Finally! From beginning to end you showed us the complete perspective of a kayak fisherman from the surf! Well done, Die Hard! This is why your channel is one of the best! 👍
Adam you did it!! Beached your kayak without trouble. You and many of your friends, very skilled kayaker's, have "swamped" (and on videos) beaching kayaks. You expected a tough beaching; but that's WHY those big lings are "STILL" there. Mark that rock pile spot for your future. Getting that big ling is likely because few others have fished there. Another great Die Hard Fishing venture. Try the Sierras??
Wow that was awesome. 3 ling cod. I feel your more Calmer then taku when he pulls up fish from the kayak, like you do it with ease and is so easy and not struggling with it. Very gracefully and easy. Good job Adam
Duuuuude! Yeah I remember my first flip coming back in. Really misjudged the last big wave. Went sideways and the kayak flipped over me. It’s more of a scare than dangerous if you know what to do and don’t panic. One thing I learned was to get on the back of my kayak and if I misjudge a wave I can likely stay upright and “surf” into shore. Just make sure you’re able to easily bail off the back of the yak. Not the side or front. Great content, as usual! Thanks, Adam! Will we see you at the fair this year?
everyone should take their barebone kayak out on the surf and practice. when i was first learning i took it out to alameda and practice self rescue. it was quite fun..
Great vid! I'm planning on doing ocean kayak fishing in the bay area in the near future and wish I watched something like this sooner as I tend to over-do it when getting into something new.
Love it! I've been learning on a 12' ultra basic paddle kayak in the intercoastal, but have yet to beach launch into actual ocean. Great video bringing it back to basics!
Nice vid bro! Always enjoy em. Me and a few of my friends go light tackle fishing also. 3 oz total jig weight with 3000 size Japanese reels, 20# braid and leader for the nearshore. Keep em coming bro!
Line fishing is soft. You’d freedive spear that spot if you were a man and few will because of the insane amount of sharks there. They will flip your girly kayak over too.

@@patron40silver sorry I meant to say Struggling.
Thanks for doing manual kayak! Super inspiring, once again.
Highly recommend the pitbull tackle 5” motor oil swim bait. Kills the rockfish and lings in shallow water
Are those Hammer swim baits? Those were my goto secret weapon up the Mendo coast until I found the hand poured swims at Noyo Harbors tackle shop.
If you want big Lingcod, try fishing south of Eureka on what they call the Lost Coast. 25 to 50#ers are very common.
i wanna head up there july to hit up humbodlt harbor and trinidad

Thanks Adam! Nice Ling Cods on he minimal set up. Shows you don't need a lot of gear to get dome keepers
Dude has great reflex’s! When those fish hit it’s twanggg! Another good video!
Real time launch and beach was very cool. Thanks 👍 I just assumed you used a boat launch most of the time.
nice trip and great fishing video where did you launch miss them ling cods

It’s nice to catch ‘em that big in a kayak, Thanks for Sharing
Nicely landed!
Adam, awesome video as always! Thank you for the demo. It is helpful. It was nice meeting you at the MTF event.

Nice video Adam and it looks like a nice day on the big blue. Man you got out of the kayak pretty far out!
Inspiring minimalist adventure! I’m always impressed with the details you include.
great intel for coast fishing hope one day ill do that on the galveston texas coast
I noticed you don’t use a paddle leash. If your paddle gets loose from you, aren’t you screwed with no motor or pedals?
Nice landing bro! Looked a tad sporty out there...
bro Adam come to riverside and we can go to either cat island or out to the coronados and get towed out and back.. lets go!!
Without a fish finder how do you know where the rocks/reef is???
Know of any good cliffs to fish from? Between Half-moon Bay and Pacifica.
Really enjoy your videos and fishing tips
Switches to the Big Hammer. Starts slaying. Nice.
Dude your reaction time is killer!
Good instructional video and safety tips.
Beautiful ling cod! Congrats! What brand and size is the fishing rod?
Great catch
Great fish 🎣
Great episode, thanks.
Love the content! what knot do you use for braid to floro?
When you get showered you know you're dealing with a good fish😎
Nice Adam!
Which walkie talkie would you suggest to buy?
Hey ShortRound, why is the video on dark and blurry on the left in the beginning?
Huge fish, Adam!
great catch!!
Great tutorial! Thank you!
Is the area that you were fishing good bank rock fishing? Where about might that area be?
that rod advice only works for smaller fish… not many folks walk around with 100#+ rods when you aim for tunas you better have a 300# rig haha
Probably need a motor too not paddles, he did say minimal fishing 🍻
Hi Adam, do you have a link for the swim bait that you use?
How big is that little dry bag you use?
Thats good fishing
Nice Adam! 👍
Absolutely amazing content 👌
I wanna buy a kayak ASAP ❤
Where are you fishing at
I wonder can someone say why kayak cant be ridden in like surfboard?
YEAH BUDDY!!!!
Tight lines!
Whats the rod you are using?
I noticed your kayak is registered. Is that because you are usually using a motor?
Curious where you put in
What brand is that swimbait??
No Halibut?
No need a descending device?
Is that VHF radio waterproof?
what do you think?
That’s a nice ling!
Oh... sun protection is another important thing to bring along. :)
I thought you were supposed to ride the wave in lol
🔥🔥🔥🔥
Sick ling
Seems like he didn't trust that new kyaka seemed it flipped to easy
"Ling Ling'z" 👍
BG 3000 reel is the size of most 5000/6000 reels lol
Oh I feel like I haven't seen your videos lately
Wtg 👍👍
you should always paddle all the way to the beach. Never jump out before.
yeah that's a great thing to know.. and never put a kayak in front of you and the wave.
@@josephsaeteurn9158 Oh yea bruises and memories lol.
Money! Minimal effort, Big results
Let's EAT!
Not that minimal
Any ideas to make it more minimal?

Who pissed in your cheerios?
