- This 40 minute 5000 steps walking workout will help you to lose weight and burn fat while having fun walking and dancing to upbeat music. If you're used to working out with 'Improved Health', this is considered an intermediate level workout. Total step count today is 5140 steps (including the stretching exercises at the end).

I was gone from here for about 3 weeks with a stomach flu and ended up in ER because doc said I was low on potassium from dehydration so that's why it's important to stay hydrated even when you don't feel thirsty. I kept working out a little anyway and I just finished this workout and it was great. Glad to be back! Thanks for keeping me motivated!
Oh wow! I'm glad to read that you're better now and also understand the importance of staying hydrated (especially when doing these workouts). I find it's best to keep a reusable water bottle beside me in the day to ensure I drink enough. It's so easy to forget to drink enough if the water isn't beside us. By having the bottle, it also allows you to see how much (or how little) you're drinking.
That's one of the reasons I like your workouts because you remind us to drink our water!

Oh, AMAZING!!! I love that you started with the plan for 10 min, yet finished it! I often suggest to people to promise yourself to do 10 minutes, because it's enough to get energized...and then people usually do more.

Oh yess Cynthia we did it 🎉 and I feel sooooo good! Every minute was perfect julie!❤ even if this morning at 7h I did a 30 min 😮 I cood not wait tomorrow to do this one. I just wanted to say thank you for creating this 40 minute video. I used to do the 10,000 steps one and stop it at 40 - 45 mins because that's all the timeI have before work in the mornings, and I also struggle to go on longer than that. This video is the perfect length and has similar music to the 10,000 steps one. Really grateful for this.

I'm so glad to read that you're committed to taking care of your health, and not allowing excuses. When I see a lot of frail seniors, I always wish they would have worked out and not given excuses, either. Getting older doesn't mean getting weak. We can absolutely be strong as we age if we just keep at it.

I wanted to quit but I didn’t. I slowed down a bit the second half and was able to complete the whole workout. I am extremely proud of myself lately for sticking with my daily workouts and choosing longer ones as well. There is such a variety! Thank you Jules, for making it possible for seniors especially. 5,000 felt like 500! You are the deejay of walking the way you mix up the moves and add just the right music. The one legged double side kicks were great as were the jumping jack double front kicks. Also always appreciate the written motivation and water breaks. Starting off this beautiful new week feeling "in the pink" (just like your colors in today's workout). 💖

Love it! For the better part of a month, I got out of my routine of exercising to your videos. It's easy to come up with excuses, and then one day leads to another. I did not think I would make it through the entire video since it is longer, but I did. I barely looked at the count down clock, because the routine and your motivational sayings (which always speak to me) kept me so engaged. You are inspirational! I'm so glad I came upon your videos last year when I was looking for a 1980's music workout. You truly have something for everyone. The Dr. has told me walking & aerobic exercises are safe to do. I have calcium build up in my LAD artery caused by genetics & stress.

Thanks, Jules! My health is improving! After a couple of months of doing your workouts, I actually WANT to workout daily. I would never have desired to attempt a 40 minute workout a few months ago, but now I love the positive mood I’m gaining by moving my body. I’m stronger, have more stamina, losing weight, dropped a clothing size, and I really look forward to exercising after at least 35 years of neglecting my body.
