Tip from a mom of 4 almost 5 and whos husband is gone from 6am to 9pm when he works...don't put too much pressure on yourself to get it all done when your by yourself. Just do what you can and you cannot possible meet every need at every moment so just give yourself grace. Your kids will learn to be patient and flexible. Enjoy the newborn phase its so fleeting and so precious as you know. I enjoy it more with every baby. Congratulations!

This is precious! Same thing when we introduced our son to our 2 year old. One thing I learned and am still learning is that Sage may need a little more attention and praise from you both. It may not hit her right now but it’s coming and it’s terrible. Just make sure you include her as much as you can with the new baby. She’ll need that attention from you momma so she may lash out against you and cling more to dad. Because things are different now.

So glad to hear that the newborn journey mentally is easier with baby number 2! I think I had postpartum anxiety the first time around in large part due to my son being less than 5 lbs when he was born and of course the normal first time mom worries (I couldn’t relax and sleep even when my son was sleeping half the time), so I’m very hopeful this next time will be different for me.

So glad you are doing well with both babies and taking care of yourself. I’m 5 months postpartum with my first and I just cut my hair to my shoulders. Couldn’t deal with the hair loss. My hair feels healthier now.

About the dress... My answer is "no". 😁 I know the feeling of deciding for special occasions so I gave mine. The dress is nice on you even without a belt but I can see some awkwardness on the belly part that might not appear nice on family photos

It’s good to hear another mom talking about how good her energetic strong willed kid is because mine is that way and I was nervous about him being a big brother in the future but I recently show my boy interact with my friends little baby and he was so gentle and was helping her play and it shocked me

I am due with my second in March. Our almost 2 years old sleeps like an absolute dream and naps beautifully so I am just praying this baby is going to sleep nicely too . That's the only wish I have 😂😂😂

What you said about pp hair loss is THE TRUTH! I needed to hear that BEFORE my baby was born! I was like “what’re yall talking about??” And then at like 3.5-4 months, i was losing BALLS of hair, especially after taking a shower 🤣

1-2 has definitely been easier for me! I also had a 2020 baby that didn't sleep and had reflux so im also so luckily my second is my more chill baby. Also I felt your emotion when they met! It was so overwhelming seeing my oldest when we brought the baby home he looked like such a big boy 😢 he also had a cold developing that we didn't know about and coughed on our 3 day old 😬 daycare problems lol love this video! ❤

The best thing I learned from running daycares that made going out with multiples easy was to follow these two rules; contain and entertain.
Bring a stroller, wagon, carseat for the smaller one, shopping cart for the bigger one (something to contain them in) and toys. I think you'll find it far easier and stress free. 😊
I wouldn't feel as confident if one of my kids were walking and could run off. That terrifies me and I'm sure you have the same intrusive thoughts lol.

Hey Nicole - I’m thinking of encapsulating my placenta for my second pregnancy. I’ve been sold by a podcast and the website for a company who does it. I wondered if you considered this? I feel like it would be up your street but I don’t think you have done it. Is there a reason? I just wonder if you’ve looked into it and what you thought? The NHS website mentions a ‘risk it could be bad for mother and baby’ but with no extra detail or examples of how (typical government backed healthcare advice, completely useless.) So I’m still on the fence but leaning towards doing it.
There’s a lot of mixed feelings about it and new findings lately that I’ve heard that don’t seem ideal. Both my doula and midwives did not recommend it and I also decided not to do it with either brith. But I didn’t do a ton of research myself on it so do what feels right for you! 🤎
My 2 year old has never slept through, up every 20 minutes crying! Second baby due in March 😴😴
How long did it take for Sage's sleep to improve? And did you nurse during the night with her?
Maybe a little Shaw vest to go with it and a belt or just a Shaw.
My first was chill and my 2nd is very vocal so its harder…plus my first who is 22 months old doesnt go to daycare so its really chaotic at home😅
