@@MycketTuff which is worse Zionism or Catholicism? At least in Zionism all of the Jewish people will be creating a nation for themselves. In Catholicism , I'm the Pope I get an entire Sovereign Nation that's the size of a city with a giant wall around it to protect me from my followers and non followers. Oh and do you one better I will throw stones at the American president who wants to build a border wall but I will do that from behind my border wall

@NP CHE so I take it you're actually the Alpha and Omega and simultaneously completely omnipotent. I mean you would have to be to know that 100% of what Mel Gibson said about Jewish people is right.

T/A Plus Hemi ah yes the good old straw man argument. He said nothing about catholic but you bring them along to defend your fucking point, funny because bill burr will laugh at you here for that. But I’ll amuse, aren’t the Jews “building” (was given to them by countries cause they can’t do shit on their own) their nation in a place that’s already inhabited by others? So fuck off with your straw man argument when both are shitty religions that abuse and manipulate others.

I'm not some Mel Gibson booster, but he was rightfully angry here. He was doing a 5-minute interview for a friggin' morning show. That's just basic PR to sell a movie, not an in-depth discussion about Gibson's life. Bringing up his past issues with three consecutive questions is a total low blow, a douchebag move.
IDK if Dean Richards acted like this on his own free will, or if he was just following orders, but this was a very pointless douchebag move.

    • @scatterthewinds3126

I don't know what it is. Could be an inferiority complex or jealousy that the person they're interviewing is successful as oppose to being a little shit with a show that no one knows about. A while back there was this Toronto show host who had Mike Tyson, IN PERSON, on his show and he asked him to essentially comment on being a convicted rapist. That guy was lucky not to be punched out on the spot and quite frankly it would have been deserved.

Love Mel Gibson. Don't care what anyone says, he is a great actor and a great director. We all say things in private that aren't meant for others to hear. Alcohol changes that in people. I'm not supporting what he said, but when you are drunk and belligerent and want to hurt someone's feelings, you say the most scathing and personal thing possible. We are being deprived of his talent because as a celebrity nothing in his life can be private. Just get the fu@& over it Hollywood.

I've always found Gibson's movies consistently entertaining. Tom Cruise is another A-lister I'll give that accolade to. As weird and fucked up at that guy's private life obviously is, he is a movie star through and through, and that's what I pay my two bits for. Yeah, Gibson's said some pretty despicable stuff, but hell - he acknowledged his mistakes, did his interviews, and he bowed out for a bit. For that passive-aggressive guy to keep firing shots over the bow like that? I'm amazed Mel didn't flip out sooner. I would have. That was a perfectly timed "...asshole" though. Heh heh

This reminds me of the RDJ interview where he was there to hype a movie & then instead of the interviewer just going along with the fluff movie promo, he tries to ask hard hitting personal questions. The thing is that there are a limited amount of journalist that are granted these "juicy" tell all interviews & the person spilling their guts usually gets a HUGE paycheck by doing so & it's also up to the celebrity if they want to do that damage control for their career or not. Gibson no doubt has some issues, along with alcohol as an Achilles's Heel that subverts the judgement of his best interests. He has also, unquestionably, been targeted by powerful elements in Hollywood and the Media; as an artist, however, I judge him by his art,- which is often exceptional. Before you judge him, learn all the facts; he is , if nothing else, an earnest individual, pushed,- pushed HARD ,- to a breaking point.

What a person says when they are shitfaced drunk is not an accurate expression of who the person is while sober. Mel took responsibility for his actions and gave a sincere apology, there really is nothing more that a person can do, verbally. His actions and words from that point on will determine how sincere his apology was.
