She is the gateway to getting the Adelsons. Is it too late for her to come clean and tell the truth for a reduced sentence? I Would like to see Charlie and his mom locked up for life.

They had her to the wall & knew it & with her conviction based off of Charlies involvement they half way have him prior to trial starting.

Her attorneys did an awful job preparing her for cross examination. Saying 'I don't know' 200 times is very disingenuous.
And the things she "didn't know" were all things that put her back against the wall... She only remembered what was convenient.
Too much crimes: Noone can prepare her to nothing. Shes a Sociopathic histrionic Narcissist.
Her attorney had a hard job.

After one of the worst days in my life, this was a really nice verdict to hear! I’m so happy she didn’t get away with it. She is so guilty.

There is nothing as dramatic as a verdict in a murder trial.
She told so many LIES, thinking she could wash her hands. Now she might “recall” why thousands of dollars walked into her bank acct. And those Boobs just jumped into her chest and, a nice car drove itself into her garage. Maybe 🤔 I do “recall” now. Especially while a good man was murdered because of her greed and involvement!

Believe it... I am in Nigeria and I have been following this case for a long time. Followed the trial from A - Z. I'm so so glad she was found guilty. She was willing to do the crime and evade the time. No no Katie.. doesn't work that way. Murder is one thing I can never ever be lenient towards. I hope she gets the maximum sentence possible. And for burning her bridges with literally everyone in the case, prison won't be a fun place either. RIP Professor Dan Markel ... my condolences to your family (excluding the Adelson's obviously)

I am so happy she was convicted. Her attorney was so unprofessional crying after the verdict like it was so horrible that this murderer was found guilty. It sickened me. She deserves everything she gets.

She was near the rental car agency both nights that they picked up the cars. Called for auto insurance the same time and the same night of the car rental. She was in contact with Charlie, Garcia, and Rivera on the night before and day of the murder. She helped deliver stapled money to Rivera the day after the murder. She was having money injected into her bank account by Charlie or from Charlie. Got a tropical Island vacation paid by Charlie. Got constant presents by Charlie. Got checks by the dental practice like she was a paid employee. She was tape recorded trying to pass Garcia the telephone number in code. She was tape recorded with Charlie talking about how to respond to police and to flee if you have to. She is a bad bad woman. I do enjoy watching her weep for herself. I know that is mean but she is truly only crying for herself. Never a second thought of Dan Markel. Human life was Nothing to her. I wish they would give her the electric chair.

THIS is what justice looks like. Luis Rivera: CONVICTED. Sigfredo Garcia: CONVICTED. Katherine Magbanua: CONVICTED. Next up: Charlie Adelson.
This was a strong prosecution case. Much stronger than the first one. This time, they spent less time on the Adelsons and ,more time on the actual defendant that was on trial. They had the enhanced Dolce Vita video. Magbanua clearly lied in the first trial; but her lies were more believable. This time around, Stevie Wonder coulda seen she was lying. On direct examination, with Tara Kawass basically feeding her the answers, she remembered everything. Then on cross examination, she couldn't remember anything other than her name. Katherine Magbanua is a pathological liar, a narcissist, a user and now a convicted murderer. Hopefully she spends the rest of her worthless life in prison. People say "What about her kids"? Dan Markel can't raise his kids, so why should she be able to raise hers? At least her kids will still be able to see her.

When the jury decides a murder trial in under 1 day, it usually means that the verdict is guilty. You can see the looks on the faces of the defense before the verdict is read.

Just realized how thankful I am that trial 1 did not result in a not guilty instead of hung jury. I guess I am seeing how close she came to getting away with this. Justice for Dan.
The jurors were 10-2 for Guilty in the first trial.
If Rivera and Garcia were not so incompetent, they would have gotten away with this. She should have hired professionals. That's the biggest mistake she made.

What do you mean finally? She has been sitting in prison for over 7 years without being convicted of anything. While the family with all the money and connections is out living it up. How is that a fair legal system. If the state truly believed that the Adelson family was just as involved in this murder they too should have been sitting in prison for the past 7 years waiting to be convicted. This is a perfect case to show a two tier justice system. I am in no way saying she is innocent of anything. Just to be clear but I have a major problem with the fact the DA went after the low hanging fruit. The only one that had no money to try and defend herself is the only one that the state went after. Twice. When she wasn't found guilty the first trial they should have released her with an ankle bracelet. If Charlie, Wendi and Donna can be free. With not even a first trial how is that a fair justice system? She went through the first trial. The jury did their job. But that didn't matter. The government will try, try, try again until they get what they want. But only to the one's that can't really defend themselves. Not the wealthy doctor and his family.

This was a great trial with a magnificent result. Georgia Cappleman and Sarah Dugan did an outstanding job of prosecuting this complex case. And kudos to the Tallahassee Democrat for their excellent coverage of this trial. From jury selection to verdict, they were there. Seeing Katherine Magbanua cry made me laugh with unbridled joy!!!

You wanted "your jury" to show you mercy and feel sympathetic during your testimony? Were you on crack??
What if someone did this to your own son, whom may never see again, without glass inbetween you both? Did you ever stop to at least consider your childrens lives, if not your own and others, before agreeing to a murder-for-hire? apparently not.
I cannot help but think about: 1. A bullet lodged in an innocent and defenseless person's mangled head 2.Prof. Markel's elderly parents having to fight for full-justice, whilst trotting back and forth from courthouse to courthouse in the coming years; this has destroyed them (in their own words). 3. The Multiple groups of children that have/will become parent-less- simply being born into a nightmare.
Tits, tens of thousands, a vehicle, and access to what you perceived as a money tree, outweighed all else. Trick, get back into that prison cell.

I feel the one who has the least chance of being found guilty is Wendy. I think they will protect her, her brother and mother that is. And that means she will keep the children and Dan’s parents might not ever get to see them until they are 18

I’m guessing they met with her before the verdict was read to say it’s likely a guilty & she probably started blaming them. Hence the tension between them. I think the attorneys put so much time into this case it was just feeling bad for themselves. No way they can believe she wasn’t guilty despite all the smiley chit chat the whole trial. I remember this day well. Went to a friends house for a Friday night wine night. Came home, checked Google news and saw the verdict. I watched this in shock. Shocked that the jury actually came through and we got some justice for Dan.

The only question still outstanding for me is: who paid for her upper-tier Miami legal defense (6 years and counting)? There was an in camera discussion about it with with previous judge, so it's certainly on their mind.
I wonder if the threat of withdrawing financial support for your legal counsel would be motivating not to just take a deal? A person with a plea agreement, or looking into one, would still desperately need quality legal counsel.

Wow, didn’t realize Katie Magbuana’s lawyer’s sister was working on the case as well. They look so much like each other. 1:20. That being said, it will trickle down to you soon enough Wendi. She was driving around the crime scene when it happened and she usually doesn’t go in that direction/area. She knew exactly what was happening. Hopefully they can come up with enough evidence to have her indicted.
Thoughts and prayers to the Markel family. I hope Wendi and Donna know they will have to face the truth in this too. The fact that six people made the decision to have no regard for human life...the fight isn't over until they are all in jail.

@@MrsK976 with the evidence present, I don’t think they have enough to prove she was involved. I don’t understand why she offered up that detail of being near the house on the day of the murder. Might be a coincidence because there is literally no reason for her to be near the house. If her being near the house has anything to do with the murder I highly doubt she would have mentioned it to the police.
Great job jurors and all concerned in the case. Now for the real instigators, the Adelsons, be interesting to see if justice is blinded by their millions of dollars worth of legal talent. Charlie next and then especially Wendi, no point jailing the hit-squad and leaving those who ordered it, and the only reason the murder was committed, remain free.
