their stock pickups are actually good even the regular humbuckers are way better than Fishman emg or bareknuckle idk about lundgren that’s the one I don’t think I’ve ever tried I’ve had some good dimarzios and especially seymour Duncans though

@@philippes1987 I'm the same way! My budget omen 6 was my favorite guitar ever. Especially once I threw so SD black winters in it. Then I discovered the Reaper7 and the Banshee gt6. Now imma needs me a triad.

Sounds good but i thought it would sound a bit different ..I think i still prefer the sound of a regular humbucker.. but who knows I'll probably have to try it in person to give a solid opinion

Still not sure how triple coil pickups work
Not that I know anything about the mechanical\electrical part of it but Ola Englund said it practically just adds a bit more bass which makes sense, and I suppose it kills more noise because that was the original point of humbuckers?

I don’t see how it would cancel more noise, the only reason humbuckers cancel noise is because it’s two single coils in opposite polarity, when that third coil is added it would have to share a polarity with one of the other coils basically cancelling the hum cancelling
There’s a wiring diagram up on the sweet water page for these
adding a coil into humbucker would lead to more noise, so far it looks like a gimmick. it would make sense if you could flip between 1/2 2/3 coils humbuckers it would sound like shifting the pickup further to the neck. all 3 coils on makes no sense to me so far

Will these pickups be for sale?
idk about this one lol, the triple bucker just seems like it would add a lot of mud and just make the whole sound wholly less focused. The farther a pickup coil is away from the bridge, the darker and less focused it is by geometry.
You could definitely hear it too. This would make a lot more sense for a short-scale 6-string guitar, and the lowest tuning being a drop c#. I imagine somebody could be much more creative with it than this short demo lol.
Also shortening the coil width, so it could somehow match the total width of a regular dual-coil humbucker, would be absolutely killer.
@@joselaba Right. Another thing to consider, this guitar having a large pickup route for the bridge position will make swaps impossible without looking awful. Considering nobody else makes a tri-humbucker, there's no options whatsoever, so if you aren't happy with the stock sound, the whole guitar becomes a liability, unfortunately.
I think this is just like a standard way 3 coils are activated like on other double humbucker guitars where its essentially a humbucker with a single coil activated which broadens the tonal range. It feels like a snappier humbucker. Im not sure if thats what they are doing though. There no other demos
Thank you for releasing a guitar that looks like a metal guitar instead of some purple sunburst Crayola warehouse accident. Some of us just want flat black guitars and it seems a lot of companies are forgetting that.

I haven't played every guitar brand but if you tell me there's one better than Schecter i won't believe you. To get the quality and specs that Schecter puts into their guitars from other brands you'd have to pay at least twice as much but the problem would remain that you still bought the wrong guitar.
Just bought a schecter sls from Sweetwater for $1,500. Two days later the pickups crap out and sound staticky with no sound. The back has big gashes and the build quality is lacking. Pretty disappointed bc I like schecter
@@RandomationsYt That's really interesting, I would think that even if Schecter did send one out in right condition, Sweetwater quality control should've caught glaring issues like those, have you contacted them about a swap or return? Which sls did you get?
@@brunky89890 yes i ended up returning it and Sweetwater is always great about their customer service. It was a sls bb hip shot bridge. When it did work it played very well I must say

i used to not like Schecter, they're just fire nowadays, the MV 6, the reapers, the nick johnston sig, the Van nuys, aaron marshall sig, now this, wish i had all the money wews
Does it have an evertune option?
I installed one on mine. You will need to install a frame for it to work. The body is too slim. It works great and not uncomfortable, only an 1/8” of an inch. Make sure to get high tension saddles if you do.
For some songs all we need are strings 7, 6, and 5. So just a three string guitar 😂
