Home Tour For Our Family of 19

- We have made a ton of changes to our home since our last home tour including some of the older Kids getting married and moving out and new babies being born. We now have 17 kids, of which 5 are married and have moved out, leaving 12 kids still here with us. Though the married kids may not sleep here, I think you could still say they kind of live here along with my 7 grandkids that visit often. So as you can imagine, we have a very full house!
Love that your house is so well organized. Never apologize for a little mess when you have kids. Your kids look so happy and that is so important.
My son says you don't look old enough to have grandkids. I must agree.❤

As #6 out of 7, I can tell you that while I loved a big family, we were so poor that it was nothing like what you show. I started babysitting at age 10 just to buy things I wanted. By my teenage years it was a huge problem trying to fit in as between school activities and working I had so little time. It didn't hurt me to work, but I sure wish I wouldn't have to start at age 10!
I’d say that it is more typical to have your experience. I’m sorry you had to start so young. That’s tough.
I started babysitting at ten and made 25 cents to 50 cents an hour. Hard work made me successful and gave me confidence and happiness. I was 4th born of 8. Retired now and grateful for the upbringing I had. People are capable of so much if they just try. Thank you for sharing your family with us.

I'm 7 months pregnant with my 7th baby... I'm amazed that you did this 17 times. My body is telling me it's definitely done with pregnancies after this one! God bless

May the Lord bless you and grant you strength throughout your pregnancy. Bearing children is not an easy task, and it is only possible through the grace and power of the Holy Spirit of God.
As we are aware, as children of God, we are not the governors of our own lives; God is. We do not have the right to prevent childbirth, which is known as family planning. If we choose to take matters into our own hands and engage in such planning, we render God incompetent in His mighty plan, and this constitutes a sin.
I understand this is a controversial topic, particularly because many pastors today do not address this significant issue within our churches. However, it is important to note that anyone who impedes childbirth will not partake in the rapture and will face judgment.
If anyone has succumbed to the voice of Satan, it is crucial to seek forgiveness from the Lord, repent, and if you are still of childbearing age, begin having children and raising them for the Lord's purpose in His imminent Kingdom.
I do not wish for this message to serve as a testimony for Judgment Day, but rather as a call to correction for everlasting life and reward.

Growing up with a large family, we slept 3 girls in a full size bed growing up. The youngest in the middle. We all turned out great. I’m soon to turn 70.
We did the exact same thing. Three girls to a full size bed.
And we are nin and 6 shared a room. Two deckers two each bed plus one we were happy and we are now between 20 years plus and 45 we are all doing very well and healthy by GOD'S GRACE
My sister and I always had our own room. But we slept in my bed!
I’m 38 and she still will sleep in my bed when we get together. I even kick my husband out to have sister time! Sometimes with one of my boys between us 😆.
I would sleep in same bed of my sisters anytime 😊❤
NEVER have I seen a young couple so organized with angels for little kids! I'm jealouse!!!
I love how you have designated areas for different things throughout your home, yet things don’t look crowded. Great job managing this! Lovely to see how you make your home work out for a large family.
I absolutely love getting to see the inner workings of big families, and how moms cope and function and run things. My jaw dropped when you showed the changing station! That has to be the best, most innovative idea I’ve seen since Jordan Paige’s drinking fountain by her back door!

I love the nursery connected to the master bedroom. I would personally have two sets of bunk beds in each of those three additional upstairs bedrooms, so that none of the children had to sleep in the basement. The storage units for toys and clothes could be kept in the upstairs hallway to accommodate the beds. Older children who are feeling crowded can move to the basement, if they wish.
I agree. Smaller kids to move out of the basement, go upstairs on additional bunk beds while older kids can move down in the basement if they wish.
@fatumaali6403 I think the idea was that she wanted the boys and girls to have their separate bathroom spaces. She used to have older girls living at home, but those girls have all left the house now. Time to bring the younger ones upstairs.

My Uncle & Aunt had 8 children. Lived in a historical old home in Kentucky. She had the older children stepping in and helping with house & farm chores. My Uncle was quite firm but fun. Unlike my home, there was NO Saturday morning cartoons at their home. 7 am and one of the oldest daughters went down the hallway knocking and waking everyone up. Chores to do, lets go. My cousins grew up knowing purpose.
Just thinking back I guess. Such a beautiful family. Big families are the best. Im the middle out of 7 children. May God bless your New Year. PAX to all.b

I'm so glad they are loved and progressing positively. Having two parents working together in love, a solid relationship to make it work is key. And money, and course. You are blessed. I pray you will eventually be empty nesters together and can send the grandkids home, spoiled.

Agree.. I wouldn’t want to put the little kids in the basement. Bad lighting and so far away from everyone else. There’s a reason she doesn’t like it down there.

As a mom of 7 and a home daycare provider I can appreciate how you have the dedicated space for your business and it’s not the hole house
(Note having the separate daycare kitchen is a Goal for me)

Thank you! And yes it is so nice have a separate area for my daycare. It saves so much wear on my home. Even though I have a lot of my own kids, having additional kids (other peoples) in your home on a daily basis seems to wear it out even more and in different ways. It’s also so much easier for the daycare kids to be able to help clean up after themselves having it in one area and in a more controlled environment and I’m able to have much more activities and fun things for them to do instead of having to make my home into a daycare, I’m able to have, my house be home with my business in the basement. It has truly been a dream.
