The dancing alone was worth the price of admission. Loved it - had to rewind to check it out again. I've only just discovered Monica today and I'm on a Weekender binge!
Such a funny episode with the Oompa Loompa dance and the Snoop Dogg gangsta video stare and nod at 3:41 lol I loved it. I used to be addicted to HGTV but now I don't have cable so THANK YOU LOWES!!!
Haha the dance was awesome. The final result is lovely, but I would paint the blue storage bins grey or white. The blue works like an accent colour in that space and draws the eye. I would want it to fade into the background, while drawing attention to the mudroom area. Great job as always, I'm addicted to this show.
The organization was impressive and the work area for Alex. Even the tall items were hidden behind the curtain smart way of keeping them away from eyesight.
I don't see where they put the Grizzly hybrid table saw, which was a sizable item in the before view. Can't imagine he's still a "wood worker" without the table saw.
Noticed it too. They probably removed it because Lowe’s doesn’t sell grizzly. Worked in video production and that seems like the likely move. They didn’t actually get rid of it just wanted to show off the Lowe’s stuff. Also likely the reason the went with blue storage boxes.
Just found this channel/show and its so helpful! I have a big issue with my garage and I don't know how to fix it. I'm getting ideas on here! But you're also welcome to help me figure out how to convert my unfinished garage into part office part garage 😉
I love the vinyl flooring, but it seems more than _just_ adhesive + vinyl. They have those blue things that smooth out the vinyl (6:45).. are those rentable?
Hello Monica. I’m Wilmer Velasquez. I like your videos. I am already subscribed to this channel "Lowe´s Home Improvement" and I will be watching from now on all the videos.
I love your videos, but the use of vinyl on the floor missed the mark especially for a work area. The vinyl floor wouldn't last 2 weeks in my shop, an epoxy floor covering would have done the job better and be more durable. Everything else looks really nice space could have been utilized better, but that will hopefully evolve over time. In all you have done a really great job with the space that you had to work with. Keep up the good work. Dan
The painting portion of this program shows how not to do it. Protect the concrete before you paint. The adhesive will not stick as well to the paint verse concrete. Paneling, you almost always want to paint vertically especially on paneling. This hides any imperfections in your painting skills. Such as lap marks due to uneven coverage. Use an oil primer before painting. I have had to many bleed troughs not doing that first. Back brush the vertical lines in the paneling. This will fill the voids that an airless can not do. This coming from someone that has been in the industry for almost 30 years. I also have one of the best ratings in the country for home advisor.
Umm, bragging much? Like, I get that you're "super good", but there's no need to act like you're above everybody. We are all equal in that we are all human, so I don't get why you're upset about something that ISN'T EVEN YOUR PROBLEM. Deal with it, Mr Bango.
You are so right. I wish they'd mentioned the need to clean the walls before painting, and putting an oil-based primer on first, to prevent any puckering of the wall board.
Yes, yes, yes. I just painted a garage with that wall covering, and went over the walls multiple times with dry swiffer mops. The dirt that came off was astounding.
Absolutely excellent!!! The only part that this gal does NOT understand = why the dark curtains? Having moved into a home where there were curtains covering shelves at the end of the oversized garage, I see them as annoying (always in the way) & as dust collectors.
Lowe's Home Improvement I appreciate the response. Yes actually. I'm painting my garage. So this video was a great help. Also have a few other projects in the house that need quite a bit of paint. So it should be extremely helpful.
Big mistake on flooring. If theres any time in the future that wear and tear on the vinyl or someone (as in future cleanup to resell house so it may be used as a garage again) cleanup of flooring glue is required. This would be an evil task to make the garage floor somewhat clean again. Epoxy garage floor paint should have been the preference and can easily be touched up and blended back in....Even power washed when they want to raise the door and clean it all out for a "reset". Sorry Monica but thats the facts.....
The Rustoleum epoxy floor kit can't be walked in for 24°. They only had a weekend to get this garage done. The homeowners would have had to put down the epoxy floor before Monica arrived.
i mean, i feel like the homeowners had no intentions of using the garage to park their cars, so i feel like using the vinyl flooring in this glorified mud room/work space worked really well for them. yes, you bring up an excellent point of it being a pain in the butt for the next person, but it seems like these homeowners didn't have resell in mind when they did this project, more or less just for them.
Great episode. I thought it was happening to my garage! ;) Maybe next time. PS: Epoxy is the way to go for garage/workshop. :) Still fantastic makeover.
I do love the makeover and all but the only thing that bothers me the most is how low the curtains are hanged. It would've been better if the curtain was longer and hanged higher. But all in all, I love the results of this makeover.
I hate vinyl. I would have used those click tiles. Or paint, with some flakes. The vinyl is also messed up. On that step, you can see seams, and crooked cuts, you should have used a straight edge to cut it. I mean there's nothing wrong with it, it looks good. But personally, it would bug me if I see it everyday.
Hey John- Vinyl isn't for everyone, but we loved the planked look of this vinyl. The wiggly cut gets covered perfectly with the threshold strip we used, so it was nice and secure (and neat) at the end! :) I'm a big fan of work smarter not harder! :)
Move the workbench, cabinet and white rolling cart up to the back and uhhh... park your car in the garage. The wood storage box need not be so bulky. A stationary wall mount would suffice. P.S. White tool cart? Are you out of your mind? Lowe's sells epoxy. Vinyl is an injustice. Nice cubbies. Amazing bench.
Weird they didn't cover the door knob and electrical sections before painting; maybe its me but they spray painted right over the key entry on door knob oh men. I liked the dance and some of the ideas tho.
Well this is a better job then I can do 😂 I’m speackless I tried fixing my garage(1 of 8 kids) I’m saying we have bikes everywhere and just random stuff for the house
Hate, hate, HATE solid color bins!! Every organizer uses them, but regardless of how you label them, you can never be exactly sure what's in those bins unless you can see into them. You end up not using stuff because you can't see it. It's a subtle/unconscious thing, and it defeats your purpose - easier access based on what you tried to organize.
The dancing alone was worth the price of admission. Loved it - had to rewind to check it out again. I've only just discovered Monica today and I'm on a Weekender binge!

Glad you're enjoying The Weekender. Be sure to subscribe to see new episodes first!
So beautiful!!! I simply love every aspect of it!
Haha the dance was awesome.

so loving the mud room and the curtains....great job and you met the families needs!
That was an epic dance that I wasn't expecting, but honestly I would do the same thing. They look like teletubies.
Teletubbies, Oompa-Loompas, Devo....paint suit may be the next big Halloween costume. Thanks for watching.

So long HGTV. Lowe's is making great content now.
Kay325, thanks for the compliment and for watching! Be sure to subscribe; you'll see all the new projects first!
10:11 hahjajajajgjhaha I love it!
Kay325 I know. I totally love it.
I love the color of the mud room bench. It’s beautiful!
Looks great! That little golden colored chair is adorable!
Monica is such a great host! Netflix: hire her!
This is soooooooo what I need to do with my garage! Great ideas, funny and entertaining; thank you all!
This space looks amazing monica👌👌
The organization was impressive and the work area for Alex. Even the tall items were hidden behind the curtain smart way of keeping them away from eyesight.
keep the amazing transformations comming!
OMG that dance in the painting suits was so fun absolutlely laughed my head off. you should keep that in an intro or best bits video.
So at 4:26 the homeowner has (at least) 2 crates that look great. At 8:39 the designer bought new ones from Lowe's ... -_-
Yup, was wondering about that too.
Hopefully it was on the keep pile.
Loved the garage and your oompah loompah dance was hilarious!🤣😂
Why didn't i watch this episode sooner?! That epic dance break is everything!
That part where the ladies put on the white suits and did that great dance! How fun! Cool space!!
I don't see where they put the Grizzly hybrid table saw, which was a sizable item in the before view. Can't imagine he's still a "wood worker" without the table saw.

Loved this make over!!!
Just in time for the weekend....do we feel a garage upgrade coming on?
Monica on the toy tractor made me laugh so much 😂
I love you Monica. YOUR THE BEST. THE DANCE WAS AWESOME I'M LIKING THIS.
Since I used to live an hour away from Austin, may I make a suggestion for that garage? Air conditioning!! lol
The paint suit montage hahaha love it!
Just found this channel/show and its so helpful! I have a big issue with my garage and I don't know how to fix it. I'm getting ideas on here! But you're also welcome to help me figure out how to convert my unfinished garage into part office part garage 😉

Hi, Lily. Floor rollers can be rented but availability varies so be sure to check in your area. Thanks for watching.
Great ideas for a messy garage! We have all that in a single garage 10 X20 feet. Help!!! Oh yeah, your dance was great!
You are so funny lol I loved your oompa loompa suit and the dance, made laugh out loud, thank you.
The "mudroom" turned out great.
The opening dance intro really made my day.
Ok but where do I get the step by step for that rolling tool cart?
You are AWESOME in those costumes!!!))))
Great stuff. I loved it.
The dance sequence is the best thing ever
This ideas are awesome
Nice garage makeover.
Hello Monica. I’m Wilmer Velasquez. I like your videos. I am already subscribed to this channel "Lowe´s Home Improvement" and I will be watching from now on all the videos.
"So thats why we are always tired". I feel u guys.
Love the dance montage!
Lol good thing they made him that bin to hold his scrap wood from all the off cuts from his table saw that is no longer there.
Awesome garage !😊
I love the white suit "boggy" dance.
Love the mudroom!
I am 8 .... AND I LOVE IT!
Great job👍 👌 👍

Appreciate the feedback, Dan. Thanks for watching!
They might not have been able to do an epoxy floor in the amount of time that they had.
Taylor They could’ve done a polyurea floor in that time but they’d need a professional and Lowe’s doesn’t sell what they’d need.
I'm wondering about water coming in under the garage door. Was a threshold put up? Does the driveway slant into the garage?
Great job!!!
The painting portion of this program shows how not to do it. Protect the concrete before you paint. The adhesive will not stick as well to the paint verse concrete. Susanna Che Mr. Bango was honestly just trying to be helpful. Miss Susanna, you obviously cannot read people well. So YOU DEAL WITH IT!
I agree , I'm not a pro but painting vertically would have given better results.
Susanna Che Woah! Easy there! His tips are actually helpful!
You are so right. I wish they'd mentioned the need to clean the walls before painting, and putting an oil-based primer on first, to prevent any puckering of the wall board.
Love the chalkboard door! Where are the bikes going to go?
Wanting more Lowe's Home Improvement and The Weekender! Don't forget to wash the walls before painting, otherwise paint won't stick.
Yes, yes, yes. I just painted a garage with that wall covering, and went over the walls multiple times with dry swiffer mops. The dirt that came off was astounding.

I love your dance 😄😄😄😄
Great job on the remodel/facelift. What kind of sprayer was used. As I'm looking to do a similar job and the sprayer would make the job easier
We used a Graco TrueCoat 360DS (low.es/2mnR6wZ) and it'll certainly save you some time! Are you painting a garage?
Lowe's Home Improvement I appreciate the response. Yes actually. I'm painting my garage. So this video was a great help. Also have a few other projects in the house that need quite a bit of paint. So it should be extremely helpful.
Awesome. Let us know how it goes!
Lowe's Home Improvement thank you! I most certainly will
is there instructions for the rolling cart station with the peg board?
Wow, we all need a garage makeover, eh? 👍💪👍
Big mistake on flooring. If theres any time in the future that wear and tear on the vinyl or someone (as in future cleanup to resell house so it may be used as a garage again) cleanup of flooring glue is required. This would be an evil task to make the garage floor somewhat clean again. couldnt you just paint the already there cement floor?
Randi Matthews Yes.
Agreed. Epoxy floor paint is pricey 60-70$/gal. But it lasts alot better and is made for hard use and wear and tear.
i mean, i feel like the homeowners had no intentions of using the garage to park their cars, so i feel like using the vinyl flooring in this glorified mud room/work space worked really well for them. yes, you bring up an excellent point of it being a pain in the butt for the next person, but it seems like these homeowners didn't have resell in mind when they did this project, more or less just for them.
Great episode. I thought it was happening to my garage! ;) Maybe next time. PS: Epoxy is the way to go for garage/workshop. :) Still fantastic makeover.
What color paint did you use on the mud room shelving? That's beautiful
Hi Samantha, The shelves were painted using HGTV Home by Sherwin-Williams Aquamarined. You can find it on Lowes.com item number 703094!
OmG I need her for my whole house❤️
Same!
Hope they never have to sell the house...
She's great! Also, I wouldn't mind watching "Matty" work around the house! 8P
Wish all my weekend projects came with a carpenter. This project took more then a weekend or had a lot more people involved.
Eres muy buena diseñadora mencantan tus diseños Woow estupendo maravilloso fantástico
I love it!
The rolling tool cart looks good. Are there blueprints for us to build this item ourselves?

Come do my garage......I love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!
William Stanley
Dear Lowes, my house is all yours.. Could you please come and transform my home!!!!
This garage turned out awesome!!! :)
I do love the makeover and all but the only thing that bothers me the most is how low the curtains are hanged. It would've been better if the curtain was longer and hanged higher. But all in all, I love the results of this makeover.
Will u please make one that shows how to screen in a patio please
where did they put the twin stroller and the little car toy? did you throw them away?
I wish they did a crafts table for the mother. It’s like the kids got something, the husband got what he wanted... But not the mother.
What’s the brand name of the sprayer ? To pain the walls
Gina Padilla graco brand
Great job. A shame, a GARAGE, but you can't use for a car!
More please!!!
Where did the table saw go?!
That floor is going to be a nightmare in the long run.
They make it look so doable.
Where is the rolling craft table with art supply organization?
I hate vinyl. I would have used those click tiles. Or paint, with some flakes.

Must have missed the end before, looks better now.
I still don't like vinyl, or wallpaper.
Some people may, but I don't.
Monica Mangin
Monica's reply gets hidden in the responses, but it's covered with a threshold strip in the end and finished cleanly. Give them some credit.
Where do we park the cars?
I bet it looks better than their living room, LOL. :D
What was the floor called ?
Love it. BUT the paint and chemicals need to be up high or under lock to be kid friendly.
Haha I loved this episode
You could have epoxy'd or stained that floor.
I believe they were limited on time
“Our kids love sports.” The twins are ONE!
Omg Monica! you are too cute with that dance!!! both of you!,
Nice!!!
nice weeken
Move the workbench, cabinet and white rolling cart up to the back and uhhh... park your car in the garage. The wood storage box need not be so bulky. A stationary wall mount would suffice. P.S. I would of put a barn door instead of the curtains
nice!
Weird they didn't cover the door knob and electrical sections before painting; maybe its me but they spray painted right over the key entry on door knob oh men. I liked the dance and some of the ideas tho.
Hermit Tanimoto that's because the knob was going anyway.
What’s in the alcove behind the curtains
Not the Grizzly table saw....
That yellow chair,...... makes me sad to see it in the garage
Well this is a better job then I can do 😂 I’m speackless I tried fixing my garage(1 of 8 kids) I’m saying we have bikes everywhere and just random stuff for the house
Hide all the crap love it!!
Can we get a nb discount code?! Good grief, all the featured shoes make me want a pair! :)
