price are knock offs
they have the same packaging! I could send you a link www.ebay.co.uk/itm/KO-Transformers-Masterpiece-MP-18-Cybertron-Gunner-Streak-Nissan-Fairlady-NEW-/161354920721?pt=US_Action_Figures&hash=item259180b311
Yep, those be knockoffs. Really good knock offs. Or just production copies that didn't pass QC. Takara is selling them at £45 and someone in china sells them at £20. Some are honest and say KO, some aren't and try to pass off as the real thing. Either way the Datsun KO's are amazingly good quality, the Lamborghini KO's are not quite as good to be honest
Haha it's all good. The smokescreen and bluestreak reviews were from those people to be honest an if one were to buy them they wouldn't be getting a bad deal either = P
1:46- It's actually a nod to Devcon, the Autobot bounty hunter that helped Smokescreen in one episode of G1 who also got a Botcon toy this year. Other than that, great review!
Well shows I should research these things before I go all review on them = P
The Lazy Eyebrow Reviewer It's not your fault, besides what are the chances that EVERYONE is gonna get a reference to a character that basically gets no attention?
yeah pretty much, I watched the episode to bring me up to speed this afternoon = P
The Lazy Eyebrow Reviewer Funny thing, I actually discovered who Devcon was (I found a clip of him on AeonMagnus' channel) like a week before his Botcon toy was announced lol.
The Lazy Eyebrow Reviewer is reviewing A KO.
LETS GET HIM
The Nissan Fairlady is the autobot seeker mold.
Change my mind.
Change it? Nope, you're absosmurfinlutely *CORRECT*.
Prowl, whose face is darker than the others...except for recent CHUG toys (Combiner Wars, Siege, maybe Classics/Universe) = Starscream
Bluestreak, the speedy & aggressive McBastard = Skywarp
Smokescreen, that guy who has to bring the heat but isn't quite as mouthy = Thundercracker
"Quick I distracted his conversation, now run!"
"Oh thank goodness, I owe you Smokescreen!"
LMAO!
I love, love my MP Smokescreen. The reprolabels are awesome, too! I just hate the design choice of painted gray plastic. I got Smokescreen. He's a cool bot but IDK. I still love Prowl the most

Bluestreak: Black.
Smokescreen: Blue (and red).
Prowl: Not leopard print.
In case you weren't aware, in G1 Devcon was a friend Smokescreen made in one episode of one season and was never heard from again. Anyway, that's what his door is referencing.
Huh. Well I did say correct me if I'm wrong and corrected me you have! I should really start researching these things before I do the review = P
i love these reviews cause there stop motion wich is really cool
OMG, why aren't car gerwalks a thing? I demand an animated series and merchandise!
I'm getting this guy, Walmart exclusive Starscream, G2 Sideswipe, Wheeljack, and they are all masterpieces and all for my birthday
"This is getting too silly!" Very Monty Python. I dub thee 'Minister of Silly Reviews.'
Haha, glad somebody got that reference = P
6:07 Spaceballs reference
Finally, someone who plays with their figures when reviewing.
+Alissa MewMew well, I mean, what would be the point of owning these things otherwise? = P
+The Lazy Eyebrow Reviewer True, it's just other reviews don't play with them, which takes away from fun factor.
Amazing Spaceballs reference😂
The Lazy Eyebrow could you pls review masterpiece ironhide sometime in the future?
If this alt mode is plain, oh you'l hate the new + version
Every last one of them
Nice review as usual! I already have Prowl and I'm thinking of getting the other two...
I really do highly recommend it. Like I said, they all have their own feel to them and are well worth having
The Lazy Eyebrow Reviewer About the number switch - The car actually ran both numbers 38 _and_ 83.
huh. I did not know that
The Lazy Eyebrow Reviewer By the way, will you be reviewing any more of the Alternators/Binaltech line other than Meister/Jazz?
The Lazy Eyebrow Reviewer Here's a picture of the car with the number 38 on it: tfsource.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/xsmo30.jpg The car only ran #38 for 1982 though, all other times it's #83
The figure is pixel perfect

3:55 is that a here's Johnny reference

ah great. this is going to bug me forever now isn't it?
The Lazy Eyebrow Reviewer In my experience, yes.
Prowl he was my first.😍
you do know know you can get the real version of him ad bluestreak on ebay for £20 each right? free postage and everything!
That's what bluestreak and smokescreen are actually. They were $35 free shipping. But since that's half of the original price and bluestreak actually said "KO" I think it's safe to assume the ones at that price are knock offs

oh i thought they would be legit because of their high positive feedback. thanks for correcting me + putting up with me.
Haha it's all good. The smokescreen and bluestreak reviews were from those people to be honest an if one were to buy them they wouldn't be getting a bad deal either = P
Smokescreen should have bluestreak’s colors.
why ko if I might ask?
Additionally, the car SmokeScreen was based off has raced under both the number "83" AND "38".

1:23 Melee gasp!
