Classical Conversations: CC Cycle 3 AT HOME

Hi everyone!
This is our second year using the Classical Conversations curriculum here in Buffalo, NY!
Last year we were part of a large local CC Community of 100 kids and we hope to return to our large community next year! This year, because of Covid, we are just doing our “CC community day” once a week with just a couple friends in our home.
On Wednesday’s, from 9-12pm, we introduce the new material for the week, we do presentations (like show & tell); a science experiment together; a fine arts together and then we spend time review all the weeks we’ve done so far. There are 24 weeks of CC Foundations and we just supplement with a separate Math & LA curriculum. We spend 30 min a day for the remaining 4 days of our school week listening to our memory work via the CC Cycle 3 app while we color or keep our hands busy with play-doh or kinetic sand. We go deeper in our topics with picture book read-a-loud time, coloring sheets, songs, games & acting out the scenes. There are a ton of great resources to help via CC Connected (through the Classical Conversations website), YouTub, Half-a-Hundred-Acre-Woods Blog, & Etsy for additional coloring sheet downloads.
We’ve found that a classical education, especially via Classical Conversations, has helped our children grow in knowledge so much more than I could have ever imagined! I was only familiar with a “traditional method” of schooling and I’ve been BLOWN AWAY with what they are able to learn and RETAIN with this method! Even more, I love the mission of CC which aligns with our family mission statement:
To know God and make Him known!

Did you find an “appropriate “ way to find other families who were in that same boat? We had to part with our community over covid issues, and now all the local communities are meeting on the same day (that we aren’t available). Last year we did what you did with another family, but they are not going to continue. I am at a loss on how to attract other families without causing hurt feelings with the local CC SR.
