My ex who I was in a relationship with for 6 months ghosted. Never told me we were breaking up or that she was done, she just woke up one day and blocked me everywhere. Before this she started an argument out of nowhere and did her little pull back when things were going really good, 2 days before she was literally telling me how happy she felt with me. What's even crazier is the same week she ghosted she was immediately spotted on dating apps by a few of my friends.
That one stung and heavily bruised my ego ngl cause I really liked that girl, but I held frame and just blocked her back without ever chasing. I've never once tried establishing contact after seeing I was blocked as I have too much self respect.
These cowards are the worst and they'll be brought to justice eventually. Life has a way of punishing those who treat others unkindly.
Wow! Same with my adventure. She tells me "I love you so much!" then when I confirmed "yeah, I really love you too". bingo that was it. Days later she stated she was bored and didn't know why but I suddenly scared her (when I confronted her.) What a freakin trip!!! I was devastated for months but living the "lonely" life now and loving it!
She may have thought you'd propose or something. I've had girls come on super strong, it can be off-putting, even if she's hot. At certain periods in life, people just get too thirsty.

Been ghosted by about 50 people this year when i think about it.
There's this looking for a friend site where you can write an ad and respond to others. There was for example this musician in my town looking for friends, he said he was lonely, he said "i will accept you as you are" sent him a message asking if he wants to go to play music with me. He read it and ghosted. Like these people are looking for friend there and if you message them they don't respond. I don't understand what the F is wrong with these people. Feels like they are just NPC's behind the screen :D

Find a place to volunteer with retired people. They are seriously the best. I don't volunteer anymore because work schedule but if Fish & Game has plantings or cleanup go to that. You will definitely make friends.

Ghosting is absolutely pathetic! Even that buzz word is stupid!
I remember a “used to be friend” bring up that term to me in 2020. “Have you ever heard of ghosting? I’m just not responding” this was her tactic to the married man she was dating. It’s a form of manipulative punishment, a tactic. She then of coarse, did it to me eventually. And since her I’ve noticed many others doing the same. This tactic is extremely narcissistic as it IS manipulative and sadistic. Let’s call it what it is.
Like you said, I’m a straight shooter as well, and I refuse to deal with people that don’t share that characteristic. Which really narrows down any tangible relationships at all.
I heard that stoicism is a new tread as well, and that it is breading backward like… the silent treatment to be stoic or permissible. Ilittle do they know, they are not well versed in defining what stoicism is. I will walk away from anyone now, as I am perfectly content with my own company, however, it comes with a last ditch effort of blatant communication first. I do not ghost ever anyone.
These people kind of do us a favor by advertising their pathetic and stupid ethics such as driving cyber trucks and wearing masks outside on a walk.
Social programming is real and it displays not only lack of essence, but lack of critical thinking. The wheat & the tarres.

I'm so heartbroken!! We we're together for 7 months he lost his job and I broke up with him because he wasn't communicating or calling me back. Three weeks went by he texted me and we talked and got back together. We had a wonderful weekend and he said he would marry me tomorrow and then he ghosted me!! I haven't heard anything for a month!! I'm not going to contact him. This is his problem and I hope he really misses me!! If he does reach out I just want to know why he did it!!!!??

@@regalchange He was not communicating and calling me after he lost his job. He agreed he was not being good at keeping in touch. He said when he got another job he was going to see if I was still single and come back. Then we got back together.

Employers ghost on me all the time after interviews. Hardly even get a courtesy email these days. I met a girl off tinder not too long ago, and she ghosted me when I texted her 3 or 4 days later in a non-needy way. Yep, it’s been completely normalized in our society.
Ya, employers can ghost you or let you go at any time but it is considered "unprofessional" not to give two weeks notice
