    So bright and
    happy! I'm not a beginner, and have been crocheting for a long time. But even experienced crocheters need a fast, no fuss, no muss project once in awhile! Thank you! I can hardly wait for the cardigan you showed in the thumbnail!

    HEY! I just wanted to let you know that I truly enjoy your site. It kills me, but I have been crocheting for years and have never used the stitch you showed us for this tank top. I so appreciate your patience and your “you can do it” attitude! I hope you never let anyone get you down because so many of us would have to do without a very special person. You are just so sweet and humble. Thanks for the time you put into your site. Susan

      I think we get comfortable with a certain stitch... UA-cam has opened up our insight that patterns we thought were so complicated really aren't. It sure has made it easier teaching my SouthPaw daughter to crochet.

    Sylvia, I love the way you simplify instructions for your viewers to make the top where it will actually fit. I just finished a top in Lion Brand Coboo yarn where I found the shoulders weren't ling enough. I added a strip of this Linen stitch in the front to add length. It saved the day.... I usually wear my open work tops with a camisole top underneath for a little extra coverage.

    I love the tutorial, but I can't get past the first chain because it will either twist or spiral. I've used a bigger hook for the first chain and use a correctsize hook for the rest, but I'm unsure of how to fix it. I'm not used to working with thin yarn either, so it's something I'm still learning. 🙂

    • @CrazyCoolCrochet

      If the first twist of the hook that creates the slip knot is not working for you, just do your normal slip knot and continue with the pattern.

    How do you add length? I understand that you would add rows but I'm a beginner. I want to make a swim coverup. The majority of the ideas I've seen, allow the swimsuit to be seen completely! That is why I want to adjust this.

    • @CrazyCoolCrochet
      @CrazyCoolCrochet  Рік тому +1

      As you said, add more rows to make it longer. However, to turn this into a swimsuit cover up, you should also make it wider. This is, by design, snug. To cover hips make it wider by adding chains to the foundation chain.

    Thanks so much for video! Just been trying it, I'm a beginner and didn't get one bit: to continue making the panel, after we turn, we are doing one side doing a crochet for every gap, and the other side - every 2and one? Is it correct? Thanks !

    • @CrazyCoolCrochet
      @CrazyCoolCrochet  Рік тому +1

      I wanted to reply right away because it sounds like you are working on this right now. Please watch and listen to the video carefully. I have explained and shown the instructions as clearly and simply as possible. For the first row you are entering a single crochet into each chain. Then for the 2nd row you are entering a single crochet in the first space (gap). You make one chain. You then skip the next space (gap). Work a single crochet into the next space. It is much easier to watch and listen to the video. I hope you can work it out.

    This is probably a silly question, but did you really use 3ounces of yarn for size small? That's equivalent to 28.3495 * 3 = 85g. It requires less yarn than I thought, so that'd be a good thing for me :).

      Oh boy. That would require a whole other pattern. You can stop at the underarm and decrease on both sides to create an armhole and then create a neck shaping and shoulders. Or you might continue from the underarm with a straight panel that is smaller by a few inches on each side (sl st to the desired point toward the center and continue the panel for as many inches as you need, then make the straps shorter).
