Jango being one of my favorite characters in Star Wars and the fact that I never had a GameCube made it a no brainer for me. Games amazing if frustratingly hard in some sections. I love that they have some of the open seasons comic in it too.
This and Revenge of the Sith were my fav star wars games on my ps2 when I was little. Although I don't think I ever managed to actually finish bounty hunter, I actually found it a very challenging game. I'm probably just bad though as you said it was easy. However I very vividly remember being stuck on a level where you have to fly around this chasm or smth and snipers shoot at you from the most obscure angles.
We gotta give some credit to Aspyr; they did a good job with this one. My first impression of them was the KOTOR 2 fiasco, but seeing the excellent work they did with Tomb Raider, they deserve to regain some prestige. The game itself is a different story. Honestly, I didn't remember the game being so meh. Basically, it's about going from point A to point B, shooting at anything, and not dying (It's really fun to use the jetpack though). The first three chapters are absolutely easy. Things change from the fourth chapter onwards, where it gets VERY difficult, to the point where camera issues can cost you against tough enemies like the bando gora, but It's not a game I would replay. It's recommended for the nostalgia factor and if you're a Star Wars fan.
"I'm just a simple man auto-aiming my way through the universe" It's on my wishlist so I will at some point check the game out. Looks like it can be a fun time despite the small jank here and there.
i cant believe this game has been remastered. growing up this was one of my favourites (i can almost smell the instruction booklet) and i will for sure pick it up after watching your video!
Aspyr going back and remastering or re-releasing all these Star wars games give me hope they will re-release Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith
Imagine in a perfect galaxy... 1313 gets made... But they add a prologue with Jango Fett and as the prologue ends we get a look at young Boba Fett who you play as, continuing to make a name for himself to live up to the Fett name. Combing through the Coruscant underworld and moving to other vibrant planets with an array of weaponry to take down an array of enemies and bosses.
Jango fett has arguably the most amount of accessible content to build a great game or television franchise on. His coruscant gallery from dark horse comics is fantastic.
Amazing video my friend!!!!! I didn't know anything about this game and it looks good but like I've told you many times it would have to be available to download on mobile app for me to play

Good nostalgia. I didn’t play the re-mastered version, but a few years back I got the original for PS4. What I loved best about the game was the dedication to old-school canon. It was great to run around Oovo 4 after “Racer” (pod-races were mentioned in a loading screen), hear about “the poor toydarian sap who lost everything last season” from Rozatta, and yeah, encounter a Krayt dragon for the first time after learning about the creature from a hunter in a “Phantom Menace” video game, and reading about Jabba planning to pit one against the rancor. Great treat for Star Wars nerds, and just a fun game for anyone who just wants to go “pew-pew” in space.

Its nice that this one is a pretty good port and even with the graphics updated a little. Its a bit better than Aspyr's usual barebones port. I actually do like the modern controls because in the original version, which I did play a fair bit on my friend's gamecube back in the day, you have to spam the ever living shit out of the A button to shoot rapidly. It's literally 1 tap = 1 shot. It got really tiring fast. Now you can just hold down the right trigger on your controller of choice like any modern shooter. That alone is a huge quality of life improvement for me.
I had this on PS back in the early 2000's. It didn't get really high reviews back then. It was about average in terms of reviews. It was like a 6 or so from what I remember.
Is this different from the first release they did on ps4? I bought that one I think last year or so and then I saw this one and didn’t get why this is being released again. Is it just a graphical thing?
I was hoping the tomb raider remastered treatment, which was almost perfect remaster, new animations, new models, real 4k textures, adding so many new things to the maps, it almost feel like a small beautiffl remake, after that, any remaster not doing the same thing is not worth buying in my eyes
Remember back 2002 on PS2 having such frustration with broken camera, unfair buggy platformimg and endless cheap deaths. Coming back years later and same issues are there, gave up on tatooine level as it’s the cheapest deaths over and over and felt like was having a fun relaxing experience. Trash then trash now. Better Star Wars games out there and bounty hunting game could really be done well in right hands similar to red dead redemption 2.
0:00: I dunno. Heard the Collection has gotten schway fixes, just like Company of Heroes 3 lately and Halo: The Master Chief Collection over time. Perhaps occasional revisits are a must. Overall, can admit that it's more of a "Play the Story, Skip the Game" title, but by the Force, I highly recommend it more than the now shark-jumping Mandalorian saga in Disney, and it is quite an awesome companion piece to the Darth Plagueis novel, the Episode I and II movies, the Jango Fett comics, and other notable Prequel era Legends lore (and to me, it's noticeably better than the Shadows of the Empire game). Worth the Steam/GOG Star Wars Legends library, regardless of its flaws. Next, we should get the same polished treatment for the Revenge of the Sith main game, Rogue Squadron II: Rogue Leader, and the PS2/Wii/PSP take of The Force Unleashed. The library hungers for them. Addendum: Don't call Rozatta a "sidekick" though.
This game is easier not because of the auto aim, but because of the slow-mo they added to the scanner, and when aiming you fire much much faster than you really should by mashing the trigger repeatedly as fast as you can, allowing you to melt enemies with extreme ease. So they at least did make you into Jango Fett somewhat.
looks like something I would've enjoyed 15 years ago but wouldn't be able to get through the jank nowadays. Like I tried the force unleashed 10+ years after it's premiere and wasn't able to enjoy myself with it
The yo could say the blasters are easy but if you try and be fast paced, the auto lock isn’t 100% as you saying it’s good. The Camera isn’t as bad as the old 1️⃣ tho. Plus you have to spam instead of holding over half the game cuz holding the trigger down is slow.
Right now the PS2 on PS4 version is on sale for under $5, should I get this "remaster" over the PS2 on PS4 version? Should I just get the one on sale while it's still on sale instead? P.S. Auto shooting was common in console action adventure games on the PS1 and PS2 era. I don't consider this game a shooter, it's action adventure. DMC and Bayonetta have auto aim.😢
Never used them much, but man, that era of gaming was such a treasure trove. Would willingly start a world war if it means bringing it back, among other things that need a renaissance.
Modern Gamers don't appreciate where it started from I swear... Thanks for letting me know one of my childhood games has a shitty engine with shitty graphics... (even though that's the limit to their technology and budget)
@@100StarWars they literally had to download Nintendo GameCube source code to update it... and try to make it playable for modern gamers.. and yet you still couldn't enjoy it....
@@100StarWars maybe you didn't count unlocking trophies as part of the difficulty. For example 1 trophy requires capturing and not killing any secondary bounties. How you can do this, with certain bounties that like walking off platforms to their deaths, make it difficult to me. Or what about the trophy that requires no innocent bystanders being killed on the first Tatooine level. I still can't get that trophy and it's tied to another final trophy.
No, I would not count Achievements to be part of the difficultly. Achievement challenge and core gameplay challenge are entirely separate. It's like Gears of War had one of the hardest achievements of all time to unlock called "Seriously..." but that didn't mean it was one of the hardest games ever made. For a trophy hunter it might be a challenge but for a general gamer I would say it would not.
@@100StarWars I actually agree with you, I wouldn't call myself a trophy hunter either. I usually don't care about trophies unless it's a game that I absolutely love. And I love Bounty Hunter so in this case I have to trophy hunt. I also accomplished every troohy on PS4 so I want to do the same with this version. But had to give up.
Worth buying? This game shouldn't even have a remaster. (Also, you're wrong about bounty hunting. It's actually integral to the game and depending on if you found the bounties, this would mean you actually get to fight the final boss and see the ending. Without collecting the bounties, you're literally not even going to beat the game)
in my opinion you take too many things for granted. sure the game wasn't super revolutionary and it has a lot of problems but at that time there weren't many third person shooters, let alone one with that much freedom of movement. the auto aim is super inaccurate and uncomfortable and it's done that way because it gives you the ability to shoot multiple targets at the same time. it's not true that guns are good for everything, you can use them against bosses but why do that when you have more efficient weapons at your disposal that the game itself obviously throws in your face for that purpose?
I mean, I'm not taking anything for granted because I'm talking about this game - not the 2002 version. The guns literally melt everything without fail, I showed it on 3 bosses in the video lol

My god he lives 👀
I hath returned.
i have the original.should i get this? ❤thamks
If you enjoy the original and want more modern experience sure!
Depends if you'd prefer a more modern experience or the true classic experience really!
@@100StarWars true. I'd have to think about that. Thanks for responding.
Waiting for a Shadows of The Empire remaster!!!
One day maybe!
You have to thank God that you haven't played the original before. It was significantly more difficult with worse controls and no QoL updates.
I did play the original haha
Top 3 best Star wars game!!
I think it's worth playing just to light everyone on fire HAHAHAHA
I like my NPC's Medium Rare.
@@100StarWars yum yum deep fried NPC XD
Nomnomnom
I'm still hooked on swtor but this will be a nice break anyway
It's good fun!
Mommy Kreia? Interesting cheat.
Hehehehehehehe
Never used them much, but man, that era of gaming was such a treasure trove. Would willingly start a world war if it means bringing it back, among other things that need a renaissance.
Nobody has ever called this game easy lol
I have. Because it is.
bought this and enjoy it. but yeah the camera is so bad.
Modern Gamers don't appreciate where it started from I swear...
Thanks for letting me know one of my childhood games has a shitty engine with shitty graphics... (even though that's the limit to their technology and budget)
I've been gaming since the 90s lol and I literally said the game looks good, but the NEW camera controls don't suit the game..
@@100StarWars they literally had to download Nintendo GameCube source code to update it... and try to make it playable for modern gamers..
and yet you still couldn't enjoy it....
Please don't support this company unless you have no other option. Better for the industry and the IP to emulate.
Okay
Looks very similar to Dark forces 2 - Jedi knight
Hmm, vaguely I guess.
Wow this makes me feel old, so basically your better off getting an old ps2 and the game for that?
If you'd rather the 2002 experience then yes. If you'd prefer a more cleaner, modernised experience then no.
The 2016 version is the best out of all of them.
Interesting... I might get it
You should!
Book
Kotor remake? Never happening.
Don't say such terrible things, Ronald Pickering.
This game is good
Indeed!
I would never call this game easy. Maybe unintentionally difficult due to frustrating game mechanics.
I must be built different or something then 😎
@@100StarWars maybe you didn't count unlocking trophies as part of the difficulty.
@EagleLeader1 as long as you got your money's worth that's all that matters
You kinda sound like Obi Wan xd
Remake or nothing. Remasters waste of time unless you add actual content. Like Bully Scholarship
wait, are we praising PS2 graphics on 2024? WTF ?
When we're talking about it in the context of a new edition, yes.
This was a PS3 exclusive being an XBox player. I bought this unseen
Nice!
loved the original. sadly i dont want to give disney money.
Understandable. Have a nice day!
That is not true at all lol. The bounties are not connected to unlocking any of the story.
in my opinion you take too many things for granted. sure the game wasn't super revolutionary and it has a lot of problems but at that time there weren't many third person shooters, let alone one with that much freedom of movement. the auto aim is super inaccurate and uncomfortable and it's done that way because it gives you the ability to shoot multiple targets at the same time. it's not true that guns are good for everything, you can use them against bosses but why do that when you have more efficient weapons at your disposal that the game itself obviously throws in your face for that purpose?
I mean, I'm not taking anything for granted because I'm talking about this game - not the 2002 version.
The guns literally melt everything without fail, I showed it on 3 bosses in the video lol
It's way better than that God awful Star Wars woke DEI Outlaws game 😂
How do you know? Star Wars Outlaws isn't out yet...
Lucas film is so lazy it’s disgusting 🤮 no one should support this franchise anymore.
What
