    Id like to add no matter who you are the more overweight you are the easier it is to lose weight in the beginning from taking in less calories after a while your body gets use to it and you start to lose less...I know if I stuck with this I would continue to lose weight but it wont be 6lbs every week eventually it would be 5 then 4 and so on until it was a lb or so each week...but well see I do plan to try it again to see if its consistent both in quality and with the weight loss...

    My young brother - I hope you are not too consumed with focusing on the wrong thing, as if your weight determines your value as a man. I have watched your vids for many years now. Your weight is so insignificant to your power to influence young viewers, as well as old, (I am 62). You have the mass-media power to change lives and outlooks. And you do. You are a positive role model for so many. Kind, thoughtful, interesting, and analytical. It's great to fight to be more healthy, keep going. But heavy or skinny, your weight does not define you. I would give anything to have a man like you as a son or spouse for one of my girls. Take on the battle, but win or lose, you are one of the best we have.

    Just a tip for the chicken and waffles, if you don't want to use syrup but still want to add some moisture just squirt some hot sauce on there. Chicken and waffles is typically served with syrup and hot sauce anyways and hot sauce has little to no calories at all. I also know you love it based on your videos!

    c'mon, safe your money and eat better than this. no special diet needed. avoid pop at all cost and count your calorie intake (various apps available). stay under 2000/day and you'll be surprised how simple that is.

      You can drink diet soda. All it has in it is salt and a few calories. Its still not good for you but it won't screw up your diet.

    • @GarouLady
      @GarouLady 6 років тому +5

      Diet soda is worse for you. It tricks your body into thinking its sugar and you start getting sugar cravings. My doc told me to stay away from ALL pops.

    • @pac6010
      @pac6010 6 років тому +1

      Yeah I guess....it seems to always come back to the mental discipline side of things in the end. Your bodies not really making you do anything. You're a homo sapien, one of the most evolved life forms in existence (that we know of).
      You have total control over everything that you choose to ingest. You can starve yourself to death in a room full of food if you wanted too. But drinking diet pop is gonna make you eat garbage food ? I don't buy it. And I happen to like diet pop so I'm gonna choose not to believe that lol.

      limodrivermike Drink water before eating it will make you feel full and chew slow it takes 15 minutes for the brain to register that your full, that's why in Europe they take hour's off for lunch because they take a while to eat, vs the U.S. an hour brake for lunch so people try to speed eat

    Hey Jeff just as a thought and advise. The most important thing to loose weight is sugar intake and portion size. You need to cut sugar out completely and lower portion size. I lost a lot of weight from doing that alone. Good luck.

    That green chili sauce reminded me of what happened to me last week. I was at this Mexican place and they had green hot sauce with the chips, so I took a good helping of it because I thought it was just made with jalapeños. But it was actually made with habeneros. Because of the unexpected, my mouth was on fire!

    We are almost the same weight. I’ve dropped a few pounds and am now 314 pounds. I have always been a big fat Guy (6 foot 4)and always was around 299-300 pounds. Sadly after receiving medication my weight jumped to 399 pounds in only a few months time.
    No matter what I tried I couldn’t get rid of it again until I got sick and dropped 55 pounds in two months time... now, almost 3 years later I am slowly dropping more weight again (couldn’t do anything about the weight the past couple of years because of my sickness).
    I am slowly working on dropping weight until I reach 250-260 pounds

    Honest question from a guy who tries to stay low-carb: how do they call it ‘Keto’ with all those carbs? I usually don’t have 40g of carbs all day. Regardless of opinions- this is what has always worked for me. Although I *do* miss my beer/bread/etc, etc!

    • @cutlerylover
      @cutlerylover  6 років тому

      thanks I know keto works for many people, but Im not sure how it is for your body long term, know anyone whos been on Kept for 20 years? whats their health like? I am not lieing to myself I will have bread and beer in the future at some point and in moderation, I gave them both up for a long time already but I want to be use to eating a certain way and not write off certain types of foods forever its not realistic...

    • @Howardsheppard
      @Howardsheppard 6 років тому +1

      cutlerylover I am as close as I know. I was 498lb. and now 260. Been at it for 16 years and I have blood work every 6 mo. My numbers are fantastic. That said: I slip off the wagon now and then. It’s not a religion so I don’t sweat it when I do. I just feel like crap and that reminds me to get back ‘on the path.’ Not trying to convince anyone but I researched a ton mixed with my own results. Most importantly, how i FEEL. It’s all that’s worked for me after trying everything an obese guy would try (W. W. , Optifast, meal plans - you name it). I brew beer and LOVE cooking and food! It’s all that has worked for me. But everyone has to find their ‘thing.’ If you like to read I can recommend some great (if deep) books on the very questions you’re asking.

By the way this might seem odd but i love design of the spoon and fork they look verry sturdy and comfortable to hold and love the loop on the backs. Did you craft them yourself or buy them and if you bought them do you remember where you bought them or the name because i would really like to get some myself because i hate how flimsy the ones at most stores feel.

    So much of the advice we get from the health professionals is simply wrong. But, I have two truths to offer:
    1) Consuming fat is not the problem. What causes us to put on weight is sugar. Carbs in general, but processed sugar in particular. So, eliminate all sweets.
    2) Eggs are a good food. No one has ever demonstrated scientificly that eggs are bad for you. Eggs in the morning can leave you satisfied many, many hours. Cereal in the morning will leave you hungry all day. Eggs have been found to be especially good for weight control in diabetics.

    I think the biggest thing to weight loss is portion size. You can eat all of the healthy food that you want and gain weight just because the portion size is way too big. Just burn more calories than you take in and also focus on your portion size when eating healthy foods.

    When you heated the meals in the oven did you cover the containers? If you didn't that might be the cause of the dryness in the meals. Just wondering. the pasta with the itailian stallion is isreal pearl couscous. Very tasty. I do a low carb "strongaoff" by adding 2 cans of green beans with mushrooms, a can of cream of mushroom soup, water, couple shots of worshire sauce to a Lb of ground fried beef. Very tasty nom nom.

    • @cutlerylover
      @cutlerylover  6 років тому

      Thanks for the info :) but the oven wasnt the casue of the dryness in the chicken and waffles as the items themselves were not dry it just need a sauce the same as any fresh waffle would be dry on its on or any chicken tender by itself would be dry...

    Most of that shit looks like its full of salt, fat and cholesterol. Probably has a decent amount of carbs too. The only redeeming thing is the portion size. You can lose weight far more effectively while eating twice as much if you eat the right foods. Granted those foods are mostly lifeless and flavorless chicken, fish and veggies....but that's what does it. Mental discipline.
