*The GT90 was a mess!* Ford owned Jaguar at the time and they took the suspension and 5-speed gearbox from the spectacular failure that was the Jaguar XJ220, mirrored its chassis and lengthened it by 12 inches. The engine was based on their ancient Lincoln V8. The GT90 was made from scraps. Ford was NEVER going to surpass the F1 by just adding power and ignoring light-weighting technology. Oooh man, the GT90 was one of those cars i have been fantasizing about ever since i was a kid playing Need For Speed II, it looked like a spaceship to 5 year old me and it still does today, if Ford were to finally produce it today it would still be perfectly on par with modern hypercars. That thing was the Veyron before the Veyron.
I actually kinda like the bel air concept, if the headlights werent shaped like they were then it would have been a hit i think😂maybe couldve been a bit lower
Aww, was hoping in this second video they'd include the ME Four-Twelve. The only concept I've seen irl (that I remember, anyway), and pictures really don't do it justice. Real presence, and supposedly would have had 1000 hp in 2004.
Since most concepts get made a few years after the actual concept, it would have launched after the Veyron, so it would have been some nice competition
I honestly love the retro designs and wouldn’t be sad if they decided to make a comeback. Todays cars are just boring af so I hate people who criticize these attempts at making something interesting. It’s led us to where we are now.
The best thing about the gt90 was that it introduced fords new "Edge" design philosophy that eventually gave us in Australia the beautiful, stunning and elegant Ford AU Falcon!
The GT90 is amazing. I was able to see it in person about 4 years ago. That particular GT90 had a wild story about it ended up at the shop where I was looking at it. Ford had one of the prototype cars in a storage with a bunch of other test mules. Some how the GT90 got listed as a line item on a purchase sheet that was being sold as scrap, so the vehicle was purchased for weight of metal. Someone on the purchasing side had to of realized the error because the car ended up at Detroit shop where I was looking at it. It was completely dusty and I noticed the was cracked. Apparently the tow truck drivers broke one of the windows trying to get into the car. The owner of the shop then said they got a quote for the window, which came in at 90k. It was expensive because it was curved and it was a one off. Probably a bad day for that towing company. We were told not to take pictures....So my buddy got some video (We didn't distribute the video). Out of respect for the company who had it, I specifically didn't mention their name.
I think those cars that go to hell could have been redesigned to look a little better for modern times but a lot of these cars look perfect but I'm really sad that the dodge m4s turbo interceptor Didn't make it on this list
The dodge super 8 would look cool if it was built like a modern mussle car and less of a 50s themed car, I like the Mitsubishi as well as the bulldog I think the bulldog might have been the car evry kid had on his wall instead of the lamborghini, the ford was insane, I love the bel air unlike James, the dodge demon is sick, imagine the hellcat swaps
No one ever mentions the Chrysler me412 it was the first ever American design that to me felt exotic. And the power plant wasn't disappointing either. You guys should make an episode on it!
I respect the work you put into your videos. I find it truly baffling that all major crypto UA-camrs just look at pure wave and completely ignore the bigger narrative of why BTC is pumping and why the future outlook might not be as bullish as it seems. It's kind of irresponsible to ignore the fact that each ETF launch so far has caused a big swing in BTC spike. We were already on shaky footing with historically low volume and almost pure whale pumps, narrowly avoiding a long-term bear market. This is the worst possible time in history to invest as so many don't back up their crypto assets.More emphasis should be put into day trading as it is less affected by the unpredictable nature of the market,……..I have made over 11 btc frm day trading Christiana Robert insights and signals in less than 2 weeks this is one of the best medium to backup vour assets Incase it goes bearish.米米

Seeing the GT90 on the list brought back memories of Need for Speed 2. I wish they’d put that car in a video game today. Looking at you, Forza Horizon 5.
There was another car that I found quite interesting from circa 2003 that never made it into production. It was from Peugeot, and was the 4002 model, also referred to as the Retro Lion or Project Lion.
If there’s one concept car everyone who played racing games in the early 2000s knows, it’s the Chrysler ME-412. You guys should do an Up To Speed segment on that car.
The concept RA previews the Peugeot RC-Z. more than the Eclipse. No AWD, but the production car did have a diesel, and it was based on the then-upcoming Eclipse.
Missed opportunity to talk about the: Audi R8 V12 TDI (later renamed the Audi R8 TDI Le Mans) which may be my favorite 21st century prototype car ever. Also missed opportunity to discuss the Mercedes-Benz C111 prototypes, which were probably the coolest experimental cars from a major manufacturer in the 20th century and the bright yellow I am guessing provided inspiration behind the car in 1981's Condorman.
My fondest memory of the Ford GT90 was that it seemed like the developers of Gran Turismo 2 decided to drastically nerf its performance in the game to the point that its own predecessor the GT40 was faster and performed better than it in the game.
You could do a whole episode on Dodge concepts of the late nineties to the mid 2000s. There was also the: Razor, sidewinder, copperhead, hornet, venom, circuit EV, etc
Got a hearty chuckle out of the dealership markup quip. Just learned that they're making a Raptor edition of the Ford Bronco. Can't wait to see what they do to the price tag of that sucker
The Dodge Super V8 Hemi was added to a game called Top Drives in the American Frontier update. I have not gotten it yet and I am so thankful about that, it is so unbelieveably ugly. I also have 2 Dodge Demons in that game xD Sadly the real Dodge Challenger Demon is a price car, so it is very rare (and hard) to get it. You need to make this into a series. There are so many concepts, and maybe make 10 per Episode instead of 5. Some recommendations: - Bentley Hunaudières - Peugeot Oxia - Peugeot Onyx - Chrysler ME412 - Cadillac Sixteen - Maserati Birdcage 75th Anniversary (for Pininfarina) - Cadillac Cien - VW Golf W12 - Suzuki Hayabusa Sport - Spyker D8/D12 Peking-to-Paris and many many more.

7:26 OH MY GOD! I thought the Lexus SC430 look crap, I definitely didn't expect to see that!
I’ve always wanted to see a concert car D-list this should be awesome
I remember that Bel Air. I did like it, but I didn’t know about that weird powerplant. I can’t imagine that it would’ve made it to production with that engine, especially not if they were trying to compete with the Thunderbird.
my favourite car that never made it into production was the tvr speed 12 where when tvr was dynoing the engine, it broke the dyno which was rated to take 1000hp but they unfortunately canned it because it was too dangerous to drive
Aren't all TVRs dangerous to drive anyway?
@@funguy873 yes but peter wheeler thought it was dangerous after driving it and he is experienced when it comes to cars like it
10:09
James : imagine a hellcat version of this lil boi
Nolan : *then alot of people will die*
Die for this car that is, anyways chrysler axed the demon
idk why but i lost my shit laughing at 7:18 😂😭
I wish Dodge would’ve made a 2 door version of the Charger like the guys on WestCoastCustoms. Good Vid Guys!👍🏽
I hope you guys make a part 2 of this vid, because there's many more amazing concepts that didn't make the cut:
Chrysler ME Four Twelve
Dodge Copperhead
Volkswagen W12
Peugeots Oxia, Onyx and 907
Lamborghini Miura Concept
Boy, this list can be way longer...
Sick list. Also:
Dodge M4S Turbo Interceptor
Pontiac Banshee
BMW Nazca C2, Nazca M12, Z9 GT
Cadillac Sixteen, Cien
Shelby GR1 or Cobra V10
Porsche 917 Living Legend and 904 Living Legend
so many 90s Ferrari and Lambo concepts
and many many more
@@Healtsome The Banshee! I actually kinda like that one.
The concept I’m most upset never made it was the Ford Indigo. It was in the GT90 era and so hot!
I had a 1:18 scale Ford GT90 at home and I LOVED it! Also, best years of my life (the 90's).
I like seeing James and Nolan together. They're perfectly polarized
Perfectly polarized pair of people
I might be crazy, but I love the interior on the first car, its like a comfy art deco.
I actually like the bel-air. Imagine turning that into a Donk.
Honestly, just modernize the front end and headlights, and I dig it
I loved the interior in it. I love old retro style interior
don't know why it gave me rolls royce phantom vibes
i like both the bel air and the ssr. the bel air's interior is a little cheesy tho
@@momoroyale4782 yes but it's what i love about it, it screams 2003, but maybe it's just me being nostalgic for the weirdass cars that were made by the big three before 2009. there's a certain cheapness/kitsch to it that completely disappeared post-2011. pre-crisis american cars and post-crisis american cars have a very different feel imo. the quality increased quite a bit and the interiors got quite a bit more modern and european i think. now that i think about it, even in europe the pre-crisis and post-crisis cars have a different feel to them.
I just love donut media videos … can binge watch them … also i learn so much about video editing from these videos .. the editors are top notch .. Awesome team guys 💯

5:44 lmao😂 james pumphrey always has to do a shoutout anything and everything😂
Those gull-wing doors look like they were made from two 70's lounge chairs at Kmart.
That "Copperhead" concept from Dodge was badass!!
Love it or hate it-if Dodge resurrected the “Mini Demon” as an EV it’d be kinda dope.
fuck no
FUCK NO

I actually kinda like the bel air concept, if the headlights werent shaped like they were then it would have been a hit i think😂maybe couldve been a bit lower
Definitely over the ssr
I agree
@@apollocosmic3780 idk, i always loved the ssr but i would have loved to see the bel air get into production as well.
Maybe it's because I'm in a drop top phase right now but I think it looks really cool
Yeah I don't actually mind the bel air or the dodge if it had a different grill/face and get rid of the side stripes
I love the reference at the end there.
From whence you came, you shall remain, until you are complete again!
One of Jack Black's best imo
7:30 I like how nolan react AHAHAHHA
Aww, was hoping in this second video they'd include the ME Four-Twelve. The only concept I've seen irl (that I remember, anyway), and pictures really don't do it justice. Real presence, and supposedly would have had 1000 hp in 2004.
Thanks for that info. Never heard of (or totally forgot about) it so I had to look it up and learned something new.
The dodge Copperhead will forever be my favorite concept car!
The best thing about the gt90 was that it introduced fords new "Edge" design philosophy that eventually gave us in Australia the beautiful, stunning and elegant Ford AU Falcon!
I’m agree with the demon with all my heart. It look so dang good
Honestly I hope Ford brings back the Thunderbird, it would be crazy to not have that name on a EV.
The Miata has almost no competition. Would be nice to see more affordable Roadsters in the market.

Can I see the video?
@@GoodlyPenguin I have no idea if he still has the video.
@@cenciende9401 I wrote this out quickly. I'm sure there's grammar errors.
@@GregoryBrettin OH dang. I would love to see it one day
I think those cars that go to hell could have been redesigned to look a little better for modern times but a lot of these cars look perfect but I'm really sad that the dodge m4s turbo interceptor Didn't make it on this list
Local Georgia Bulldog fan we appreciate the congratulations our boys fought hard for it!
Really love that they started filming together
lmao I love these dudes. theyre car guys but also wearing a playstation shirt and and then a sega hat
The Demon would have been the coolest roadster ever imo
The dodge super 8 would look cool if it was built like a modern mussle car and less of a 50s themed car, I like the Mitsubishi as well as the bulldog I think the bulldog might have been the car evry kid had on his wall instead of the lamborghini, the ford was insane, I love the bel air unlike James, the dodge demon is sick, imagine the hellcat swaps
Nude datting?!?! All I got was a scammer pretending to be Donut...
Ayo wtf is up with these bots?
@@hellraiser1621 idk
No one ever mentions the Chrysler me412 it was the first ever American design that to me felt exotic. And the power plant wasn't disappointing either. You guys should make an episode on it!
My personal favourite concept cars are:
Sting Ray 3
Pontiac Banshee
Dodge Wraith
Ford GT90
Corvette Cerv III
Buick Wildcat

Day 266 of asking Donut to bring old B2B back
The new buff horses shirt is the best shirt donut has ever made
They've should've added the Jaguar X25 Concept Car to the list. And I still can't believe Jaguar didn't put this car into production.
We were already on shaky
footing with historically low volume and almost pure whale pumps, narrowly avoiding a long-term bear market.
Most failures and loss on investment usually
happens when you invest without proper knowledge of the market..I was able to recover my losses with Christiana
it’s clearly possible. I have made over 1Hunnid thousand dollars from January till now with no joke game plan. She’s a masterpiece and her name is Christiana.😁
My growing love for crypto caused me to explore
until I came across Christiana(although I'm trying to avoid sensationalism) they are by far the best. No hype for hype's sake, but great inspiration to trade crypto
I invested with Christiana too, she understand every beginners intention and fix you to a trading plan that matches your capacity.
I think a Good T/A like her will pay off more than random u-tube videos,a lot of UA-camrs don’t actually care if you loose money, they just want more views and traffic!.,
The TBird wasn't a huge sales success, but it gets a LOT of positive attention in public. A completely different group than my 57 Bel Air (which is just universally loved), but the TBird is still loved.
Weird fact. My friend in high school in Bathurst Australia, his grand father helped quite considerably to the nasa heat tiles.
4:09 that is just a DeLorean that wanted to be fancy.
Ford GT 90 concept used to be most used wallpaper in all internet cafes, when ever I use to see it; i immediately imagine what's the future going to be like. Thanks to donut for reminding me this awesome looking car.
Also this was in "NFS 2" if i remember correctly.
You are the only channel I don't skip the ads, You guys make them entertaining. Keep up he great work, awesome vids!
My dream car I wish they made but because of Mr Benz. The Chrysler ME412. Mid engine v12 sick
Seeing the GT90 on the list brought back memories of Need for Speed 2. I wish they’d put that car in a video game today. Looking at you, Forza Horizon 5.
7:29. That looks like an AMC Gremlin convertible gone wrong
That first one looks hard AF actually it looks more "from its era" than the pt cruiser y'all love so much 😬
Loved the GA Bulldogs shout out, hell yeah
So happy the GT90 made this list!
There was another car that I found quite interesting from circa 2003 that never made it into production.
It was from Peugeot, and was the 4002 model, also referred to as the Retro Lion or Project Lion.
Dude, a Dodge Demon version of the mx5? Hell yeah! factory hellcat engine as an option, Hell yeah!
I think you should check out the SAAB concept cars, such as the EV1, Aero X, Phoenix, 906 Turbo. Definitely a cool bunch
Gt90 was literally one of the cars that instantly takes me back!!!🤘🏿🤘🏿🤘🏿🤘🏿🤘🏿
Oh hell yeah, please more of this!
Am I the only one who thinks the super 8 actually looks good? It’s just so fierce. I love it.
I’m kinda sad the Dodge Dart SRT-4 was ignored again. That’s a concept that ABSOLUTELY should have been made.
If there’s one concept car everyone who played racing games in the early 2000s knows, it’s the Chrysler ME-412. You guys should do an Up To Speed segment on that car.
Ford Evos is my dream car. Essentially what lead to the 2015 Mustangs and the Mach E
6:13 I drove this car in NFS 2 when NFS 2 was new out (yes i am that old). I also remember what Jeremy Clarkson said about it at the time.
6:03 I got a Ford Advert right after 😅
The concept RA previews the Peugeot RC-Z. more than the Eclipse. No AWD, but the production car did have a diesel, and it was based on the then-upcoming Eclipse.
My top 5 failed concepts having not finished this video.
5. Renault Espace F1
4. Toyama FT-1
3. Nissan IDX&idx nismo
2. Mazda mirai

Missed opportunity to talk about the:
Audi R8 V12 TDI (later renamed the Audi R8 TDI Le Mans) which may be my favorite 21st century prototype car ever.
I also have 2 Dodge Demons in that game xD
Sadly the real Dodge Challenger Demon is a price car, so it is very rare (and hard) to get it.
You need to make this into a series. There are so many concepts, and maybe make 10 per Episode instead of 5.
