Really helpful video. I have an 87 Honda Big Red 250ES and need to do one way bearings on both sides. Have you done a one way bearing on the flywheel side?
@@zwhittysgarage I am almost done now with the flywheel side. Waiting for some parts! Thanks again for this video, it’ll come in handy when I do the clutch side bearing.
Hey I have the same problem with the banjo bolt and I looked and ordered two and neither of them were the right size if you can can you send me the link or websites were I could get the right one?
Do you know if the bearings are the same on both sides? I gotta replace both clutch side and flywheel side, but I just wanna know if there’s any difference I know that they are flipped opposite ways but not sure if I could order the same bearings for both sides. Also thanks for the video😀
Btw the reverse lever and little spiny thingy go on the actual engine b4 trying to install case
Yes. Line up the dot on the shaft with the arrow on the case. Then install the clutch fork to the throwout bearing.
Good video. I need to replace the one way on my 250cx fourtrax
Great video thank you
There’s supposed to be a washer on the back side of the kick start most of the time if it don’t get took off carefully it’ll fall down in the motor
Correct.
@@zwhittysgarage so is that what happened or did u get it not saying u did anything wrong I just didn’t see it when u put it back on tho
Yes, I put it back on. I think I put a little grease on it to keep it on the kick starter.
@@zwhittysgarage good deal
Where? Please

I have not. This is the first one that I have changed.

What does that 1st clutch you took off control or work...?? Does it have anything to do with the clutch basket behind it....
I'm not sure. Would 1 of them be forward clutches and the other be reverse clutches?

I think I got mine at a local honda dealer. Partzilla.com is a great resource for finding part numbers for oem parts.
Good video man thanks
My 300 is doing same thing. But also wont start by push starting or electric start what do you think is the issue?
Hey what brand bearing did you go with? I’ve found several non Honda brands that are MUCH cheaper. Thanks!
I'm not sure what brand. It was around $20.
@ZWhitty's Garage okay thanks, I ordered one for about that on Amazon
@@stevenwaggoner635 can you send a link? How is it hold up?
NEVER use RTV we’re it is designed to have a gasket it makes the tolerance to tight
Thanks for the tip. When I did this a couple years I had a hard time finding the correct gasket.

I'm not sure if they are the same. I only replaced the right side.
@@zwhittysgarage okay thanks🙌 I figured out they weren’t and ordered the appropriate ones.
@@pappynotpapi2070 Are the the SAME SEPARATE bearings for ALL year productions??
Nice
My buddy said he was hand tightening the same bolt and it snapped
I think it is pretty common.
