Also well timed as I'm working in a construction trailer and the guest Wi-Fi available to me is on the weak side and due to my particular situation, I don't have access to the stronger signals. I've been told my company will provide a hotspot but it'll be good to have some information going forward. Thank you!
I do DoorDash every day and some areas in my town doesn’t get 5gUW I’m a Verizon customer. My questions is does this hotspot have better internet service than my phone? So I can connected to it and have the best internet service all the time? Or would it be the same since I’m already a version unlimited internet 5g
@@MobileInternetResourceCenter thank you for the reply! I have an iPhone 13 Pro Max but should look into T-Mobile or AT&T hot spots or maybe switch over to see if their internet service is better than Verizon in my town. Again thanks 🙏 you’re the best!
This is ridiculously well timed for me! Have an office client who has Spectrum internet and it's been unreliable lately. Just googled this vs the Orbic to see which I'm going to purchase today so, THANK YOU!!!
Please advise if there is a mechanism for operating these or other any otther hotspot in "bridge" or "IPpassthru" mode so as to avoid double NAT issues when connecting the hotspot's ethernet port to a router.
How this Device get internet from where? Do we have to put the sim card in, if so can we use any sim like t mobile, at&t or this product just for verizon? Because where I live cable internet supper slow.
Battery life generally isn't something RVers and boater pay attention to - as they're usually leaving them plugged in. But that is indeed a difference.
@@MobileInternetResourceCenter i leave mine plugged in and it beeps quite often telling me to unplug it. not sure the overcharging-resistant technology is sufficient. in fact im not sure i saw anything in the quick guide stating it has such technology...

@@pearlrival3124 I work for TCL in the mobile division and am happy to answer your question. This is a battery protection circuit. 1. When connected to charger for 16 hours, charging stops and the device runs on battery power. 2. It continues to use the battery, until level drops to 50% when charging will resume 3. When the battery level reaches 60%, charging stops again. 4. When battery drops to 50%, the charging will start again. 4. Continuing the cycle 50%-60%-50%-60%... until unplugged. This preserves battery life.
@@scottolson1477 I would prefer this to be an option in the ui. Maybe you guys can find a way to throw that in a software update. While it does preserve battery (after 15 hours of overcharging) allowing the user to keep it on at all times is ideal for most scenarios. Mine is unplugged once a day. Thanks for responding. God bless the Google.
I’m a Verizon cell phone customer with a 5G unlimited plan. For occasional RV use and maybe occasional boat use, I’m wondering which solution would be better between a Verizon Hotspot and the Verizon 5G Home Internet box. Neither would be used at home at we are mainly weekend RV/Boat users… more interested in the RV so I can work (Teams meetings, etc) while doing a 1-2 week trip.
Verizon Home Internet doesn't support mobility officially by Terms of Service, and can be difficult to obtain if it's not available at your home address.
Here's our guide tracking our current top pick data plans: www.rvmobileinternet.com/planpicks Verizon offers a 150GB plan for as low as $80/mo. T-Mobile's top plan is 100GB for $50/mo.
I hope this isn’t a dumb question but I currently have the Jetpack 8800L with the grandfathered plan of unlimited for $65 a month. Looking to upgrade device to 5 G….will I still be able to keep my plan?
Here's our guide to the pUDP with tips on keeping your line: www.rvmobileinternet.com/pudp - as mentioned, our members have access to specific info in getting this device for legacy plans in the linked article.
We also have been grandfathered in with the 65$ per month unlimited and had the 8800 and upgraded to the 5g pro and so far we have been disappointed. We did get to keep the old plan but the 8800 I feel is a better deal at the moment because of the antenna ports on the 8800. So far the 5g pro does not broadcast the Wi-Fi signal as the 8800 and from what I understand is that all internet goes through the 4g lte at the moment. We are really thinking of putting the 8800 back in service until things change with 5g. You will have to have some way of boosting the 5g pro signal that won’t break the bank. Hopefully this helps
TCL MW513W he's the only 5G hotspot equipped with the Ethernet port. That is important for anyone who wants to connect any wired network devices or even create a local area network LAN in your camper or house.
I’m still a bit naive. I’ll be traveling in an ambulance and they’ve got a reputation for blocking signals. Without an antenna port, how could I pull a signal into the ambulance?
hi, can this work without battery power, just on usb power?

Depends on your phone - if they are the same modem generation, service should be similar.

That hotspot probably won't get better 5GUW coverage than your iPhone 13. 5GUW is still getting deployed and is not available in all areas.

This is a Verizon specific hotspot, and needs a Verizon hotspot data plan.
another main difference between the top 2 is battery life. 24hrs vs 8 hrs is what i saw on your graphic

Can you use these on T-Mobile?
It is not optimized for use on T-Mobiles network.
Do u think I can use weboost cell booster to improve onto this 5g reception ?
Boosters have only a limited effect on data signals and especially 5G - more in our guide on the topic: www.rvmobileinternet.com/boosters
Will it work with the Visible?
Visible is only authorized to work on some smartphones.

Does the hotspot work in Canada with USA cards? Will it work in Canada with a Canadian SIM card?
That's dependent upon your data plans and their terms. This is a Verizon device however, only available through them.

This wouldn't be the best option for use in a metal vehicle - but placing it in a window can help.
