@@M4MK Not sure where you live but you can drive LHD cars in WA last I checked.. It's not particularly difficult or expensive to get old US muscle cars either. Not exactly cheap either but hey that kind of comes with the territory of owning practically anything with steel bumpers in this day and age unfortunately.
Dude, the M5 E61 had a seven-speed automated gearbox. BMW sold it in Europe only with that automated transmission while the U.S. customers had an option for a six-speed manual. The seven-speed automated was a seven-speed mechanical gearbox with a clutch operated by an electrohydraulic system.
AKA SMG transmission. As we've seen with E46 videos, one can swap it for a true six speed manual transmission. It's relatively easy for a transmission swap. Probably not cheap though.
@@damilolaakanni Theres a difference though, the E46 is an "automated manual" so actually uses the same gearbox as the manual but with actuators. Converting it to a proper manual is a case of removing the auto stuff but the box remains. The E60 M5 is a full on SMG so to convert to a manual requires the 6 speed transmission swap. Why the U.S got the manual when all they drive are autos yet Europe, who predominantly drive manuals never got the manual is beyond my comprehension.
Thanks for the heads up on the R33. When I was stationed in Japan myself and a friend of mine co owned one. Co ownership wasn't about price but I wasn't allowed to own a car in Japan yet. At the time if you were ships company you didn't get to live off the ship or have a car. My friend was in one of the squadrons and they all had cars. Our black 1998 GTR completely turned my perception of Japanese cars on its head. The car was a steal only 5k US in the year 2000. Already modded to 500 horsepower on the dyno. Turns out the owners wife was chair- er I mean airforce and he did something stupid so she divorced him and Japan said pack your bags dude. Many fond memories of that car and actually getting to drive at many of the places in the first Gran Turismo.
In Denmark we have a tax of 25% on cars, and then an added duty of 85% for the first 28.000$ every single penny above 28.000$ has a duty of 150%. So a car that costs 30.000$ would cost: 30.000 * 1,25 = 37.500$ 28.000 * 1,85 = 51.800$ 51.800 + ((37.500-28.000) * 2,5) = 75550$
@@AnthroGearhead you were serious ? The Ford Sierra was sold in the US under the Mekur name and was a commercial flop so I don't think selling the Cosworth model would have made any difference if the base car wasn't selling at all. The Carlton was under Opel and Vauxhall which are both owned by ? You guessed it GM, and I think they didn't want it to over shadow the Corvette since it was as equally fast and cheaper comparatively. So two of the 3 cars he mention were owned by Ford and GM respectively so how would they have killed anyones sales figures when they were owned by them ?
@@samueljones3668 exclude the TVR then since they cant get things right Ford on the other hand, if the Sierra Turbos and the RS200 were made into production car in US, they would instantly destroy the Foxbody Mustangs in terms of performance and price range, heck even the Cortina and wreck those damn Pintos and Mustang 2 easily , the Lotus Carlton would sold better than the Corvettes in the same way but with practicality

@@rustedciruit638 Yea I was like "He- He- Uhhhh... Pokemon tho"
Actually it's romanized "houou" but probably ho-o is more common because no one would have a clue how to pronounce houou.
It's basically an Asian phoenix.
James: 10 cars the USA NEVER GOT
Me: [Cries in Australian]
We got quite alot tbh.....
Just the other ones tho.....
@@M4MK Agreed, but we had our own muscle cars! Like the Ford Falcon, Holden Torana and Monaro, Transams ect
Yea ik
Boy shut up you got the fastest Skyline GT-Rs in the world, and the Holden Maloos, and the Ford Falcon.

Much of Honda is made in America as well. They’re more American than other brands.

James: we have Chicken Tax it's 25% on import trucks
Me: Laughs in Brazilian, cause our tax for any kind of import car is *35%*
Matheus Silva laughs in Singaporean where car import taxes are up to 100%
Laughs in zimbabwean cz our tax is 90%
*Laughs in ri* we can't import anything rn
In Denmark we have a tax of 25% on cars, and then an added duty of 85% for the first 28.000$ every single penny above 28.000$ has a duty of 150%.
So a car that costs 30.000$ would cost:
30.000 * 1,25 = 37.500$
28.000 * 1,85 = 51.800$
51.800 + ((37.500-28.000) * 2,5) = 75550$
Laughs in Urdu cuz in Pakistan its 200%
Lotus Carlton, Sierra Cosworth and TVR’s never went stateside.
They would literally destroy GM,Dodge and Ford company in terms of sales figures lol
@@AnthroGearhead you were serious ?
Dude TVR sucked back in its home the UK cool cars but hardly sold and that was its demise, not to mention it failed countless regulations and couldn't be sold in the US because of it.
@@samueljones3668 exclude the TVR then since they cant get things right
Ford on the other hand, if the Sierra Turbos and the RS200 were made into production car in US, they would instantly destroy the Foxbody Mustangs in terms of performance and price range, heck even the Cortina and wreck those damn Pintos and Mustang 2 easily , the Lotus Carlton would sold better than the Corvettes in the same way but with practicality
The Sierra was sold in the U.S as a merkur XR4Ti. I told think they were high performance or anything but if you ever wanted to like maybe build one or something I’m sure it’s possible with one of those
I'm surprised that you didnt mention the Volkswagen Scirocco

We need road infrastructure, and the commonsense and the ability to drive. Nice cars will only come then.
Rahul Kapoor agreed on infrastructure rest half the world (other than probably Germany) doesn’t have anymore while driving on the road.

For the Chevy SS you could actually order with the Holden badges as an option 👍
You’d be crazy not to, the Chevy badges just look a bit out of place, the grille was built for the Iron Lion, not a bar of brass coloured plastic
