I swear you got me in my feels about your grandfather best damn edc is the only videos that puts me through all the emotions lol my condolences to you and your family 302
Just a personal opinion, I feel like this has definitely become a hobby rather than just an actual edc setup. Although some things are useful for daily tasks such as a phone, wallet, knife, keys etc. I feel like the money being spent on some of the items renders them useless unless the user is fine getting a scratch on a 300 to 500 dollar knife. Another item that is really situational are flashlights. I've been carrying for a while now, and I've never been put into a situation where I have needed a flashlight. I use my phone for lighting tasks, so I dont feel there is need for a torch light. It also seems like alot of people buy fieldnote books without using them to fill space in their pictures. Oh whale
@@gfunk62 I carry a diy runt 2.0 with victorinox spartan and a flash light. Whenever I need a light, the light on my phone is used more often as it;s already in my hand most of the times. As for the multi tool, I found that I use the mini champ more on my keychain. In places where they need you to sign or fill up forms, I found they have a pen for you. If they don't, the pen on my minichamp works in a pinch. As a leather addict, my EDC is definitely an excuse to buy more leather goods. I already have a diy version of a popov driftwood and a diy orbit key. So I am finding myself running out of excuses to buy leather. So an EDC is the next best thing. Brendan is right that at this point, it's more than a hobby than for practicality. But I personally don't mind. We men have limited things to collect. Watches, shoes, leather goods and maybe cars for the uber rich. EDC hits that perfect spot of being good to look at (i.e instagrammable), affordable and usable in a pinch that you can't say "I never used it and I paid for it">
addendum: most of my goods are DIY. You can visit your local leather workers and if you buy from them or befriend them, they give you special discounts and allow you more customizations than the average customer. In my case, I just give them the picture or even the link to a website (say popov or an etsy store) and they'll send me their sketch. I can also ask them to add pockets, make it slightly longer, stamp my initials, etc). When I was new and didn't know anyone, I have to sketch and give measurements myself. They also usually charge way less than established brands (example, a popov style wallet only cost me 10USD, as opposed to the 50-75 USD it's now selling online). You also save cash on shipping. You support a local worker, plus save money. Win-Win :) Who says EDC have to be expensive?
Keep your head up Taylor! I once destroyed a website with a single keystroke, rebuilt the site from scratch - because why would I need a backup, right?! - and then detonated the same site not 3 weeks later, clicking on the same exact setting in the server back end! Oh yeah, and I hadn't backed up the rebuild either :) Thanks for all the great content! 👍🏻 # 323
Love these videos. My Personal EDC just seems so freaking boring next to these masterpieces even though it works perfectly for me and was a liiittle cheaper than any of these - I always envy you guys. Keep up the good work and stun me again and again . Greetings from Germany. One thing I'd like to ask y'all : What (affordable) key organizer do you carry/ recommend. That's still the achilles' heel of my edc. 'cause my carbine solution's bulky and nosy af. Btw my number's 631 .
I recently added a new edc piece to my pocket, my daughters made resin charms with their moms ashes...If you ever start doing bag dumps they will take forever but you could do an occasional slide show
I’ve always wanted to carry a knife but I’m concerned as to the laws in my state. I’m also worried about where can I actually carry it into. I think knives come in handy a lot, there’s been many times where I needed one to cut something like a box (work) but again I’m concerned as to what I can carry with me.
Taylor, I love the channel and all the content. I'm alwau exited when I see that a new video is up. Just a suggestion, maybe try to do less themed videos and more like this with just good edc's
520. Like the show. I am some day going to send in my EDC. Been watching the show for a while getting some great ideas and so my EDC is still evolving.

I agree, I just want to add that I use my light alot in parking lots at night like at Walmart and it has been needed a few times.
