I love how you can see the incremental changes in the shaft perfectly with Matty's numbers. I'm sure Fujikura will be more than pleased with this test as it shows off the exact differences they were after in these shafts. Don't apologize for nerdy!!!! That's why most of us are here.

Got my first fitting today, because of following your channel. Was fitted for the ventus blue, and mavrik sub zero! Cant wait for the build completion! Most educational and informative golf channel by far. Fascinating to see the interplay between shaft and head options and impact on results. Bottom line, always get fit for clubs.
I've used the Blue since it came out. I have a high swing speed and even then it holds up to the test. It does indeed resist twisting. Such a great shaft that kicks consistently. I really want try the black out.
Was fitted today and the best setup for me was the TM Sim 9 degree with the Fujikura Ventus Blue w/ Velocore Stiff, literally cant wait till shows up, the color combinations with everything blue is going to be killer being that blue is my favorite color just like Ian! You guys rock, keep it up!
Watching Matt hit a shot 347 yards and not even "trying" makes me want to hate the guy, but these two are just so likeable. Just ordered my Ventus blue with Velocore so I can be like Matt. Thank you guys for the content!!

I play the Blue 7x in my Callaway Epic Flash SZ Triple Diamond. So Stable and feels amazing! Best shaft I have ever used. I’ve always used aftermarket shafts (tinkerer) and have finally found a winner! Great content guys!

Great job gentlemen! Love this stuff and this channel. You said nerdy, well, I am a golf nerd, lol. I upgraded from the 65g Evenflow shaft on my Rogue to the 65g Tensei shaft and my strike immediately improved in one swing...I was warmed up already so it was a good test. Thanks for your professional tests and fittings. Sure wish I could get to Canada and get fit by you...it's on my bucket list!

I’m glad you guys did a video on this I have been interested in this shaft as soon as it came out my problem is I lm not 100 percent sure which one to get.
Revisited this one after watching the bracket finish with Mavrik + Ventus BLK. This shaft is just an absolute BEAST for Matty

Matt’s swing and transition are ridiculously good! Love watching him swing! Gotta say though, I personally didn’t like how much the ball curved with the black. Felt he hit the red and blue better

Picked my blue up last week and paired it with my EPIC flash SZ and added 20 yards. Literally smashing it over 300 and 75% FIR. I can shape the ball off the tee much better. Worth the 💰

PERFECT example of what can be achieved with different shaft profiles and further affirmation on the benefits of fitting. Can't remember seeing such a clear (linear) response before, wonder if the construction of the Ventus contributed to this???

Great video. I thought Matt's optimum spin was in the 2,200 range for dispersion reasons based on on prior fittings. I know that wasn't the point of the fitting, but it would be interesting to hear Ian's thoughts on the matter.
Hey, you guys should repeat this Ventus trial but with fairway woods.... I'd be very interested in seeing if the red becomes more of an option for ole Matty!

A 7x Red that’s been tipped peaks my interest. Don’t know why but “higher launch” shafts in a higher weight have worked well the last few year for me.
Just a thought, I think the sound difference might be the stiffer shaft does not absorb the energy like a softer shaft would. So the energy stays in the head, for a faster swinger it would make since. A slower swinger would need the energy "rebound" from the softer shaft kick. I may be way off but that makes since in my head. Great video and interesting results.

Interesting clip. I’m currently playing a 60 Aldila 110 msi x flex in my driver but have always struggled with feeling where it is in my swing. I play a Callaway Rogue driver. Would you recommend the Ventus shafts? Scotland is pretty poor for true fitting experiences with aftermarket options so would appreciate your help.

The Fujikura Folds of Honor shaft fits me so well, but are difficult to find in the aftermarket. What are some similar shaft options to keep a lookout for?

Just caught up on this video, I’m playing a Ventus red in TM SIM with a swing speed of 98-100 mph and it feels great
I'm around that swing speed too and looking to buy the Sim Max. Did you try the blue or black Ventus? If so, what were the differences that made you choose the red one?
I tested the blue Ventus and found the red gave me a slightly higher trajectory in flight,which is what I was looking for.Hope this helps

For what it's worth ..I just started using a ventus red 5R..I'm 70yo and loving this shaft..worth every penny..The consistency is amazing.

I've had the blue in my Callaway driver most of the year. I'd be interested in the black as well as seeing what it does in a fairway wood.
next fall im going to go to a fitter and see what ventus i can put in my 3 wood. i have black 7s in driver.

Hey guys, would you do a video showing the ventus range being hit with regular, stiff and x stiff flex to show the differences in swing, ball flight etc with flex being the only changing variable? cheers @TXG

I'm hitting the the Ventura blue in my 3 wood and hybrid Taylor made 2 sim do you suggest keeping the same shaft and buying a driver? I love the 3 wood shaft feels well waited. .thanks

Ian, you mentioned that from the UST tests the mid section produces the most energy, so would that be a stiffer mid produces more than a softer mid?

Bought custom Cobra SZ with ventus blue velocore. Doesn't seem compatible with big head. Took the full length ventus blue shaft and put it in my TaylorMade mini driver. Absolutely outstanding performance in all categories. Shocking how perfect they are together. You can feel the shaft working all the way through impact with a nice wip giving awesome controlled distance.

Which Ventus Velacore shaft would be best for around 110 - 115 mph club head speed? I see the ones he’s hitting with 125mph speed but wondering what the difference between the blue red or black would fit my swing best?

If I drop to 6x, how can I maintain the same swing weight and what differences (on average) aside from increase speed and ball speed can possibly occur? I swing on average 113-115 mph ball speed 168-172 mph spin rate 2200-2400 rpms. Thanks

How much were all these shafts tipped? I’ve always wondered how much tipping Matt probably needs at 125+ ss
Hi Ian, one question. I’m always baffled as to why Matt’s efficiency is only 1.42 when he is hitting it dead center (5:05). Is that a GC issue? The smash factor seems to be very low for such good strikes.
Say I got the Ventus red standard shaft. It launches too high with too much spin. Could I tip it an inch and it would play more like blue?
If Matt were to put one of those shafts in his bag, what would you put him with. The black certainly went further, but the blue seemed to have a tighter dispersion?

I have a swing speed of about 80 to 85 mph. I got the blue shaft with my sim's. Are these shafts strong enough for me?
Would you guys please do a comparison between Ventus velocore Blue/red vs HZRDUS RDX Blue/Black?! I’m stuck between Ventus or HZRDUS RDX, the only stock shaft available is the RDX black but I’m not sure that’s the shaft I really should be looking at. Currently using a older M3 with a project x red handcrafted 6.0 62G 3.2 Mid spin shaft. In terms of weight it feels about right but it just feels slightly dead, not to stiff or to bendy but it just doesn’t load quite right. I don’t know what the bend profile is in my current shaft but I would really like to feel a little more load in the Middle/Tip to really get a good feeling for where the club head is. Swing speed is between 100-105 depending on the day, I prefer stiffer iron shafts, gaming DG 120 S300. I would really like something with a hint more flex in the tip/middle for my driver just to get that extra load and feel for timing Etc... any idea which direction I should aim?

How much were these shafts tipped for Matt to swing them? With him playing TX flexes when they are offered I'm guessing 0.5-1" of tipping as this is an X flex?

Its sucks you never re-visited the ts4, I got fitted into one and absolutely love it. I think it would fit Matt really well if you guys played around with shafts a little

Beau Hossler is hitting Ventus Red, but he never did play a super stiff driver shaft. He gamed speeder evo 1 in the non tour spec design before this change.
I saw the video for the Ventus Blue. My swing speed and between 90-95mph. Woild this shaft benefit my speed?
Stiffer and especially higher modulus materials transmit vibrations better. A softer shaft (in regards to material, not necessarily flex) will dampen the noise more.

likely yes, the red was probably a bit on the soft side at that speed

Very interested to see if you guys could do a review specifically with a 2 iron like a" u500" or "p790" (with graphite shaft) compared to a more forgiving long iron that is bent to 17/18 degrees of loft. I was thinking of like a "ap3" or "apex19iron" . I think this video would be perfect for Matt !!! Lol.
Thomas Riley one of the things to consider when de- lofting is that you are also reducing bounce. Effectively making said forgiving head a little less so.
Is the Project X Evenflow White T1100 X-Stiff(6.5) comparible to the Ventus X-Stiff? Great video guys!
