How long has it been since we waltz?
Me: decades?
Hours...
Me: goals...
CandyBachNai I can do the moonwalk if you want, close enough?
CandyBachNai THAT devoted to one another, beyond death.
Indeed it
Even with amnesia, the Mamushka is so ingrained in Addams family history that Fester can do all the moves flawlessly.
Muscle memory
I know I love that little detail! He had little bouts of this that hint at him being the real fester. Though I’m sure even without it the family seemed to like him since he got in so well
@@inkheart151that was apparently the original ending. Gordon was actually the doctor's son and just looked like Fester, but the Addams liked him so much they accepted him as Fester. Clearly they decided on just making him actually fester for a more happy ending.
I love how Wednesday's dress is a younger version of her mother's
Tatyanna Lollies she's going to be just as beautiful as her mother, but not as passionately beautiful, more the icy emotionless beauty.
Esmerelda The Griffon I feel like her husband would be like her dad tho like unspoken passion that they know is there but confuses others
Tatyanna Lollies yea
That was always Christina Ricci's conception of the character: she wants to be like her mother.
I noticed she had red nails like her mother

@@leobardomelgoza7178 good question he wasnt in part 2
4:46 Morticia is so confident She doesn’t even mind Gomez’s ex’s being there lol
LOL! Morticia not worried about nothing. 😏
The way she and Gomez adore each other, jealousy is completely out the window. I'm in love with their relationship. It's so sweet
Gomez only has eyes for Morticia, and she knows it.
@@victoriakinny9210 Except when they incorporate mind games in their dancing. 😝
And they seem okay just being complimented by her. 😚
At least Cousin It treat Margret with respect, Tullly was a terrible husband.
That's true
I think we all need a Cousin ITT in our lives
From the way Margret talks about Tully, she either married him blindly thinking he was going to be highly successful as a lawyer, and years later, saw him for the crooked bum he really is; or he really was a man of good character, but then changed, and was no longer the man she married.
@Madison and Rochelle✨🌸 weirdo
@@Solider7 That...sounds plausible.
What a wonderful story arc for the character Margaret, she was blind and shallow back then, but now that cousin it came along, she opened her eyes. You might say, "It" changed her life!
My guinea pig popcorned
Ah! Lol nice pun there👌
Come, pennywise
“It”s a beautiful thing
She's an addams
The transition from the waltz to the full fledged party is one of the best moments of editing in the entire film.
creative and artistic
One of the best I'd say
This whole movie deserved an award for it's editing!
Impressive, Anjelica Huston and Raul Julia had such a nice chemistry with the dance, and it transitioned to a ball
When I was a kid I used to think this party was what goth clubs were like.
Gomez+Morticia = relationship goals!!!!
I LOVE Morticia's gown for the party..that black lace was beautiful.
Such a much better love story thanTwilight.
Chibi Lychee Yes! Why strive to be like Prince Charming and his princess or like Joker and Harley, everyone should strive to be like Morticia and Gomez, two people who unabashedly love each other and are the perfect pair
Metal-Max1991 morticia and Gomez are a healthy couple and not abusive like joker and Harley,
@@devannyblanco3309 In one of the movies they say they hurt each other...
I figured out what Itt said to Lurch.
"Lurch old friend, good to see you again. Is it true, they found Fester?"
Shanethefilmmaker How'd you figure that out?
I'm fluent in Addams. Plus Lurch's happy nod gives it away.
They were college roomies, and must of pulled there fair share of pranks back in the day.
@Supreme King of Imagination Impressive. Can you pick up the rest of what Itt was saying through out the films? I really want to know what he said, though I have an idea.
I thought Lurch was just grunting because he wanted to end the conversation, annoyed by It's voice lol.
I want someone to look at me the way Gomez looks at Tish
Madelyn Grace same!
Madelyn Grace Don't we all?
Madelyn Grace Gladly 😏
I want a girl to look at me the way Morticia looks at Gomez
Me too
There are two things we can all learn by watching the Addams Family. One, to love your partner always. Gomez and Morticia are almost everyone's definition of a strong loving relationship. They both enjoy the same things and they both are infatuated with each other. They cannot be apart for more than five minutes that's how much they are in love. They have been together for such a long time that it would be useless for anyone to try and break them up. Two, they are family oriented by so much. The values movie Debbie even tried to break the family up but you never do such a thing. While they aren't scared of dying and enjoy being tortured, they will never stand for anyone wanting to break up their family.
Harley_Lotus_Flower 23 the only thing they fear is the family being forced apart
In a world of Kardashians....be an Addams.
The irony is if Debbie had just tried she could have fit in with the Addamses perfectly
Exactly. The sheer idea of Fester never seeing Gomez again nearly killed him. The second Fester reaffirmed his family ties, Gomez instantly returned to perfect health.
I really like how Lurch only smiles at Cousin Itt :D
He smiles when the kids give him a glass of lemonade on the house later in the movie. Lurch isn't really that bad of a guy, he's just not very sociable.
Yes, Lurch isn't very sociable but the thing is that everyone loves Cousin It, because he is THE cool relative. The It crowd relative y'know...He is supposed to be the most charismatic/eloquent Addams, but the audience only hear gibberish from him (and that's the joke)
"We've danced the Mamushka since god knows when."
I love that line.
I've always loved how their carazily dangerous activities hurt you only if you believe they will. Once you'll become part of them, you'll be just fine XD
Well, as the poster tagline says: Weirdness is relative.
That might be the best way to explain their apparent invulnerability to just about everything, and yet they can feel threatened. It's like they can only not die if they WANT the sensation.
LOL
Morticia: "Why Lumpy Addams, look at you. All grown up!"
Lumpy: *Smiles*.
Me: "Awwww, so sweet!" XD
He looks so bashful after that, though I can't deny, I would be blushing too if Morticia complemented me. :)
Honestly it’s such a mood when one of your aunts starts fawning over how grown you are lol
Lumpy Addams is cute😍
Its part of being an Addams, always encouraging the younger generations and helping build up their own self worth. Thats such a caring family.
@@ChestersonJack Imagine Morticia and Gomez as your aunt and uncle though. Ugh that would be so fun
So we are finna ignore the fact that It has the strongest game of all time.
Nicole Moses I didn't. Cousin It grows a hair for every pussy he conquered.
Dominus 319 damn son he got gammmee
The original Mr. Steal-Yo Girl
I just can’t stop beaming when flora, fauna and morticia actually got along terrifically instead of cat fighting over Gomez 🥰
Gómez didn't like the Amor twins. He just wanted to keep them away from Fester because he was envious of him.
@@GatoPardo09 hmmm, idk about that
R.I.P. Raul, you were an amazing Gomez, and you will be sorely missed.
Best Gomez ever.
I Salute this actor for bringing such a character to life!
They probably were going to make a third movie before he passed away.
Indeed it
I miss World Yu-Gi-Oh I'm missing ain't no Yu-Gi-Oh his name is Raul Julia and I miss you and y'all want for your f****** up your just do s*** okay keep doing it I love you man he's good at what you do
I love how every couple has their own style of dancing yet everyone is perfectly in sync
There have been a few incarnations of the Addams family through the years but for me this one was the best of them all 😊
I agree.
And let's be honest, that's mostly because of Raul Julia's performance as Gomez. Rest in peace, for you are missed.
@@charlirenner193 actually the whole cast was perfect. It wasn't just because of Raul, although he was amazing.
@@GetToDaChoppa-k5r I said mostly. The other cast were amazing too, I just wanted to give a shout-out to Raul.
I feel the same
You can tell Fester was showing even more in this scene. Considering he managed to do all the correct moves of the Mamushka with no apparent practice.
Muscle memory would be kicking in
@@Wander1508 which further proves that he's the real Fester
EXACTLY!! The dead giveaway that he really was the REAL Fester was when he taught the kids how to properly use a sword. Was probably something that triggered the memmory after he saw the kids playing the same way he did with Gomez.
I appreciate how the background actors, from Margaret to the twins to the various dancers, regardless of importance, all remain animated throughout the scene. Moving, dancing, making various facial expressions, not just standing there blankly because the camera isn't focusing on them. Nothing kills the immersion of a scene quicker for me than the background characters acting like the moving or scary or dramatic moments playing out mere feet away from them are no big deal. Way to remind me it's all fake, y'know?
Seeing this movie as a kid taught me that being "abnormal" is ok.
It certainly is.
There's a little bit of Addams within everyone of us. Kind of.
Some of us more than other's, ayy Old Man?
DaRichMan indeed old man, indeed
For me it’s Wednesday
Adam's apples 😉💃
I think I'm more of a Lester: the awkward one of the family who tries
Biggest sign in the movie he was the real Fester was that he knew all the steps to the Mamushka. You can’t fake that, knife juggling and sword swallowing was involved.
Cousin Itt and Margaret were destined!
Gary Woods II indeed!
They even had a kid
Yeah, but how the hell did she understand him? Did she learn IT speak?

i miss him he became gomez
Of course!!! :D
Raul Julia was the perfect Gomez, period
He was the perfect person for this role. Definitely a classic movie, for the classic actors 😎
They should do a prequel where Gomez and mortisha meet for the first time
NOW THAT WOULD BE SOMETHING!
@@geoffwilliams4478 yeah

YaoiAngel00 it was already wrecked. He was the fixer upper
YaoiAngel00 it wasn't a happy home to begin with
Well, I mean, tully died... 😂
Agreed, that was a great romance.
Gordon(Fester) really should've figured out he was really fester during this. Who would know it so naturally by heart???
Very true
Ive read festers bio and it says that the mamushka dance made him remember things (not all)
@@Rosiecrossley1 it is scientifically proven that certain musical stimuli can invoke familiar memories and sensations in people suffering from amnesia, plus since he has been known to have possibly danced the Mamushka before when he and Gomez were younger, he is innately triggering his own muscle memory to help him dance.
That's what I'm saying. He just returns to this family and automatically knows all the dance steps??
I was 100% sure at this moment. There were other morbid moments of him that could’ve just meant that he was a weird guy, no relation to the Addams. But when the mamushka scene came, I imagined there would be some slapstick of him messing things up and all, but no, he knew it all
Okay, Fester doesn't remember he is Fester in this scene. At 6:40 you can even see that he doesn't understand what the first steps were, then he first imitates Gomez, then just starts running with this crazy complicated dance. After those first few steps he is completely in sync with Gomez, which means that this is muscle memory to him. In order to get a dance this complicated to be full muscle memory with zero conscious thought, you need to do it dozens upon dozens of times. Out of my vast catalogue of dances I know, the ones that I could do with zero thought number in the single digits, and that is out of somewhere between 50 and 100 dances (nope, not a clue on any number narrower than that).
What I am saying is, they had to sit there and do this dance pretty much every day as kids.
"Tish, how long has it been since we've waltzed?"
"oh Gomez... hours"
I want this
"We danced the Mamushka for Jack The Ripper" LOL
I love how Fester instinctively knows how to dance the Mamushka, despite his missing memory...
Probably like muscle memory.
It probably in his nature, despite that he doesn’t remember who he is.
The fact that he did the dance so well, was some of the best damn foreshadowing I've ever SEEN!
0:57 Oh, that hand kiss is absolutely beautiful!
The twins angrily say "I'm Flora, I'm Fauna!" The lawyer quips "I'm flattered" Such clever dialouge
Cousin It pulling up while bumping MC Hammer in his car! LMAO! So many iconic moments in this movie!
I love how throughout the movie he slowly regained his true memories and feelings
For someone like me who HATES cheesy things, I would gladly say without any shame that Gomez Addams is a huge exception! The way he merely speaks has something so naturally passionate that it makes me quiver. I always keep shifting between the series and the movies due to their differences, but in a certain way, I feel like they are completely incomparable. John Astin was designed to be more obvious and familial, while Raul Julia was more passionate naturally. Both are in their own places despite being related and I can very proudly say that there's not a single thing either about the movies or the series that I hated or disliked. The Addams Family is the most amazing thing that has ever happened to me❤❤❤❤❤😍😍😍😍😍
The Addams Family are my favorite family EVER. I wish Gomez and Morticia were my parents.
jasminne mcdonald me too lol
I used to wish they were mine too and let me do crazy death stuff to my siblings without killing them.
7:55 Morticia's got some musical talent! Wish we got to see more of that.
Raul Julia was sooo charming and handsome
"Amore twins,I cannot see I'm blinded by such beauty"
He made me blush a lil bit saying that.
Cousin Itt, you old charmer!
I love how there are black Addams family members. Wasn't looking for them, but was SUPER encouraged to see em.
If my family reunions were like this. I wouldn't mind joining them from time to time.
Seems like a blast of a meeting.
I absolutely adore Gomez and Morticias relationship! They are so desperately inlove. Their devotion to each other and their family is unmatched. Nothing will ever break them apart because they know each other so well and know that they are each others, entirely. They would do anything for the other, Gomez and Tish are relationship goals
Cousin Itt going "Wheeeeeeee!!!" at 2:23 is so cute! Lol 😂
1:42 the greatest movie entrance of all time , dont argue with me
Agreeable.

I can hear the song. It's the butchered version tho. Although, I don't think I remember much of this... Not from the top of my head
I love how this movie is PG-13. I can assure you that 99% of the true die hard fans of this movie first watched this much younger than 13.
Haha so true. I was raised w this movie. It came out when I was like… 1. I didn’t even no it’s rating until now! Im guessing it’s pg13 cuz of Gomez & morticia getting it on in half the movie ^o^

Constantly Stressed out no you are not the only one
Hell no
I wanna dance the Mamushka
Have you ever danced the mamushka by the pale moonlight
I love how there’s a snake and his charmer in the orchestra
Little Wednesday is so cute dancing, all into the waltz with her cousin.
It’s funny how Fester (having no memory that he IS Fester seems to instinctively know that dance.) like to this his memory was returning as the movie shows him connecting with the family like crazy
I think once the dance started his muscle memory kicked into overdrive, If he was unable to perform the dance moves it would have solidified him as being a fake, but since his Muscle memory basically took over for the entire dance it proved he's the genuine article way before the reveal.
If you look at Anjelica Huston aka. Morticia's face while dancing, you can see that she's happy and her face is blooming differentlyyyy idk 😭❤
The thing is that you can't tell if it's acting or she's genuinely just happy to dance with him.
"How long has it been since we've waltz?"
"Oh Gomez, hours."
🥺🥺🥺
The Mamushka
R.I.P. Raul Julia you're legendary quote.
Costume Party Goals. ❤
I love how the makeup and design put so much thought into the wardrobe of the extras. You really do believe there is an aesthetic, quality, and unique traits to the extended Addams Clan.
Gomez and Morticia are the ultimate relationship goals
“We danced the Mamushka for Jack the Ripper!”
That explains it. He was an Addams.
Makes sense
I just love the way Gomez kisses her hand when they're waltzing. He just has this boundless amount of admiration for his wife & it's so apparent, from the way he looks at her to all the little gestures. It's beautiful & utterly precious❤️❤️
0:58 That kiss tho everybody needs a Gomez/Morticia in their live
The Mamushka, ha-ha! Taught to us by our Cossack cousins, the Mamushka has been an Addams Family tradition since God knows when. We danced the Mamushka while Nero fiddled...we danced the Mamushka at Waterloo...we danced the Mamushka for Jack the Ripper. And now, Fester Addams- this Mamushka is for you!
I love this scene. Also the Mamushka sounds like it was based on Brahms Hungarian Dances No. 5 but with a more Russian Vibe to it...if that makes sense
As crazy as this may sound I think the point that they aired the Addams family was to show you something left field with the overall basis of family always being there for eachother
I Forgot how Seductive this Movie really is lol.
raul julia is a force of fucking nature in this, amazing performance
It doesn’t get noticed enough, but hot diggity, the costumes in these movies are divine.
This scene was what made me think Gordon was actually Fester. Noone can do something like that without years of practice. They simply don't have the muscle or reflexes. Yet this guy did it damn near perfect with no warning.
I want a relationship like Morticia and Gomez!
Same!
brendantv seriously, they are the perfect couple. By not hating the negatives and downside of life, they enjoy life.

Cousin It is still romantic and in love with his wife to this day...
Friendly reminder that Fester was still balls deep in Amnesia but he danced the Mamushka as if he never left. I fucking love the fact that its all muscle memory regardless after 25 years when he left to go to the Bermuda Triangle
Saw this in the theatre in ‘91 when it first came out & fell in love with it plus the sequel!
I personally liked the sequel better because of how Wednesday and Pugsley were the main characters instead of supporting like in the first one
Cousin It basically rides in the popemobile

The waltz scene give me a lot of chills, haunting waltz pluss amazing dresses and makeup!!
who else loves Lurch's smile at 1:42?
0:16 Lot 666 gentlemen, a chandelier in pieces. Some of you may recall the strange affair of the Phantom of the Opera, a mystery never fully explained. We are told, ladies and gentlemen, that this is the very chandelier that figures in the famous disaster.
"How can I compete, you're twice the woman I am." Oh damn😂😂😂
The interaction between Lurch and Cousin It will never get old, that was one of my favorite parts and of course, The Mamushka Dance with Gomez and Fester. It was only then Fester knew he was right at home the moment the music started playing and it all came back instantly!!
Now this is a family that I can live with!
Anybody's wondering how Fester (or Gordon, then) able to fastly catch up Gomez's moves for Mamushka? I mean, they didn't practice this before, right? Is that means his memory / his body remembers the moves?
