Hi Andrew, it is always nice to see your new videos. What a beatiful beachside wild camp in the MSR Access! Hope all the gear makes your camping more cosy and we are willing to join you as you spend the rest of your life exploring your great country! that's meaningful Andrew.
The tent arrived today didn’t know I bought it if someone I’m subscribed too 😅 I’ll put it to too good use mate all the best! Nice one for the bonus extra pegs and guy lines too 🙌
Ah great stuff, I was just wondering about it too. I hope you have many happy adventures in it. It'll be interesting to see if my new one lives up to the MSR ?! Cheers A
Interested to see what you've imported. I bought the torch and took your advice to keep it turned away😂 Will do me grand when I'm descending before first light 👍
Nice camp, beach camps always come with jumping beasts ! I bet it’s the Durston X mid trekking pole tent you are getting I have been tempted, but honestly on the Cheviots with the wind I have to wonder Cheers Adrian Keep em coming
Nice video Andrew. Those Shrimp things underneath the tent were a bit creepy. I'm looking forward to seeing you first impressions of the Skyscraper. I've had one sat in the shopping cart myself all week. I'm just building up the courage to pull the trigger. 😂
Great Vlog Andrew😍What a great spot mate..I hate those jumping shrimp creatures 😂..Love your videos mate…I call you the Tent Man as your super experienced on tents..Your reviews on tents are quality 😁👌🏻 Cheers Robert
Sand hoppers, urgh! I don't think I've ever seen them anywhere else but Scotland (specifically Ayrshire) - although I'm sure they're everywhere. Great video, as always. Be interesting to see what you've got the US, I'm guessing X-mid, Zpack or a Gossamer Gear DCF?
Thanks for your support Robbie. It's actually just the Astro photography setting on my Pixel phone that does it, it take a long exposure still and then converts that still into a short moving clip too, handy as I'm tech challenged ! Atb A
Those things are called sand fleas, and despite what you might have heard, they do bite on occasion. I live beside the sea, and after a swim last year, noticed some blood on my leg, one of the little critters was in the process of sucking blood from my leg like a tick. Not pleasant. They might only attack in the sea tho, as I walk past them when they're jumping around on the sand all the time and haven't (to my knowledge) had one bite me. I wouldn't have wanted to fall asleep with them in the tent with me either! Great vid!
Thanks, Andrew. As always a great video. Love the torch. 1. I note you often use the levity rucksack. Would you recommend it for long distance multi-day hiking? 2. Would you consider trying the x-mid? I own the 1p x mid and it's a super tent but do wonder how it would do on mountain tops in high winds.
Yes, absolutely for the levity.. up to a reasonable weight limit. Very comfortable pack. Yes like the look of the X mid too for distance stuff. As you say I don't think I'd take it on summit trips though ( if I wanted a sleep ) :-)

Land hoppers, sometimes called lawn prawns, are amphipods in the family Talitridae. Very interesting you had those rascals in your tent!

The MSR Front Range is stellar! You should give it a go! Fly only pitches supper fast and is normally all you need. Cheers.

Hey Chris, glad you got it ok, happy adventures with it ! A
Didn't fancy frying up the killer prawns then? Would have added to the noodles! Did you discover what they were? Looking forward to the next tent!
I dare say it could be the food of the future, but I'll be dead by then :-)

Interesting. Ants are a bit like that in the tropics... get all jumpy when get near them or shine lights.
Btw, meteorite, not comet. 😋
Great video! ✌️
Thanks!
Hi Andrew. Another great video and good reviews on the gear. Not another charger cable forgotten 😢.
Altzheimers ! Or just too much throwing it together at the last moment 🤣

Great film. Those sandflies are minging.
What’s your thoughts on the UV-5R Andrew? I got one this afternoon but haven’t figured it out yet.
Not arf!
