A friendly public service announcement from a fellow 'Ski hunter and one of Lukes first 100 subs.....if youve taken the time to leave a comment on his video why not also consider doing this fabulous creator of such great angling content a giant favor and take one more minute to go and HIT THE LIKE BUTTON on ALL OF THE OTHER COMMENTS left on the video and help this young mans channels algorithm and vidoes get recommended to more and more people. Thank you in advance for your kindness and consideration. (Lucas- always appreciate those "sneak peeks. 😉 🎣 🦈)
I wish everyone could experience catching those apex predators. From the cut hands from your braid to the smell of the fish and just shear size of the fish. It’s an experience of a lifetime really. To hear your excitement in your voice as your hollering explaines it all. Congratulations that’s awesome!
I’m heading back out tomorrow morning but 8” cranks been working good for me. Also TopWater and swim dogs have got some action casting. Thanks for watching I appreciate it!
@@TheOutdoorConquest Always, and as often as I can I always catch up on your vids. My dude, you have one fully loaded kayak! Now, does the weight from everything make a big difference? It seems that it might?
@@alexfamie5255 awesome! Honestly I only added an extra motor on the back (25lbs) and an extra battery (25lbs) so I really don’t notice any stability issues or anything like that. This kayak is more than capable honestly. Plus I try to keep my personal body weight between 185-190 so with me and the extras prolly weighs less than some dudes just themselves on a kayak without any gear.
@@TheOutdoorConquest that's fair. That was my main concern was does it place you closer to the water surface. I know you always stay safe brother, that's one reason I watch you! Tight lines! 🎣
I actually purchased a legit folding musky bump board. I figured it’s the best way to collect the data over time if I’m going to keep targeting them (which I am). Thanks a lot for watching!🤘🏼
Talk about facing death in the face, 3 miles off shore in a yak, on lake St. Clair. Looks like fun catching toothy predators, but i would never try in a yak on St Clair. Stay safe and keep slaying those beasts.
@@TheOutdoorConquest I'm referring to the water, they recommend a minimum size of 24' on lake St Clair, due to its ability to change conditions in blink of an eye. Been fishing St Clair for 40 years and love the fishing, caught my largest fish ever at Grosse Pointe/Alter border. That area might be called Detroit river, I could be wrong where the Detroit river starts.
Man this is so on my bucket list do you by chance do guided trips all my own gear just have no idea we're to go on lsc but Ive always dreamed of hooking a musky in the yak
I definitely do not do guided trips but get this question a lot! LSC is a huge lake and DC can be overwhelming which is why I like to troll and if I find a bite then cast. Also this time of year they like to push deeper and into weed cover….thats your best shot or wherever there is some dirty water you will always find musky lurking. Thanks for watching!
Are you using the stock gear tracks that come with the autopilot ? I fish for musky out of mine but I'm too nervous to troll, scared a fish will rip the rod holder right out of the plastic gear tracks. Awesome video
No I do not. I use the Navarre Kayak Fishing dashboard and bolted YakAttack Rod holders down to it so they don’t budge. I get a little play from their lock and load system but I’m ok with it…check out this video I did here ua-cam.com/video/HvUzicTN4RA/v-deo.htmlsi=Mc06PJ9kyzRaKWgK

Sweet fish man, I’m fishing there next weekend. What size lures are working right now?
I’m heading back out tomorrow morning but 8” cranks been working good for me. Also TopWater and swim dogs have got some action casting. Thanks for watching I appreciate it!
Put a tape on ur net to measure or atleast a 42" mark
I actually ordered a legit bump board. My kayak is 40” wide so it should be doable
Nice fish! What brand of rod holders do you use? Looking to get a decent pair for trolling myself
I use the Bass Pro predator musky rods. $100 a pop. Had em for years! Thanks a lot for watching!🤘🏼
I thought I was badass for catching them on my small river with my bonafide. This takes it to another level sir. Hell of a day you had
Thank you! Thanks a lot for watching!🤘🏼

Sweet catch what depth would you recommend fishing at this time
They’re honestly everywhere on St.Clair. I’ve personally been trying to find 10-15FOW with thick weed beds. Thanks for watching!🤘🏼
Beauty fish man. How deep are they right now?
Thank you! It was a rewarding 5 hour trip for sure! They’re anywhere the bait are honestly. I’ve caught em in 9-16FOW. Find the thick weeds.
