Former WWE Wrestler Reveals WWE Secrets

- During my time in WWE, I learned a ton of secrets. In this video, I'm going to share how wrestlers bleed, how wrestlers take chair shots, and how I was able to go through glass without getting a single scratch. Disclaimer, this video is for eduction and entertainment purposes only. Do not try any of this at home.
Thank you, guys, for the privilege of your time! Are there any other WWE secrets you would like me to reveal?
first. I love your channel maven. it is so interesting. Keep up the good work my man
@@derekdumas9160not first sorry.
You’re incredible for giving us all the goods!!
@MavenKHuffman No, THANK YOU, Maven, for entertaining us and telling really good stories. Keep up the great work, and may your channel end the year on a high, and grow exponentially in 2024.
I do wonder since you are kinda giving away backroom "secrets" what do other wrestlers think of you doing these UA-cams? Are you blackballed by "da boys"
Maven EASILY putting out the best behind the curtain wrestling content right now
Abdullah The Butcher was great in youtube videos in the interviews.
100% agree. I think most people were expecting getting color, but working the left side of the body is something I've never noticed, much less thought could be a secret.
Fr
i could see him as a manager or General Manager
Stevie Richard’s stuff is pretty incredible
This guy is an amazing storyteller. He's definitely got the voice and charisma for commentary!
True
Totally agree, his pace natural build up
Avg Wrestler, great UA-camr who would have thought.
@@oasisbeyond no he wasn't a avg wrestler only his career was avg. He was a good agile wrestler with much potential within.

I'm a millennial and grew up on wwf late 90s early 2000s. I respect all you wrestlers. Thanks for all you do.
Same here, those were some of the best years!!!!
Dad had one of those cards to where we got all the satellite channels including pay-per-views. I would go home after work, during highschool, and rewatch the rerun of the pay-per-views. Also I remember using the old VCR to tape raw or SmackDown if I was at work. The late '90s and early 2000s was so entertaining. I would also take my tapes to Grandpa and let him watch Raw since he didn't have cable.
Same. Such a wild era of wrestling!
Yep, people only complain that it is staged. Yet they don't know what it takes to perform what they do.
It's still dangerous as hell. They are like actors that are doing their stunts on their own. But a different multiple minutes or hours of continues stunts, multiple times a week, always a different set...
They have to memorize all the moves and be in the best physical form a human being can be at the same time. It's insane!
all actors
Bro, I've never expected this quality content from a former WWE superstar on UA-cam. This channel is a pro wrestling education and entertainment gem.

@MavenKHuffman I wish more retired wrestlers would start youtube channels.
I've been binging your videos lately as they've rekindled that love for wrestling I used to have as a child. Appreciate these awesome breakdowns Maven.
These folks are truly professional performers, you ain't going on stage without thorough practice. Great video Maven!
Please get this guy more exposure. He’s been the most genuine and makes the most sense of wrestling and what it entails. I’ve been subscribed and watching all his videos since he came back. Keep it up!!!! Thank you, Maven!

Just wanted to express my appreciation with your storytelling and candor. This has been extremely entertaining to me as a life long fan. Thank you!
The glass bit was unintentionally comedy gold. The sudden collapse and long pause killed me

And then when he mutters damn it LOL
are you sure that's unintentional? or was it part of the show, huh? 😆
His honesty is on another level
Hi
I’m watching this after The Rock made Cody bleed 💀💀💀💀
Evans why hi?
good video
I still remember that chair shot to the throat and how brutal it looked. Great work by both you and Undertaker to make it look so good.
I love your channel Maven. You’re a great talker/teacher. That glass breaking in the end was amazing to see
Can’t say it enough love this channel…love how honest you are with your experiences in wwe…..love how you hold accountability for everything unlike some people who try to blame others for there misfortunes and mistakes..this is only the beginning and so pumped up for the ride ahead
Maven should be a backstage interviewer in wwe or take a place in a character like Adam Pierce, he has the charisma, the knowledge and the engagment
I'm not sure wwe would rehire him because even though I like knowing the knowledge he says, I think wwe officials would consider him breaking kfabe by letting us know what really happens
kayfabe has been dead for years @@thorfinn2015
Honestly, I'd love to see him do anything at WWE today. Commentary, backstage interviews, spokesman, anything!!
Bruce was a close friend. I was part of his academy and he taught me many things. He was an absolute legend. One of the best.
I miss him dearly. Rip Bruce.
bruce?
Thankyou Maven, we always loved watching you wrestle, wish you were given the main event spot more. You are the Best ❤
Your narration makes us appreciate what wrestlers goes through even more
Truly masters of the art
Maven you rock brother! Imagine Maven as a manager today in WWE
I wouldn't mind if he hosted a show on The Network
It could be very nice. But first of all is Maven interested ? Then is WWE interested ? If yes-yes, then how are they make his comeback as a manager relevant ? But anything is possible...
@@Droopy95mkDS He could come in as a cocky famous youtuber heel manager after a few more years of yt success.
Mavens acceptance and accountability in his experiences has been phenomenal! Really in depth in the true reality and obstacles he’s faced!
Maven, i love this so much. I dont watch wrestling anymore but one thing i always loved about wrestling was learning how you guys did the maneuvers. Especially cutting and chair shots
I can absolutely see how Maven was a 6th grade school teacher, can you imagine how much the kids loved him and the engaging stories he would tell
5 out of 5 Stars Maven, that was an awesome and educational video. When you were teaching at school, I bet you were the fan-favorite teacher that all the students wanted on new semester schedule day. awesome!
Hahahaha…. I taught 6th grade. And I was such a push over. Those kids could get away with anything from me
Awesome behind the scenes info. Thanks Maven! I enjoyed watching you during your WWE run. You have gained a new follower 🎉
Love your channel it's nice hearing the inside story of the industry especially since you were part of the era I religiously followed the sport. FYI excellent job explaining these topics in all the videos I've seen. Great mic skills keep up the great work
Maven is someone I never really followed during the gold old attitude era, but I am following now. Knowledgable, informative, well spoken and straight to the point content. More of these!
He’s not part of the attitude era at all.
It's not the Attitude era, its the Ruthless Aggression era that Maven was in. Maven wouldn't had a chance to shine in the attitude era since there was a lot of superstars. Maven could have shine in the RA era but WWE did him dirty. I would even call the RA era the Triple H era because it was all about Triple H and no one else.
I agreed, wasn't much of a WWE fan but I'm starting to get back into WWE this year and just seeing these types of videos are really interesting, the behind the scenes of wrestling of what really happens and Maven answering some questions I've always wondered.
*1) How do wrestlers bleed?*
*2) Are chair shots real?*
*3) How do wrestlers go through glass?*
and so much more etc.
This channel made me forgive maven for eliminating Taker.
He literally came in a transition period from Attitude era to RA era. He came after attitude and right before ruthless
Always a good time whenever Maven uploads. The content was already great; but even still, it evolves fluidly from one video to the next. Gotta love it!
That’s what she said
Bots are out of control right now 😂
Its crazy how a wrestler i never really watched because i grew out of it at that point in my life...is my favorite content creator right now....
You are truly a great storyteller good sir. Much love and happiness to you, Maven!
I'm happy as long as you guys are safe when performing those moves. You risk it all by putting your bodies on the line just to entertain us. I got mad respect for pro wrestlers!!🙏🏽
This channel has been producing some of the most entertaining and enjoyable wrestling related content out there. Maven is such a likable guy and the thought to show the candy glass clip at the end was a nice touch, especially with the added blooper before the bump was a surprise bonus.
Great content! Used to be a HUGE WWE fan growing up in the 90’s and early 2000’s and this is really insightful.
You're like Magic's biggest secrets finally revealed... But in wrestling!! Your narrative was everything! New sub ❤
This guy does an amazing job on his channel. I can listen to his stories for hours, they're that entertaining 💯
Maven your channel has been such a breath of fresh air! I got into wrestling not long after your time in WWE, and I’ve gone back to watch a ton of your work. Keep up the good work and positivity, god bless!
Man...when I was in middle school and first started my wwe journey, tough enough was one of the big shows wwe was putting out. I remember watching every week and already being a fan of yours. Being 31 I watched wrestling a lot as a kid during the early 2000s and I remember You very vividly in the wwe. I stumbled across your channel recently and have been hooked ever since! Loved what you’re doing here. I also loved your backstage fight with taker too! Keep it up MAVEN!
Never love to follow you guys, but your commentary has given me the edge to watch WWE now. Thanks
Who woulda thought Maven of all wrestlers would have one the best wrestling related youtube channels around? Awesome content, love it.
Maven, these videos are amazing. With you and Undertaker especially, we seem to be entering a golden period of truly legit-feeling no detectable BS behind the scenes material.
I remember watching that match with you and taker with the chair to the throat. That was a sick looking move you guys pulled off. Probably one of the few times I watched a match and thought "OH MY GOD!!" Great match by you Maven, and probably THE match that I'll always remember you for.
Damn I’m genuinely happy I found your channel 😂 love the content!!
I think in some ways your downfalls have been a positive, as this channel is such a great insight for those not in the know like myself. I don't wish badly on Maven or anyone else but without his tough times he wouldn't be as humble and knowledgeable as he is now.
You’re 100% right!!! I’m a knucklehead, and unfortunately only learn the hard way. But it did lead me to THIS POINT, which is ok.

Love your content maven! To be complete honest I was not a fan growing up and watching your matches that much 😅. Your UA-cam channel and how well spoken you are actually made me a fan! Awesome video!! Very informative!
This was GREAT! Thank you Mr Maven!
You have told the absolute truth. Thank you for sharing this!
This channel has turned into a better, modern version of that old masked wrestler series back in the day. Giving new insights which are fun to see from someone who has watched wrestling for about 4 decades. Future secrets? Maybe similar to the chair on the floor breakdown how some moves are done as safely as possible while looking absolutely devastating to the crowd. Thinking things like V triggers, Toni Storms cheek attack, things where it looks like the persons head is being crushed and they should be concussed but are seemingly fine.
Missing the stunt granny
As for "hip attacks," I actually just saw how they are done, on Dynamite this past Wednesday. When Toni runs into Skye on the outside, she crashes into the guard rail with her shoulders and there's an obvious reaction from her in that moment. Thought maybe this was just because it was an outside spot, but later in the match when she does it back in the ring, she has the exact same form to it. So they're essentially throwing their shoulders into the top turnbuckle, and butt and hips into the middle, then the person taking the move just has to sell properly, so they don't actually take that impact.
@@cjhenline1623 good eye, it's amazing how smoothly it all comes together and looks devastating.

Maven is such a breath of fresh air. He does a few things that others do not do
1. Explains in details from the wrestlers perspective what goes on in the ring
2. Very well spoken without the BS.
3. And my favorite part, he responds to his fans on his UA-cam channel, One of the few that i seen do some interaction with fans on UA-cam.
It really made me wish i was more of a Maven fan when Maven was in the WWE, But i will blame WWE writing and not Maven for that.
This was awesome and informative! Thank you!

This was awesome man!!!!
Fascinating vid, thanks Mav!!
Hey Maven I was wondering when the wrestlers fight outside the ring or when brawls happen in the middle of crowds do they turn it up and have close to real contact or do they continue to work as if they were in the ring? Love what you do and your resurgence! Wishing you more success in this endeavor!
That is a really good question
I agree great question I was wondering the same thing
My guess is if you’re not a plant you’re going to get hurt very badly and the company is going to disavow all knowledge of the incident.
Light contact sometimes they would shoot on each other I know Kurt angel talked about actually hitting Brock lesnar and vice versa so it is possible they do get hit in front of the fans. Just like the ring if the ring was for show with the fans the mat would be harder than when they wrestled
Good question one I always wondered
Between you and Stevie Richards, you two are inspiring young people to get into wrstling by demystifying some of the closely guarded stuff, and doing it in a very classy way! I was juat hitting my teens when i first saw you Maven lol you were one of my favorites to mark out on! Keep doin what you do brother!

Being a wrestling fan for more than 35 years, really broad some attention to your videos (you know the queue in your preferences when you watch UA-cam). Honestly, your videos are too cool and I already knew some of your inputs before, but it’s great to see a guy like you confirming it from a first-person view.
So now here’s my question to you. If you where an active performer right now, where would you sign a contract? AEW or WWE? Where’s the place where the real big boys play nowadays?
And again, thanks for your videos, please keep on going with that, really appreciate it. Send you lots of respect from Switzerland.
I love your contents it's very educational for us 90's grown ups who we're able to watch the attitude era back in the day.. Thanks Maven!
Amazing proffesionalism!!! Maven is a great proffesional that every entertainment company leader/boss would love to have him in his show! Not only in wrestling entertainment, but in every aspect of entertainment, being in a TV show for example, or as a presenter/announcer etc.

@@MavenKHuffman No Problem man. I myself am not a wrestling fan, (I'm just a weirdo who happens to know a lot about wrestling, much to the detriment of myself.) Might I suggest a video topic for the future, fantasy booking wrestlers who appeared in the wrong era. (Example being Ricochet, and Finn Balor who I think would've been killer as the final two to add to the Smackdown 6.
you know.... 20+ yrs ago a vid like this would be VERY Detrimental to the "Business"..... I"m sure over the yrs there are a lot of former guys that have done what Maven is doing here, btw I've never seen any vid about this subject so for me honestly i'm not sure how many ppl have talked about stuff like this, but I see something like this though very informative really shouldn't exist for obvious reasons.... but its 2023/24 and nobody cares anymore about protecting KAFAB so that's THAT.......
Yeah. The world is Evolving however. I can tell you from just experiencing 90s wrestling that us fans gave a crap about nothing except who Austin was gonna Stun, Vince was gonna Fire, Mick foley Shoving Socko down people’s throats, and if anyone smelled what the Rock was cooking. But today’s fans are die hard fans and are also much more brighter and care about the ins and outs of the business. We all knew Kane was a really good guy behind the mask Y’know. Also you want to know about the wrestlers you’re cheering on. This has changed since the Chris situation.
@@melbell700internet certainly helps. There just wasn't the information available now. In the 90s we just saw what we saw on TV or live. Now you can access any information on wrestling you want at the end of our finger tips.
i mean you can literally see Jon Moxley blade himself open multiple times in front of a camera nowadays
the wrestlers themselves doesn't even bother to do this discreetly nowadays, so why would the audience care about Kayfabe either
