My ex-husband and I split up when I was in the hospital after my second was born. My second was in the NICU for 10 days, then I was on my own with both kiddos, 2.5 years and newborn. It was tough, but you learn to adapt and let some things go. It’s so sweet to see 2 parents working so well together!

I also struggled with my 3 year old not wanting to wear the appropriate clothes for the season. I found the book "Do I Have to Wear a Coat" by Rachel Isadora to really help. We also gave our child a job of looking at what the temperature and weather are each day and decide which clothes are most appropriate. You are doing great, such a big transition!!

OMG… memories from the very distant past! Oakley does look like a mini Sage except without the carrot top. So adorable. My second wasn’t nearly as demanding a baby as my first… but a holy terror once he started walking. Cherish every moment.
I know I’m excited for all these moments but also worried how to manage it all
Me too. Baby 2 was a great sleeper, not as demanding. But once he turned 9 months he started wanting to be carried more & cries if we're not in the same room every second 😅... kind of stressful in the moment

I've been a single mum of two boys since they were born their now 11 and 12yrs old and when they were little was easier compared to now their going on teens it's more difficult as a single mum.
I have MS, FND, Lupus and other medical conditions and currently struggle to walk, balance, severe dizzines and many other debilitating symptoms but I still continue to be the best mum I can be to my beautiful boys.

It's definitely great to be able to divide and conquer, it took me a minute to get into a routine alone with 2 kids once my husband went back to work.
Don’t get me wrong I am so grateful that Matt is able to work from home and we are able to work together to divide and conquer
Always think it’s a totally different ball game for the women who are lucky enough have their partners at home

My best advice is don't listen to anyone else over yourself..go with your gut. Mom intuition will kick in full force once you have baby. Everything I thought I would do the first time with my first baby went right out the window once he was here. You're gonna rock this mama. ❤

As a mom of 5, one thing my aunt said to me, before I had this many kids and she has 7 kids, was to go with the flow. Especailly since we are outnumbered.

New viewer here. Hey!! Aw having 2 is just amazing. It's very common to split your time. Some days I barely say hi to my husband 😂. Taking that time to be together is so important. Mine children are quite a bit older than yours but it's amazing to watch them grow. Lots of adventures to have very soon. My husband and I are considering baby no 3.... 🙈

To answer your question about moms with 3+ kids, daddy took care of my older two while I stayed in bed with the 3rd mostly. Divide and conquer, one has the baby and the other has the toddler and preschooler. Haha teamwork!

The jackets are the worst!!
I found my toddler didn’t like the restriction of her puffy jacket, but she was happier with a lighter weight version. Almost the weight of a padded jacket liner. Otherwise, a puffer vest is usually successful! Good luck!

I love that you are willing to say that showering before your newborn wakes up is a luxury, and that you sometimes have absolutely no time for yourself, even though you are lucky this time with a very cool baby that still gives you a little bit of me time sometimes :). It's so refreshing. It makes us feel like we're not alone in this 😂.
I have a 9 months old and would like to get pregnant in like 6 months or so, that's why i watched this video (i dont have time to watch all of yours 😉), it is a good picture of what it will be if everything goes well :).
For the maku up, it is nooot silly at all!! People dont see you but YOU see yourself in the mirror!! So it makes total sense to feel more comfortable with a little bit of make up that can make you you but better 😜

2:09 THIS might be a thing lol 😂. My oldest would wake up every 1 1/2 to 2 hours to feed or be up with us. (My oldest is a C Section baby & was in NICU for a few days maybe that’s why ). My youngest ( born via VBAC) would sleep for about 4 to 5 hours most nights. I used to wake up every hour to make sure they were okay 😅!
Not changing diapers at night is something I wish I did with my first. If there is a next time, will definitely give it a try. Your family photos are fantastic!

100% I can’t get my 2 1/2 year old to wear a winter jacket either! Unless like you said, it’s at daycare so I of course pack it when I drop her off.
Pack a coat for toddler but get or make a hooded poncho. Something fuzzy that can act as a car seat cover too. Easy on/off that doesn't disrupt the function of the car seat

I’ve three littles, 3 years old, 1 year old, and 10 week old… and my husband works a lot; life is mad 🤣 but it’s almost impossible to do it on your own dw, I have my mum helping when my husband isn’t around :)

I’m expecting my second in June and will be solo for bedtimes and early morning hours since my husband works the night shift. Eek!!
It’s definitely tough but you can do this!! Once you have a routine it all gets simpler
We get dressed after breakfast or even later. I don’t push it! Picking my battles is how I handle two kids and a tough pregnancy with my third.
ETA same with jackets! I bring it and they eventually ask for it. Natural consequences FTW. No jacket = cold

Wow going out and doing things with a two week old! You guys are killing it. I barely did anything for months with my first. I was tired most of the time for the first months. Hopefully it will be better with the second when he’s born in May!
A family at my daughter’s gymnastics came today with their one week old son! They said they want to keep up with the toddlers activities, and I can’t imagine having the energy to do that.
