Great video, all meat and potatoes. I hate when they want to give you a whole backstory about how thier uncle Billy Bob bought it from thier second cousin cause thier wife was having a kid and you get my point. I like your style, right to the point.👍
Hi , my centrifugal clutch is the sma eas this but at the rear of mine the springs I think they are seem loose . They are built into the drum so I cant access them . One is like a yellow colour and doesnt move . Does this sound right , the rest make a slight rattle when rotated
I have a 17 model 500 rubicon, and it's very hard to shift gears and I do have a starter issue too. I've never worked on a Honda so could anyone help with that?
Good video. My 2005 trx500 foreman won't shift out of reverse when cold unless you yank up on the foot lever until it's at operating temperature. Then it is fine. Could that be the problem.
I’m getting kinda a clunk/ snap out of mine when it’s cold. Sounds like it’s coming from the centrifugal but haven’t experienced any other symptoms. It goes away once the motor is completely warmed up. Any ideas? I’m thinking possibly could be this bearing? Thanks for any input!
im trying to diagnose a fault with my honda300. The motor runs fine idles and revs perfect. I can select gears fine. but the drive will not go to the gearbox. I cannot kickstart the motor. but with a gear selected i can drive the wheels with the kickstart. Any advice on where to start?
On my 250ex would mine being backwards cause it to jerk and stall when going into gear almost like riding a bike with a clutch but it’s not soposed to need a clutch lol
Would this cause the clutch to slip as well just replaced clutch in honda recon both of them and it does free spin but would it also cause the slipping as well
On my 300 when decelerating there is a grinding noise could it be from a one way bearing? The noise sounds like a bad bearing everything else is fine except when slowing down. Any ideas?
Thanks man! This helped a bunch. The FSM lacks a diagram of this. They explain it, but don’t show it. Quick question though, I replaced the cam chain on my 98 fourtrax 300, put the side cover back on and the kick start seems like it just spins, doesn’t feel like it catches the engine, would a bad one way beating cause that as well?
SolitudeCustoms that’s what I had thought, I’ll just replace it when I pull the engine to rebuild the top end. On a 2wd version I should be able to pull the engine without pulling the rear tires and plastics off, right?
Would this baring cause my 420 to grab to fast and like jump forwards when shifting to first from neutral? I tried to adjust it but couldn’t get it to stop jumping.

I have the same symptoms in a kawasaki bayou 250, now I know which part I should replace, thanks for the video. Have a nice day.
Thank you! This is what I needed to see.
I'M FREAKING OUT MAN!!!!!
Thanks for video. Any thoughts on a 03 TRX250ex not moving once in gear

My clutch is spilling going form 4 to 5 if I adjust it would it fix the problem or do I need a new clutch??
This is the exact thing that mine needs but it also shifts very rough is their something that could be causing that
is it recommended to change the clutch pads whilst doing the one way bearing??
The drum look pretty grooved like mine. When should I replace?
If my 1 way bearing is backwards would it cause my bike not to shift into r,n, 3, 4, 5 ????
Is that the part number for a 1986 trx350?
Do you know if they start squeaking before they go bad
Can this cause a little clunk noise when running?
What year is part number for

I have a 300ex and it won’t start it turns the motor over a little than free spins has a new starter is this what I need to change ?
My foreman when going down a hill it will free spin then clunk the motor catches n the motor revs up is that bearing the cause
How do you know when the one way bearing is bad?
Good video. My 2005 trx500 foreman won't shift out of reverse when cold unless you yank up on the foot lever until it's at operating temperature. Then it is fine. Could that be the problem.
Do you have the choke on at that time when it hard to do?

Lol 2 years late but yes this will be the issue
Will this cause slipping and clunking

projects adjust the clutch pack download a service manual.

No, the Clutch Discs are what causes it to slip. This is just for engine braking.
@@Solitude313 I have a 1985 big red and when I try to kickstart it it won't catch. Could this bearing be the problem?

yes

Is the noise around the drive shaft in the front?
Would this cause the motor not to turn over when kicking it..cant get the kicker to turn the motor, the kicker is in rite
Yes it for sure would.
Can i keep riding it since i dont have money to replace it since cuz of this virus crap
Would the one way baring cause the starter to spin but not turn the bike over?
old post but thats happen to me with my starter was the bearing your issue
And another year later but same thing here!
How much do these cost and where can you get them
Honda Cruiser This was OEM, about $80
how long can you ride with a bad one way bearing ?
For as long as you want. It will spin after you shut it off, won’t slow down while down shifting, and you can’t pull start it.
@@garywilson9533so riding it with a bad one way bearing won’t cause any harm?

Yea, that is another sign of this issue with the Kick Start.

I would think so, plenty of room to move forward.
SolitudeCustoms thanks, I’ll let you know how it turns out

No. Try adjusting the set throttle on the carb
