Directions were perfect! Fixed the turn signal / hazard light problem for less than $21 (clearance on the switch). Thanks for showing the part number which made ordering the part from Rock Auto easy. Time it took from noticing the problem to fixing the problem was 4 days. I used the cheapest delivery method.
I didn't know there was a recall on the blinker switch
Thank you this help. My hazard button was stuck and I did not know how to take the panel off I figured it out from there
Love this car!!!
I had bought the blinker switch but never put it in as well as the fog light
Man thank you so much. Awesome
I believe there was some kind of amplifying system in the vehicle before I got it. Take a look at the small speakers on both of the doors they are black I had to disconnect the one on the passenger door because it was making a high-pitch scratching noise at one point but both of them are disconnected
The turn signals with only stop working whenever it would rain
I thought this was a video about the blinks/flashers?
Would this fix it if it’s clicking too fast on both the left and right hand side and the lights stay on? Mines an o4 Pontiac grand am
The small black speakers are on the inside of the doors by the windows where the side mirrors would be
I just bought a Grand Am, and the turn signal switch is bad. My dad replaced it in his 3 times. Its very common in grand ams for them to wear out
The only time the blinkers didn't work was when it rained LOL
My '96 emergency switch is located on top of the steering column and is a toggle type switch.
I wondered what that button was for too LOL
Hi friend, could you share me your exterior lamps diagram please?
Appreciate the video. I replaced my switch, and the blinkers work, but now they're always hyperflashing. Hazards flash normally. Any ideas?
I made a video after this one where I took the turn signal switch apart and cleaned the contacts inside of it. Regreased them and never had that issue again. Also, make sure all the bulbs are working as they should. One could be out causing the hyperflash.
You found the trick that I've used lol
Sometimes if you press the hazards half way, but not click. Itll work as well.
Hope you find a fix. Gonna finish the video
But mines makes a annoying hazard click sound non stop sometimes
I made a video on that too! I cleaned the contacts in the turn signal switch and the constant clicking stopped
@@MichaelAdamsRocks did the switch box change fix that problem or just the signals not working?
What if the hazards dont work either
Then it’s either the hazard switch or there’s a further electrical issue that needs traced.
Your key fob should have a car lock button and when depressed the Alarm/theft lock activates and unlock deactivates. My 1996 Grand AM GT and wanted a Alarm and that's what My car has. Your factory installed radio should have a theft lock flasher light too.
The lady who sold me the car didn’t have the remotes unfortunately. I do have the TheftLock though
That car looks nice. My 2004 grandam looks like shit lol 200k miles
That little button you don't know where or what it is, is the cars ALARM SYSTEM
It was aftermarket and not even hooked up. I got rid of it.
My turn signal when it rains too
Good thing I didn't wreck my car and the airbag probably wouldn't work LOL
Hazard switch "requires" blinker light fluid...lol
I'm a woman and I'm going to try to do this myself and save the $50
>:(
