Started looking for a a fixed EDC blade in scout carry awhile ago and this little sticker from Kizer caught my eye. Had a chance to pick one up recently and right away I was impressed with it’s hair popping edge, right outta the box. I love the “harpoon” shape of the blade for utility and if needed, personal defence. Still trying to zero in on exactly where to attach the sheath on my belt. At this point, being right handed I am happiest with having it sitting in front, on my right hip.
I am close to 6 feet tall, and the Harpoon Silver fits my hand very well. Gotta thank myself for being thin, so even larger hands are no obstacle for knives like this. I love this little bugger!
My Harpoon Silver doesn't wiggle at all, and my belt loops also hold on really tight. Maybe you stretched the loops/straps too much? Got mine in D2 though, but I doubt that makes a difference in sheath and belt loops. Very nice and very well made knife! And not overpriced at all!
Very Nice! I'll definitely have to grab one. I actually seen it when looking to buy the BK-18 a while back. Almost forgot about this one. Good Stuff 🍻🔪🇺🇲🗡
Pretty awesome. Don't think I'd use it as a field knife but more of an edc/hiking deal. I really dig the looks, although I prefer a different color scales. The ones on it I find kinda ugly. I also prefer bare steel but understand the necessity for coating especially on the 1095. Although I live in one of the most arid places in the country so rust isn't a huge concern for me. I want to carry a fixed blade edc more but have yet to find the "perfect" for me. The are always either too big, too small, handel is too big (I have medium size hands so I prefer a 3 finger grip and a lanyard for ease of carry) have the stupid (imo) skeletonized no scale thing that I hate and find useless or have a crap sheath. And I don't feel like spending another 50-100 having a custom sheath made when I am looking for something under 100$ in the first place.
Replace those cheap straps with HolsterSmith pull the dot straps - they don't come unfastened accidentally, the strap material is much higher quality too.
Both are good but the Harpoon carries a bit better and now has D2 steel I think the initial run was 1095. The only issue is the Harpoon can be hard to find

Doesn.t this have d2 steel?

In the end - Harpoon or QSP?
So which should I get for an EDC : Kizer Harpoon or Manly Patriot? Or which one do You prefer?

@@Kevinclearysharpstuff thx
@@Kevinclearysharpstuffdo you prefer the d2 or 1095?
Is it 1095 or D2
The first ones were 1095 but they have done subsequent runs in D2
@@Kevinclearysharpstuff ah ok which steel is better
An acid wash instead of a powder coat would have been very cool 😔
Just bought one for 47$
I'd love to have it. Too bad it's made in China...
iphone made in china too
@@ayubjamil2615 iPhones suck too.
I bet the quality is the same as US knives. At the end of the day the type of steel is what matters and they use the same as any American company.
