i REALLY LOVE and appreciate the way you start off by first explaining with paper how we are going to crochet. sometimes i just want a general idea of what were doing before we do it so it automatically makes sense to me, and you accomplish that perfectly. THANK YOU!!!!
Really beautiful and your teaching style is lovely. You encourage me to take up my knitting needles again after a few yrs where I lost my passion for it. I have so many beautuful projects sitting in boxes unfinished or to get started. Thank You for the inspiration! .🧶
Oh that’s wonderful to hear 😊 Fret not, I have a ton of unfinished ones in boxes too lol. So glad to hear you picked it back up. In making a channel and free patterns, I’ve gotten burnt out many times but I’ve felt like people are still waiting on these designs and videos, so it keeps me coming back too. 🙏🏽❤️😊 so thank you for your inspiration too, all the best in your comeback!
Thank you 🙏🏽 Me too! I’m especially loving this Host Garn lately for my spring and summer projects. You’re welcome, thank you for watching, all the best to you ❤️
What a cute little top. Really, just stick your cute little self in a burlap sack and you'd look gorgeous and so would the sack. Grrrr! I may have to make this sooner then I expected. 💕💕💕
I sis.. greeting from Indonesia. I'm very happy to find this tutorial. Thank you so much for sharing this 🙏🏻🙏🏻. Your tutorial is very clear, step by step, n easy to follow since I am a beginer. I'm in the process of making this top using bamboo catton yarn n will show u soon after finished it 🙏🏻😊😊
Hi. I love all your tutorials. Your explanation is very clear. I have already made a few projects. I have a question about this top.... Is it possible to add a long bell sleeve to this top?
Lovely top, Wan. I never use yarn that is less than a DK (#3) wt. Please can you provide the instructions for creating this top using a DK weight yarn? (I am now using Lion Brand's Truboo, a #3 weight yarn, and love its texture, shine and drape. It is perfect as a "cool" fiber for our very hot humid climate in Florida!) Thanks for your helpful videos.
Thank you 🙏🏽 The difference in weight is pretty far for you on this one. That being said, you can try going down a couple sizes with the pattern if your hook and everything else is the same. You can adjust your hook size or which size you make if you’re a size above or below a #3, but outside of that it becomes something else entirely, so I don’t really recommend it, but that’s just my opinion. I do really enjoy the tru boo and have used it in several of my free patterns on the channel and blog if you’d like to check them out as well.
You’re welcome, the link to the free pattern with all the sizes is in description, you just have to click the little arrow beside the description to see the whole thing.
@@MissKrisLoves thank you for getting back to me on this now does it matter on the material used to make this top or does it have to be light weight material
@@traceypowell859 it'll drape better in a lighter weight yarn. Also will be cooler. If you decide on a heavier weight yarn you'll have to adjust your gauge.
@@MissKrisLoves thank you for getting back to me and k I just wasn't sure but again thank you so much for getting back to me cause I really want to try it unfortunately I can't tag you once I make it etc I'm not on social media and I don't know how to navigate Twitter, Instagram or any other social media groups your work is so so awesome and amazing I love your tutorials
Good to see the gang helping each other out. Thanks Miss Kris 🙏🏽Tracey, I have some video and written tutorials on how to adjust patterns to any size you want as well as videos on how to adjust your gauge. Little bit advanced adjusting your gauge, but if you’re willing to learn, you’re not limited by a pattern or yarn weight anymore.
Hello! I love your tutorials. If I was to use a heavier gauge cotton yarn (8 ply), so you know how to adjust the pattern accordingly? I started off copying you and the top is turning out huge 😂 Thank you!
do you happen to know the lenght of the strap? i'm using a different yarn and i made 30 rows instead of 24 and got 11 inches. (i'm using lion bran-coboo)thank you
Hi, I am currently working on this project and I was just wondering about how many inches each strap is before you sew them together. I’m making my first one now and I’m wondering if my gauge is a little different so I’m not sure if I should do more rows. Didn’t see if you said how many inches they are. :)
I just started this project and I currently have the same problem. The width of the strap looks about right but the length is shorter than it should be.
Thanks for this tutorial ! I'm new to crochet only did small projects until now but I feel like challenging myself with this one ! However I'm not sure to understand you said the pattern is available in different sizes but I don't get it... for an XL the straps stay the same right ? Then I guess it's just how much chains I need for the arm hole and how much chains in between the straps right ? But how do I find how much I need please ? Just simple math I guess but I don't feel like starting it without being 100% sure I'm right 😅
I use 100 cotton..3mm hook..but it looks big..very big...the 47 chains is looking very big in the middle..can I make smaller chains in middle..it's also for small size. I'm using dk cotton..please help😮
Hey, If you are still trying to figure out- here’s a lil tip. I faced the same issue . But then I tried to decrease the stich count by multiple of 6 . For example in this video- she chained 47 in between I made it 35, you could do 41 as well. And for the sides instead of 18 chains I made 12. And then I made 18 rows of sleeves instead of 24. I kept the width same as I wanted the straps to be wider. Hope this helps. Happy crocheting 🦋
Help! The first row of the body part (where it's all chains and you start the shell stitches again) looks so weird. Mine has weird gapping and is all hole-y. Once I get to the next rows its fine but I don't want the neckline to look messy
I was having the same problem. I ended up instead of going through the back loop or the chain like she did in the video. What I did was go through both loops on the top of each chain. Solved it for me
Made this pattern in the same size but the chest width has become more for the person whom Im making...can u plz help me...can I fold it inside while joining or is there other ways...sorry to bother you

No, the shipping and everything is so expensive so she doesn’t ship international. I have found Holst Garn to be an excellent substitute though, they have a website you can order from. Thank you for your interest though, sorry I can’t help more ❤️🙏🏽
If done in white and just a little more body contoured, you would have a gorgeous top for a wedding ensemble (with either an attached or separate skirt or even wide leg palazzo pants for a casual affair). I can see it in white so clearly. Very elegant. Mmm. 🥰
Sounds so elegant and beautiful but it also sounds like I’d have to go to a wedding if I owned one soooo 🤣🤣🤣 Jk, it sounds so beautiful. I think I still have PTSD from my wedding dress, it was such a nightmare to make. It would be perfect though, once again, great eye 😉❤️🙏🏽
