Had the *first* defendant (Aaron Brown) just asked Judge Simpson, "Could I please report subsequent to Friday, sir? My daughter's prom is upcoming.", he might have gotten his wish. *Telling* the court, "I ain't gonna be here Friday" isn't simply asking for trouble; it's *begging* for it!

I loved his interaction with the recovering alcoholic. It is so cool to see his compassion and understanding. I picked up 6 felonies when I was 19 due to my addiction, and thanks to the Justice system, I was forced to get sober and face my demons. The judge and my probation officer saved my life. Now, I get to work as a mental health technician with people who are right where I was as a teenager.

My impression of him is that he doesn’t just want to send people to jail and/or slap them with a bunch of felony convictions. If there is a viable alternative to jail, he’d rather go that route. However, when people are given chance after chance after chance to correct their behavior and they simply won’t comply, he won’t hesitate to sentence them to jail.

Man! Can we get a court show with judges Simpson and Manning? 🔥

This judge is a magic man, I'm hooked, he gives me pure joy, and hope for the people who are down on their luck so to speak. I lost my twin to alcoholism, I will never stop wishing she were still here. The judge gives hope and impetus to hold these people accountable but with a huge helping of ways to cope. Very funny too :)...

In Judge Stephanie Boyd’s courtroom (Bexlar County, San Antonio, TX), a representative from the county’s probation dept. is in the courtroom to facilitate “the process” quickly.

The first defendant made the mistake of telling the judge what he would do vs asking for the court to be accommodating.

So I think I’ve heard the “I touched a drug and that made me test positive” line in a comedy show or movie. Never in my life did I think I would ever hear that excuse in real life

When you need to feel better about yourself...just tune in to a Zoom court. LOL!!! 🤪Judge Simpson always rocks!!! Guess Mr. Brown should have thought about his daughter before he broke the law and then, opened his mouth. Where do people think they are??? And huge kudos to Ms. Fasing!!! ❤

Judge Simpson is such a character! I agree he needs his own show. Especially with the cast of characters he has in his courtroom. He is a good example of how being respectful and reasonable will get you the best results.

Be honest with the court, be courteous, and things can and will work out better for you in the end.
In other words, don't curse the judge, don't lie, don't skip any payments you are ordered to make, and especially don't skip out on any hearings.
It's amazing how that works better for you.
