    Question. I have a LiveU Solo livestream box that is connected to two USB modems. Are any or all of these three plans available as a Sim card that I can place into these modems (these modems were purchased outright with the stream box, they are mine, not part of the monthly internet plan) to replace my current (and expensive) plans? Thanks

    • @MobileInternetResourceCenter
      @MobileInternetResourceCenter  3 роки тому +2

      You should use Verizon's BYOD checker to see if they are compatible for activation. But even if Verizon will not activate a new SIM, you might be able to move the SIM from an already active device.

      I wonder if I can get 2 of the 50Gb plans for $20 each with existing multiple Do More Unlimited phone plans. 100Gb for $40/month?

    • @MobileInternetResourceCenter
      @MobileInternetResourceCenter  3 роки тому

      You get a 50% discount off an add-on line for each line you have on Get More or Do More. So if you have two smartphone lines, you can add two Plus lines for $20 each.

    Interesting. We are currently using a Nomad Internet router that gives us "unlimited" internet on the Verizon network. That's $150 a month. At the time, it was much better than what Verizon was offering. Now I am tempted to switch back.

    • @KU9L
      @KU9L 3 роки тому

      Metering how much we actually would use on N.I. is difficult as the local tower I am pointed at is often overloaded with very limited connectivity. I shun to see how much we'd actually use for both business & personal use if I didn't have to wait ten minute for a text to go through, delay a day to drive to town if the text has an embedded photo or web surfing beyond trying to Google information. When searching for our next camp host opportunity we now include connectivity tests, not just a speed test or if there is any service at all, lol.

    • @curmudgeon3166
      @curmudgeon3166 3 роки тому +1

      Rumor has it, the Nomad internet is just a Visible sim, so you are running at a max of 5Mbps and on a deprioritized network.

    • @KU9L
      @KU9L 3 роки тому

      I am getting 10Mbps speeds on our local tower when it isn't overloaded, but we aren't perfectly line of sight & our RV-65 amp is required to connect solidly. Being in a tourist area there is often no throughput at all except in the middle of the night where we are camp hosting off-grid on solar.

    • @1980Baldeagle
      @1980Baldeagle 3 роки тому +1

      I believe your question wasn't answered and you worded it wrong. The correct answer is that you can boost both signals. The cell hot a spot can be boosted with a cheap 15$ omnidirectional antenna or a directional yagi for 40@ some antenna have dual purpose and have a hookup for the wi-fi router as well to boost your transmission. If I had to get an antenna for vehicle use it would be a externally mounted omnidirectional so it would still work driving down the road. A directional antenna needs to be stationary and pointed at a tower.

    Let me ask, you mention just the cost of the service for using hot spots in rural areas as $ 80 or so for the premiun plan but it is not added to this the extra charges that applies to it so in other words you will be paying like close to $95 to $100 that is quite pricey.

      I wish it was that simple here. The UK is approximately 243,610 sq km, while the US is approximately 9,833,517 sq km, making United States 3,937% larger than United Kingdom. Your entire countries population could fit into one of our states and if you were to superimpose your country over the US, it would barely fill Mississippi, Louisiana, and Arkansas speaking of rough size comparison. The US is huge and thats an understatement. It takes forever for things to happen here.
