Snowdonia Winter Wild Camp | Carneddau | Ogwen Valley | MSR Access 1

A wintery wild camp below Pen Yr Ole Wen and Carnedd Dafydd in the Carneddau.
The original plan was camp near the summit of Pen Yr Ole Wen, however I decided to camp lower down in Cwm Lloer partly due to a latish start and I could see there was a high wind on the tops as evidenced but the fast moving clouds.
It turned out to be a good decision because the scenery was awesome and a quiet night resulted in my sleeping well.

@@martingregoryphotographyI passed by this lake I think when I myself had camped directly on the summit of pen Yr ole wen. I stupidly went up the direct scramble from ogwen cottage where I should of gone up this way.
