Had to fix because the other time stamps weren't good
Tenkiu
They weren't time stamps but song lengths
Everybody knows Primus sucks... those time stamps tho... those make me want to jump off a building.
Such a MF’N G. Thanks man! 🤘
These time stamps suck too. An ad in the middle of Mudd? Booo...
One of the best live performances on the internet
Yessir.
One of the best live experiences live
Agreed. Ween in Chicago is up there
It's on DVD
It's even better on the DVD idk why but it just is
This was my first time finally seeing Primus live. Not only was I there, but I'm the one holding up the "Les Claypool For President" sticker they zoom in on at 2:05:40!
Good man, good man LOL
I was there as well. It was my second time seeing Primus though. The guy I was with at that show can be seen a few times during this, but I didn’t make it on the footage. He’s a Big redheaded guy named Tim.
Used to run the Facebook page lol
actually wrote him in on a ballot many many years ago/Obama era i believe, but I wouldn't want this country's calamities upon him ❤
18 years later and this still SLAPS.
My god, Herb's drum solo gives me chills every time.
Two and a half hours of Primus is time well spent.
Tim knows exactly & precisely what he is doing.
have you watched his drum clinjcs? he plays all the songs alone. its trippy. you can tell it's primus.
Correctamundo!
They all know what their doing. It’s magic or some serious luck they got together to make this music for us.
@@thedermo9096 yes. they suck. and we share that suck-ness via interweb
I think they all suck equally
Primus as the most evil jam band on Earth. I can't fathom why we didn't get an album version 😤😭
Tim is a goddamn monster. Powerful and precise
Tops!👍🍻
He's so underrated. One of the best of all time.
When I first got into Primus I realized that I didn't like their stuff after Pork Soda very much, except for the Animals EP, and didn't know why. Later I realized it was Tim. If Tim is in the band they are my favorite band of all time. Desaturated Seven and their new ep are insane as well. He just brings this dark, heavy, stompy energy to the band and everything he touches is gold
@@Dfizzleshizzle1 me pasa lo mismo... Tim es espectacular!!!
@@Dfizzleshizzle1he does play on punchbowl
Fizzle Fry: My favourite Primus album by far.
Tyler Bailey A respectful opinion, although Sailing The Seas is more consistent.
@@theovlach I disagree, if anything Sailing The Seas is one of their more inconsistent records imo. It gets carried by a few tracks, whereas Frizzle Fry is mega consistent
Frizzle Fry is my favorite though Brown Album is close-second for me.
Frizzle Fry
Pork Soda
Sailing seas of cheese
Punch bowl
Brown album
Desaturating seven
Green Naugahyde
@@govs213 haha! antipop didn't even make the list!
I was there! Can't believe that's been 15 years already. Unreal show.
why was everyone so stiff?
@@lesclaypoolonbass9431, probably just in awe of how incredible the band was. I'm pretty sure that I saved a girls life that night lol. I felt something tugging at my foot, I looked down and this poor little chick had been pushed down. Could've been a real bad deal, but she was okay. Just a bit freaked out, I think. I helped her get out of the crowd and got back in there
Sikk. Hey where was this?
Damn Chief, I envy you for being there to see this! This gig and Metallica in Seattle 89 and probably Pearl Jam Unplugged are among the most stunning live performances I would give my left nut to go back in time and see
I saw them on this tour in 04 with my father when they played the Pavilion in Boston..I was only 14 and it was my first concert ever..followed a month or 2 later that summer when my dad took me n my best friend to Ozzfest. Hard to believe this was nearly 18 years ago now...Primus was the only band that night & they played for like 3+ hours in total...Frizzle Fry from front to back plus a bunch of other tracks and an awesome drum & whamola solo. Easily one of the best shows I've ever been to. Hopefully I'll be able to catch them live at least 1 more time before they ultimately hang it up for good.
Les reminds me of Wilko Johnson a lot. A big thankyou to YT because until the last week Primus and Les, especially has passed me by, so it is a real revelation and I am hooked bigtime.
They're so much deeper than being weird and writing the South Park song. This entire concert is a great demonstration of what they can really do
The jam during Groundhog's Day is one of the best pieces of music ever.
U must be a guitar player 🤓
Fuck yes
100% agree
Around an hour and 11mins in. Jheezzusss. Unbelievable
Kinda reminds me of Zeppelin from the 70's, yeah good shit for sure!
Still the best primus show ever.. in my opinion
Absolutely
They played their best album in its entirety, I love it
This one and Woodstock 94 are both my favourites
THE FUCKING BEST EVER! I learned the entire frizzle fry album by ear, and learned by watching less play, no joke, I got my first bass at age 13 and my ritual when I would come home from school was turn on my dads surround sound with frizzle fry in the cd player and play along. Everyday and learn and play, I got this dvd when it came out and I still have it to this day. Also, I saw them on this tour, they came to PORTLAND ME, and it was absolutely incredible! PRIMUS SUCKS! LONG LIVE PRIMUS! 🔥🔥🔥👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Unreal live set. Rolling bass line, gritty guitar, stomping drums...what more can one ask for?
One of the best concerts, ever.
Seriously, how many other rock bands have you seen play music this complex and precise live? These guys are amazingly talented! Primus has been my favorite band for almost 20 years now, still impressive to this day.
Haha I got to see Rush, that was badass
@@edgewatersbestguitarist1524 Yep, Rush is definitely as complex, and I have seen them too. I was supposed to see them twice, but the second show was the day after my wedding reception and we stayed up very late drinking and playing games at the bars connected to the reception hall so I told my husband to go with his best friend. The show was in Seattle and we lived in Portland 3.5 hours away. They had a blast and I got to sleep in.
Not to mention there only a 3 piece band which your seeing alot less nowadays, which makes them all the more kick A$$!!
I'd love to see primus, rush, and tool all in one show.. i know it's certainly not realistic, but would be an amazing show
@@edgewatersbestguitarist1524 Did you see Primus playing Rush on their current tour? I did. I went twice.
I'm just sorry that UA-cam doesn't have a love button.
LMFAO... Luv it
I got a personal “greatest videos ever” playlist that works pretty well
American Life is always a win when it’s on the setlist. During the Seas of Chese tour, when it was played EVERY night of the tour- it was definitely a highlight of the show. Due to its length on the studio recording it really lends itself to be grooved out on various tangents, ultimately allowing it (at least parts) to feel like a different song every time performed. Southbound Pachyderm is another good, which I do enjoy a bit more in general, but American Life in my opinion is PRIMUS’ #1 song as for the ability to really rock out with tentacles of improvisation…… other reviewers may simply call it: “jamming out”, but that’s what I do with peanut butter and raspberry preserves!
As an Australian, American Life is definitely one of my favourites
Everything was powerful in this DVD
It's 1991 and I'm in my 78' VW bus smoking the ganga and rocking out to SOT, probably the best days of my life.
Best performance of Southbound ever.
Same with My Friend Fats. Just an insane performance. Masterpiece.
sardhikhaansi By far!
Masterpiece!!
I've seen Primus 7 times and Les 4 times and every time I'm amazed!! This show is fkn great!! Seeing them again in January with Tool, can't wait!
+Jill Reisinger i agree, but I wasn't impressed with his Chocolate Factory gig
Jilly is that you???
@@DingDangg yea same never really interested me would rather them stay how they been
Never have I seen a better performance of Spegetti.
I think the best one was the one in Atlanta 2010
Dude that is my dream in life is to catch MR.KNOWITALL and spaghetti western live... They got both in one night
@@derekstitt7215 They've been playing Spegetti a lot lately. They have almost every time I've seen them. I've seen them 4 times in the past 8 years. Primus 3D 2012 was probably my favorite show.
@@ShaakTisElectricKoolAid I just saw them on the final campaign tour with Slayer (2019). They played frizzle fry ( title track) and it was wild. Haven't caught a full evening since 2015 fungi tour. I'm hoping for another full evening at some point

@miljoneir you just saved me soooo much time looking for that specific part!!! Lifesaver!!!
I'm so glad I grew up during the primus age.
This is the best Primus has ever sounded IMO.
And I have seen them and Les solo more than i can remember.
Some of the Fancy Band shows were right up there with this though!
The fancy band for sure is bad ass. I seen them in Council Bluffs, and it was at a place called the anchor Inn which is in the middle of the Missouri river. You literally have to drive into Nebraska and then cross the bridge back into Iowa to get to this little island. It is a beautiful venue.
much agreement
This concert on DVD was the shit back in the day!
This and Woodstock '94 are THE Primus shows
This is exactly how Primus shows are in 2022, Primus will always be Primus! The only show of my entire life to literally blow my mind completely, even after the fact with the memories alone. Truly a honor to have seen them finally, it was absolutely surreal.
My go to live Primus set! A fucking Banger the entire set!
I took the times from the description and made a list of starting times for each song (may not be perfect) hope this helps someone looking for just a specific song

very privileged to be at this show, close to the action. rare glimpse of an actual memory through a pro edited filter.
Herb will go down as one of the best
The ginseng drummer!
He’s so slept on
I watched him play Rush's entire, "A Farewell To Kings" album from beginning to end and he nailed it. The man is fucking incredible. He deserves to be at least as synonymous a name with godly rock drumming as Danny Carey
That jam in the middle of Groundhogs Day...Claypool is a genius.
This DVD is so fucking good.
Well, I'm sure that something is fucking good when Sasha Gray tell me so!
Fishout ofWater why would you even say that here on a Primus comment thread?
The Southbound and Pachyderm at this show was spectacular.
My Friend Fats is fucking EPIC in this show. So is The Toys Go Winding Down. I recommend this DVD to everyone I meet. Live music doesn't get much better than this.
I had this DVD for a while and loved regularly watching it. Fell on hard times and sold all my DVD collection for a bit of extra cash. Thank you youtube and the uploader for putting this on here. I love the extended version of American Life and Groundhogs Day. Also, seeing them play Rapscallion live is a treat.
I'm with you 😢. I sold some stuff that is rare as fuck, like Ministry live in 89, on VHS 😢
Holy crap the mixing on the drum solo is so creative! Delay and EQ modulation in tandum! Such a good idea.
One of the main reasons I have been in the PRIMUS clan since the early 90s is they stay true to what they do . They astounding me . Primus don't sound like anyone or any band . And vice versa . Thanks for uploading this . And also thankyou so Much to PRIMUS for youR decades of insanity and craziness . LONG MAY IT CONTINUE . THE WORLD NEEDS PRIMUS 🐮
Definately one of the best renditions of My Friend Fats ever :D
I know what I'm doing for the next 2 hours and thirty minutes. Go out on a friday? psh no stay home and watch these fine gentlemen play
Larry Lalonde is underrated o como se escriba.
nothing underrated bout LER
I was there. Hands down the best Primus show I’ve ever seen, and I’ve been to at least 10. I know, that’s not a huge number, but still......
Dude the first set would have too me too another dimension... Then frizzle fry in it's entirety!!! I would of needed some time to come back to reality lol.
Primus I can only say is almost as great as the original Genesis with Peter... just beyond what anyone else dreamed they could be
Top 3 best bands of all time Primus, Tool, Pantera!!! hands down
+Kenneth Price I got lots more, but these three are up there on my top of the list no doubt:)
YES! but take out tool and put megadeth or anthrax
Um fuck you Alexander Tool rocks
+Alexander Liston I agree take out tool replace with megadeth.Primus was and will be the best to me.It`s all about talent. The only band close to primus was rush.Getty lee can play the bass..But not like les claypool.Primus sounds better live than in the studio,..le loland kinda plays like jimmy page.
+Caylor Mills Tool sucks so love with it..
i own this dvd, and it is solid from start to finish.
I love live shows. And well I found this gem late, but better than never. This three man band is a machine. Well oiled I must add. One of the most amazing shows I've ever seen. And been to a few lol very grateful to say they were one.
Primus Sucks!!!!!?
i just ordered the DVD for 22 euros!! primus sucks !!
This tour was amazing I still can't believe they came to our home our tiny little Park called Harmony in Geneva Minnesota it was one of the most amazing performances I've ever seen in my life 💜please come back 🙏😎
My friend Fats, he's a hell of a guy
ok
Very nice sound quality !!! this is how you can enjoy the show at high volume ! :)
This is the best thing to ever happen to mankind!
I couldn't agree more...
So happy to learn that they’re playing in Copenhagen in September 2022! Never thought I would hear them live again. There’s a God…. He’s called Claypool:)
His band isn't exactly, a side show, great band,,,,take care brother!
Is it ok if I watched this live like 1059 times and I still think it's totally amazing and unique and good sounding and played perfectly (I mean accurate AND alive playing) ?
Me too dude, I've been listening to this shit for the last 10 years...I revisit it every couple of years and am just blown away
+murdock wormwood I saw these guys on this tour when they played in Boston. Went with my dad haha he got me into Primus when I was a kid. Hard to believe that show was 12 years ago now. I was only 14 at the time.. to this day is still one of the best concerts I've been to. It was only Primus no one opened for them or anything, and they played for a solid 3+ hours. Was the first tour they played the whole Frizzle Fry album.
Only 2 out of 3 answered your question & no your palms will get real hairy if viewed too much.
No, no it's not.
My all-time favorite performance by my all-time favorite band
That was a great tour! Saw them in Salt Lake City at Salt Air
Dude this takes me back! My old buddy and I used to play this concert to death smoking mad weed! Les Claypool for President!
I'm the one holding up the "Les Claypool for President" sticker around the start of Spegetti Western.
I now can die happy! What a show!!🍻🤘
Used to watched this back in the day while tripping...converted a friend who was like dude, I don't get primus. But I don't need drugs these days to appreciate good ass music.
Yah this whole set on a big screen trippin is nice. Can only imagine being there live. This my favorite live performance of them hands down.
get Primus?
Surely this is Primus at the peak of their powers. Never better.
I’m still thinking the 93 tour was their best for me still a bit grimy then. 😉❤️

Tim's solo in this is fucking wicked.. so tight and musical its ridiculous
Saw them live for the first time in 1992 and that was my introduction to them also. Gotten to see them to many times to keep count up untill 2016 when they opened for Tool in Atl and they never not once sucked or disappointed ever

Les* stupid auto correct
There's an idea in Platonic Philosophy known as the Forms, and what the Forms are, is the perfect ideal of a certain thing, such that everything in the real world partakes in the Form of whatever it expresses.
Well I think Primus are closest to the Form of the musical ensemble. Genuinely by far the best band that has ever existed. And no band will ever even come close. They are divinely talented.
This was THE tour to see....
Quite possibly the suckiest Primus has ever sucked!!
Kevin Barry took me a long time to realize that saying Primus sucks is actually not a diss. Love it!

Phish, moe., Umphrey's McGee, and String cheese incident are all complex and precise bands, but PRIMUS has something none of them have, which is Les Claypool... and my friend fats.
To word it mildly, this is fuckin amazing.
That jam during American Life, where they're warming into their groove man. Damn. Wish I went to this show!
this shit is still insane.
That’s a lot of people for a primus concert. They also have a big audience when they play at red rocks.
It was supposed to be somewhere, but they moved to the Aragon Ballroom because there was such a demand for tickets.
