No it isn't, courts have to deal with the worst scum of humanity and you're just a number. They can't just take people at their word. It's nothing personal, they're not against men, divorce brings out the worst in everyone and they've just had too many scumbags lie to their faces, they need to verify everything with documents and receipts.
@@Sorcerers_Apprentice Bullshit ! A man is entitled to have his kids equally as the mother. No body is more important . What men are forced to go through in family court is disgraceful and is against their human right. No one should have to fight to get it see their kids, they belong to you first and foremost . Without you there could have been no them. Cris rock is a wealthy man and was asked to prove he is a responsible father by some stupid judge who simply wanted to find any reason to deny him or limit his custody and time with his children, simply because divorce is a money grab fir lawyers, women and the state . Who has the kids as sole custodial parents , collects the money from the other and here’s a rich man that they wanna place into their collection system. Simply as that ,they care absolutely nothing about anyone’s kids , children should have access to both parents equally , that isn’t something that should be negotiated . It’s a system of modern day slavery , where your kids can be taken away from you fir little to nothing and your hand cuffed to the state . You don’t comply , you are made into a pseudo criminal . Simply because you got married , had kids and things didn’t work out. In today’s world you get married and have kids at your own risk . Wether he cheats , she cheats the man loses . Unless he has money to spend . He went and bought another house close to the one he knew he was going to loose. Just to get custody of his kids , the average man doesn’t have those means , a divorce will cause him to have to go live with patents or live with room mates . Think about all of that , it’s deeper than you think.
“He writes ‘judge’ on the back Just in case somebody thinks it’s a n***a with a cape”. Chris has always been fucking hilarious. I’ve liked him since the early 90s. I want to say I was only 11 or 12. He had a good guest role in a “king of the hill“ episode that was ahead of its time.
the picture story is true, i remember when my parents got divorced 20+ years ago and i remember my dad taking pictures of our beds and the refrigerator and stuff like that
Having children and getting married is suppose to be a blessing. Its the fallout that are horrific. The disgusting people that hate one another so much that they fight through their children. How sick does a person have to be to take the child you helped create and act as though you're nothing at all is wild to me.
I don't know anything about Chris Rock's divorce, but any time the man gets custody of the kids, there were some VERY serious issues with the mom. Good for Rock getting out of what had to be a hell.
As someone who worked in child protective services, his description of ordeal is very accurate and sometimes even worse. There’s no reason for the default assumption that the mother is the better parent, but we have been culturally conditioned to believe that.
@Chalky White Use your head yourself, maybe then you'd remember not everyone is American and versed in United states building regulations for divorce courts. People ask questions because the don't know the answer, either be helpful or shut the fuck up
@Chalky White Try typing in "When did the US finally start using metal detectors and why" and see what comes up. Because if you did, you would know that absolutely nothing relevant comes up. I know that because I tried. But of course you didn't bother to check and called me lazy, you wanted an excuse to insult someone and have a pointless argument. If relying on helpful individuals who know exactly what I'm asking rather than an algorithm that just spews Wikipedia pages at you with thousands of pages of irreverent data... then yeah I guess I'm "lazy". But I would rather be a a bit lazy, than someone who works really really REALLY hard to be a dick. Have a nice life, best of luck to you the next time you ask for someone else's assistance. Don't bother replying I won't waste more time on a troll
Chris Rock, as influential as he is, was legitimately scared he wouldnt be able to see his kids in case the court ruled in his ex's favour. No one laughed at it when he said that, because everyone could tell how serious he was. The same biases a black man faces in court are close to the same biases that any man faces in custody court. Good for him to turn a hard situation into a joke :)
Thank God my parents didn't do this to me. Heck, they didn't fight when they were married let alone when they got divorced, but they both loved me so much that they never would have upset me by fighting or telling me to hate the other person.
It's because our family courts (and really courts in general these days) are heavily biased towards women unfortunately. Because of feminism (of which the first and even second waves actually made meaningful progress towards equality, which the third wave has ruined and continues to ruin) courts have come to favor women in almost any affair. I have heard horror stories of men who have lost their children or worse. I think the worst one I heard was that a man who was a good father who adored his children, with an evil wife who did not. She initiated the divorce, and he got screwed out of his children and most of his possessions after his wife made a claim of SA and the "R word" that rhymes with grape. He lost most of his money, and was barred from meeting his children and still had to pay child support that he couldn't afford since nobody wanted to work with him after his subsequent firing following the case. He eventually met up with his daughter after she had turned 18 and left her wench of a mother, but the damage had been done and he suffered from severe depression. He killed himself not one year later out of sadness that even his daughter couldn't save him from. It's pretty horrible. It's part of why I don't want to marry. From what I understand the problem plagues Western Europe too.
Flavor Flav made me chicken wings in a restaurant he had a stake in. It was after hours. We had finished up at the studio doing voice-over. He wanted to know if I was hungry. Yeah. I'll make you some wings. We went to his restaurant. He made wings in a chef hat. He was genuinely concerned if they were good. Nothing crazy happened. It's just surreal to watch one of the people you admired on MTV as a kid cooking you dinner.

Complete and absurd nonsense ain’t it ; and they wonder why people riot and burn things down when they see clear injustices in the system that’s supposed to serve them !
Drake helped me with my homework 💀
Chris is a legend on the stage 🍻
The humiliation men have to go through. Did the ex-wife have to prove anything even remotely close
no!
except for leeching his money!
I bet Chris would pay for her lawyer as well!
@@faintsherin4468 As a matter of fact he did... He also talks about it in the special... He paid for his and her lawyers
@Winner Winner talk about privilege...... its fucking secreting into your comment.
@Winner Winner What does being black have to do with his question? Am also black and your answer makes no sense. No one asked her to make any sacrifice. She used the kids as her meal ticket for life. Women use marriage and kids as security. Most don't care about either.
@Winner Winner I suppose his money had nothing to do with it if she did not want them then I would back your argument who is paying for them this me being nice
“Receipts of Love”. I just fell back in love with Chris Rock. At first, I thought he was Brooklyn 2020, but after this bit, I caught a glimpse of Brooklyn 1995 still inside somewhere.
He probably has to be because he’s afraid he’ll lose his kids if he speaks too much truth. Thank God for Dave Chapelle and Bill Burr.
Maaan, that American system is batshit stupid.
No it isn't, courts have to deal with the worst scum of humanity and you're just a number. They can't just take people at their word. It's nothing personal, they're not against men, divorce brings out the worst in everyone and they've just had too many scumbags lie to their faces, they need to verify everything with documents and receipts.
@@Sorcerers_Apprentice if a court can't do justice, what is the point of having the court in the first place?
@@snarkylive well turn out false...as in America as Long you have money.... Everything goes under the table..
@@Neogenesisdiablo the judges just need to be specific.
"receipts of love" damn
The Chris Rock test for fatherhood was something else altogether a while ago.
The test of a father is to keep your son off the (crack)pipe and your daughter off the (stripper)pole.
Chris ROCKS!
These jokes slap harder the second time.
“He writes ‘judge’ on the back Just in case somebody thinks it’s a n***a with a cape”.
Chris has always been fucking hilarious. I’ve liked him since the early 90s. I want to say I was only 11 or 12. He had a good guest role in a “king of the hill“ episode that was ahead of its time.
the picture story is true, i remember when my parents got divorced 20+ years ago and i remember my dad taking pictures of our beds and the refrigerator and stuff like that
"Y'all think I'm bullshittin'" 🤣🤣🤣
Having children and getting married is suppose to be a blessing. Its the fallout that are horrific. The disgusting people that hate one another so much that they fight through their children. How sick does a person have to be to take the child you helped create and act as though you're nothing at all is wild to me.
I don't know anything about Chris Rock's divorce, but any time the man gets custody of the kids, there were some VERY serious issues with the mom. Good for Rock getting out of what had to be a hell.
For the sake of the kids, learn to get along with your ex wife. Don’t force your kids to choose, they love both of you! ❤
Absolutely. At the end of the day, the best you can do to your ability is to be there for your kids
"im Chris Rock, not Chris Brown"
god bless this man! 🤣🤣🤣
“I’m Chris Rock not Chris Brown” 😂😭
The bed and fridge questions are real. They make you show them that when applying to adopt too. Ridiculous
You can tell the custody battle took its toll on him. I swear I'm never getting married or having kids.
Good call
I love the "y'all think I'm bullshittin" reveal.
Maybe skip Drake if you have daughters 😃😬

I love this special. Came out years ago and still hilarious AF.
The divorce destroys him he looks much older and very tired, I know his jokes are good, but this is very sad, I am happy that he can see his children
Chris R is like fuel cause the man has always been loud mouth and funny for yrs. a great comedian.
As someone who worked in child protective services, his description of ordeal is very accurate and sometimes even worse. There’s no reason for the default assumption that the mother is the better parent, but we have been culturally conditioned to believe that.
“Receipts of love” lol hahaha
Chris Rock sounds damn near the same as he did 20 years ago that's amazing
"You never know when you're gonna need receipts for love."
Divorce courts are why America now has metal detectors. Happy, for you Chris.
why?

Spike Lee in the audience at 2:16 trying to hide. Lol
CPS is stealing everybody’s kids with their illegal kangaroo courts.

Ok "Receipts of Love"? That's shit is genius. Mr Rock still rocking.
one court you would like to be on is the tennis court!
Thank God my parents didn't do this to me. Heck, they didn't fight when they were married let alone when they got divorced, but they both loved me so much that they never would have upset me by fighting or telling me to hate the other person.
As a Swede, this sounds like the absolute bottom of American society.
To set up a system like this is awful.
Homeboy, your system is similar.
"Yall think im bullshittin" 😂😂
Flavor Flav made me chicken wings in a restaurant he had a stake in. It was after hours. We had finished up at the studio doing voice-over. He wanted to know if I was hungry. Yeah. I'll make you some wings. We went to his restaurant. He made wings in a chef hat. He was genuinely concerned if they were good.
Nothing crazy happened. It's just surreal to watch one of the people you admired on MTV as a kid cooking you dinner.
Did he wear a clock as a chain too?
