Fleur, we got married the same year you and Mike did. I have watched all your pregnancy related videos and was so excited for you. I just found out last week that we are having a baby! I am so excited. Going to start watching all your pregnancy videos again, with not just a midwife mindset, but as a soon to be mummy. Thank you so much for helping us. xxxxxx
Hi Fleur!! I am not pregnant, nor am I near that period in my life, but I still LOVE watching your baby hauls and videos!! I just find them so calming and interesting... I can only watch so many makeup videos before I've heard of the same products over and over again. Your videos are new and fresh!
Finally the first newborn essential video of someone that didn't mention unsafe "essentials" like swaddling and various unsafe sleeping baby nest/cushion things! I can tell you did a lot of research!
We have an 7 year old and now are 25 weeks pregnant, so much more is on the market now! I adore your reviews especially in this video very thorough. Loving your dedication to your upload schedule too, River has an amazing Mama x
I NEEDED this video SO MUCH.! I’m so overwhelmed with all the random newborn lists. I have no idea what else besides pampers and bottles we will need. 🤦🏼♀️💕
Kate's Ordinary Life I have a 10 month old son & was EXACTLY the same. Overwhelmed. Now that we’re expecting our second, I can say that you don’t (REALLY) need much more than that. Plus sleepers & swaddles Or you’ll discover what you need as you go. You will be fine. Fun to plan & imagine though, isn’t it?!
So true! We are sticking with the basics and figure that anything we need we can always buy later. For now we have the basic baby room, bed, chair, changing table. And as for stuff we have clothes, loads of wash clothes, loads of muslin swaddle blankets in different sizes, the things for making the bed, sheets.... A blackout curtain. Basic bottles we got for free, and a brush to clean them. Just in case breast feeding goes badly. Some diapers and free sample products for the changing table. A bath tub and thermometer and bath stuff. A lot of the stuff we got from friends so it was nice to not have to chose one. We do still need a car seat and that has been stressful because there are so many kinds and combinations and prices. For us what has made it a lot less stressful was using a project management tool called trello to organize all the list so we both have the same list and can make notes about things on the list like what type or were to buy. We have a to do list for things like hanging the curtains. A shopping list for things we still need and a list of things we already have. When friends ask if we still need anything we have the list ready to go.
Girls, thank you so much for your support and tips. It REALLY helps. I think i need to relax and stop stressing over these things. You are absolutely right, we will see what we need as we go...I think all the "glam isntagram moms-to-be" who have it all super prepared and ready kinda made me feel miserable. Gotta stop following others and focus on "us" right now. phew xoxo
Fleur! Please keep making these videos they are so so helpful! I'm 15 weeks pregnant with triplets and so lost and don't know what I really need and what I don't! These videos are so so helpful! Keep them coming! And keep being an amazing momma! 💕
I'm not a mum, but love watching videos about babies and being a momma :) It's always great to watch videos where the person is really excited and passionate about the topic, so keep it up and go where your inspiration takes you! (And then I'll come back and re-watch when the time comes for me!)
My son is now 7.5 yo, but I do enjoy your baby videos. This is great for new mums to be or for new mums who are still navigating & trying to try different stuff. I wish I had watched something like this last time...great one, Fleur. 💝💝
It's been so nice following your journey since I just had a baby 7 weeks ago. All of your recs couldn't come at a better time for me! Congrats on your bundle of joy!
You should try Ewan the dream sheep. We recently bought our son home who was born at 24 weeks pregnant. He was in the neonatal intensive care unit for 15 weeks so was used to the busy goings on. He was hard to settle if it was too quite when we bought him home. We tried the dream sheep and settled straight away. He also had colic so it distracted him from the pain x
super helpful for me as i'm 19 weeks pregnant with my second baby (another girl!) i had my first nearly 5 years ago so i've found that everything is so different and there is so much more available on the market - so thank you for this! love all your content xx
So helpful! My baby is coming in 2 weeks so this couldn’t have come at a better time. Would love to see/hear about your c section experience and recovery and if you have any recommendations to do with that x
Thank you so much for making these videos Fleur. I was pregnant at the same time as you but sadly lost the baby in September 2017. I couldn't watch any of your baby videos for a long time. Then I fell pregnant again in January 2018 and finally I have a 3 week old baby girl. I've spent the past few months watching your videos and have found them very useful. We've bought loads of baby bits based on your views and recommendations. Some more high end and also lots of the little bits too. My baby girl was enjoying the black and white book again just yesterday. : ) Keep up the good work. xxx
I used the medela shields but then it was still painful. Turned out baby had a posterior tongue tie and i finally found someone to cut it and from 8 weeks on i could feed. Had to use pump and bottle a lot and we use the same bottles are you, they are amazing and the glass ones are AMAZING, same model too. good video! x
I love this new layer in your life. I have two girls (15 and 10) and there will be NO MORE, but I'm still enjoying these videos. So many new things for parents since mine were tiny, it's fun to see and enjoy without having to endure the newborn sleepless stage again :)
My mother has this theory that leakages and explosions have to do with the shape of each baby/families of babies, so she started with pampers...except for some reason they gaped on all of us, as did every other brand she tried, and all we could fit and not explode out of was Huggies :P So we were Huggies babies, because that's what didn't explode.
Here I am watching a video about essentials for a newborn while I’m a full-time uni student, a decade away from having any babies, who’s supposed to write an anatomy and physiology final tomorrow. Priorities.
Thanks so much for doing this video. I’m nearly 12 weeks with my 1st and like you have already watched so many videos on UA-cam BUT as I’ve followed your channel for years it feels like I’ve got advice from a friend in a similar place!
Love these videos! My husband and I are hoping to get pregnant this year and I'm a major planner, so this is incredibly helpful! Thanks for your honest take on things. Keep 'em coming!
Loved this video I had my little girl a month before you (c-section too) and I was watching this nodding along at almost everything you suggested! We have only used the Naty nappies for my little one and like River barely any poo explosions and no nappy rash - I agree they do come small though we are already in size 3 at 3 months and she’s a petite little one. And the light projector 🙌🏼
We had the cloud q for both my sons (b. 2016 and 2017) and we loved it! I now passed it onto my sister in law who is due in 8 weeks. It is worth every penny! The nosefreeda is good but there are better. Especially when they catch a cold. We have adrianne that attaches to a vacuum, it does have an valve that reduces the suction and works amazingly. There is also battery powered one and that is even better.... Even though I already have two kids few items caught my eye for me or friends. I love these videos, so helpful with new tips! We also love the Naty nappies and Kolorky - these have amazing print designs on them
Fantastic video fleur! I’ve bought my 3month old the mini light projector thing and I found it in a shop called flying tiger and she adores staring at it. I recommend ‘baby’s very first touchy feels book’ from M&S, around about this age they are discovering textures. Thankyou for these videos. Lots of love from my family to yours xxx
I'm due in less than a month and have been loving watching these types of videos too! Thanks for the recommendations! Would love to keep seeing baby related content!
We will be using a mixture of Naty (mostly when we are out and about) and cloth nappies (at home). The amount of plastic nappies that pollute the environment is horrendous and I see no reason to add to it once my baby is here. Naty nappies are not only gentler on baby's skin but they're also 100% biodegradable. Not enough people care about the waste they create and though you only mentioned the other benefits of using Naty's nappies, I still find it refreshing to see someone on youtube using something other than pampers. Awesome.
So glad you said this. Our impact on the environment should be the number 1 reason to change from cheaper nappies. If we keep on ruining the environment with all this plastic and non biodegradable rubbish there will be no planet for our children to live on!! 🌼
Just keep in mind that diapers only biodegrade if you compost them or have a way of disposing of them so that they will be composted. If they are thrown in a trash can and/or wind up in a landfill, they likely will still sit around for many, many years like ordinary disposable diapers.
Loved your recommendations. I have a 2 year old daughter and am currently expecting twins! So, I’m trying to remember what I loved when my daughter was born and figure out what I still need for the new babies. Love your channel!
Hi fleur, if little river has cradle cap then dentinox shampoo works great on getting rid of it, my little boys was gone after a few washes of using it x
fleur!!! could you maybe do a video on what to get a new mother to look after herself with after having a baby? my sister is expecting and everyone (me included lmao) is getting her gifts for the baby but i also really want to get her a basket of goodies for herself too. like oils and hand creams and other nice things to treat her for when the baby comes. just looking for ideas on what she might want or need the most. 💕
As a new mum I'd say the best thing you can give her is your time! Sorry if that isn't quite what you are looking for but the friends who have come round with healthy and delicious lunch for me and then looked after baby while I had a nap/a shower are the best thing ever!
I’m just under 7 weeks away from giving birth (hopefully) and am so not ready as far as buying everything goes but this video really helped with what was actually necessary so thank you Fleur xx
You look so gorgeous! I love your hair :) I'm don't have a baby but I adore your videos and I'm really happy and grateful that you share your experience as a new mom. It's very interesting and exciting for me so please keep on uploading more videos dedicated to babies, your experience as a mom. It's exciting. xo
Hi Fleur, I had my first baby 2.5 weeks ago, I was in labour for 2 days, it ended in an emergency C - section. Obviously I can't exercise for another 3.5 weeks, I was wondering if you had an exercise routine for post cesarean you could share? Before I was pregnant I was a size 8, obviously my body now is looking VERY different, and I'm worried the c-section has created a 'mummy tummy' that I won't ever be able to get rid of, any tips would be appreciated!
Sooooo many of these are also MY newborn essentials! And I live all the way over here in New Zealand. You are definitely a mega researcher like myself Fleur! We found all the same things. A kindred spirit. :)
Thank you so much for your baby videos I am finding them really useful. Our little girl is due at the end of June so I am absolutely loving watching your uploads. ❤️😊
I had the same issue with pampers too! We had pooplosions pretty often... I never tried natural but I love Huggies cause it traps the poop for going up my son's back lol
I’ve used Naty from day one with my baby, ( she’s 7months now) and wouldn’t use anything else ! Water wipes and Naty are my go to ☺️ she’s never had nappy rash, and even if her nappy is quite full she is still super happy. I get them off amazon too and find they don’t cost a huge amount more than general nappies from the supermarket, plus for how happy she is it’s worth the extra money ! Glad she’s doing so well, my maiden name is Wren and my mum wanted us to call our little girl Wren so badly, nice to see babies with the same name ☺️ x
i'm not pregnant nor trying to be any time soon, but i find the baby videos so entertaining! i have a question about the cybex carseat, i've heard it's super heavy, how do you manage to carry it around (or you just don't carry it more than absolutely necessary which is in and out of the car to pop onto the buggy wheels)?
Not pregnant and not trying to for now but love watching your videos because it’s crazy to think I watched you ages ago and here you are now! I get emotionally weird talking about this but omg love baby-mommy themed videos!
I love swaddling my baby makes them feel safe and also avoid them scratching there face. And when there a little older gro bags are great. And a night plug which is great for a bit of light in the room. And a thermometer for room temperature and a baby voice monitor. Baby baths i like the ones where you can support the baby inside too for first time parents which find easier to wash them. I did use bath thermometer too but i mainly used my elbow which gives quick accurate. I used baby sponges until up to one years old then face clothes later on. And bath towels i like the ones with the hood wrap there wet heads too. When older i used a head band thing which helps water stay away from there eyes when washing there hair.
This was a great video, ordered all the breastfeeding items you mentioned (baby due in 8 days!) so will definitely be needing these. Thank you! You might have just saved my breastfeeding as I think I’d be close to giving up if it’s too painful xx
Agree not going to have or ever will have a baby but I've loved watching your journey :) Yes immune system isn't as built up with C section vs natural birth unfortunately so it might take a bit of time to build up. Best wishes.
I started out using Pampers and our daughter got a huge rash from them. We thought it was a diaper rash, but we were changing her every 30 minutes and it didn't get better. We switched to the natural diapers from Honest Company and she's 6 months old and hasn't had a rash since. It's a bonus that they get delivered to our door😂
I am looking at getting the same car seat but wondering how do you keep her warm when out? Do you use blankets or can you get a foot muff for it (when using outside of the car) thanks xx
Great video I really enjoyed it. In terms of nappies I don’t rate pampers at all. My eldest leaked through them all the time. I really recommend Aldi Mamia or Morrisons nutmeg nappies, affordable and contain leaks well. I also found Johnson products had too many chemicals and dried both my daughters skins out. Simple baby bath stuff I found the best
Love watching these types of videos. Even though I have a 10 yr. old n a 7 month old. Find these very interesting. N one tip I can give u for the cradle cap is to put some baby oil on her head n leave it on for a little while before u bathe her. N while the oil is on her head use her baby comb to comb through it. U will c the pieces coming off. Did that with my son n it worked.
Hi Fleur, do you have an update on the Nuna Leaf... You ‘ve said your niece liked it before but what are your thoughts on it now since I think you got the electric plug and tested it loads? super helpful video thank you! ❤️
Have your BONDS suits arrived now(I assume you prefilmed this), I just did a massive order in their 40% sale and wondered how long you ended up having to wait
I also use the Naty diapers in combination with the weleda balm and my boy is now 1,5 years old and had never baby rash. So it is a realy good combination. In your other video you told you find it hard to find black baby clothes. Maybe you have to visit some dutch websites. There are a lot of dutch brands with black baby clothes.
Thank you for making this video Fleur! I am expecting this August. I m trying just to take notes from your baby/ pregnancy videos before I go out to spend close to my due date.
All 4 of mine were born via cesarean. All 4 had a lot of excess mucus! Nasal aspirators were a must! We do not like Pampers. They do not hold urine well. Urine smell is so strong with them. And we had a lot more "blow outs" with them! Never tried natural. Always used Huggies. Wish we had that car seat in the USA! It looks amazing!
Thank you so much for helping us. xxxxxx
I'm 39 weeks and watching all of your baby videos on a birth ball! Thanks for the distraction and entertainment
Hi Fleur!! I am not pregnant, nor am I near that period in my life, but I still LOVE watching your baby hauls and videos!! I just find them so calming and interesting... I can only watch so many makeup videos before I've heard of the same products over and over again. Your videos are new and fresh!
I am just 22 years old. Nowhere close to having a baby but still your baby videos are so adorable! And I love watching them! ♥️
I don’t have a baby and I’m not pregnant but I still loved watching this. Saving all your baby related videos for future reference :-)
Becca8116 me too . Baby dust to u :)
Same!! X.
As a baby nursery nurse the natural nappies always came out better than pampers or huggies. Totally agree about bottle brand...
Finally the first newborn essential video of someone that didn't mention unsafe "essentials" like swaddling and various unsafe sleeping baby nest/cushion things! I can tell you did a lot of research!
Just brought my daughter home from the NICU after 72 days! Thanks for the tips. I love all your mama/baby videos 💚
We have an 7 year old and now are 25 weeks pregnant, so much more is on the market now! I adore your reviews especially in this video very thorough. Loving your dedication to your upload schedule too, River has an amazing Mama x
Pa Beauchamp congratulations :) im 21 weeks pregnant
I NEEDED this video SO MUCH.! I’m so overwhelmed with all the random newborn lists. I have no idea what else besides pampers and bottles we will need. 🤦🏼♀️💕

i'm so jealous why can't we as adults get pretty clothes like baby do x
Primrose Bigwood my husband and i are trying for a baby so i have started watching all these videos.
Best of luck to you guys! x

Thanks Fleur. I'm currently 40+1 and have just added a couple more items to my last minute shop list via your recommendations!!
I agree about the naty nappies, hardly any leakages and the lack of chemicals is nice. My son has only ever had nappy rash from non naty nappies!
My first granddaughter was born on 11/12/2017.so I am obsessed with all things baby.loved your video.
Not relevant but I LOVE your baby videos 💗
Here I am watching a video about essentials for a newborn while I’m a full-time uni student, a decade away from having any babies, who’s supposed to write an anatomy and physiology final tomorrow. Priorities.
Sameeee. Glad to see other people in the same situation haha
lol same here these videos give me baby fever but I know I won't have one until like 10 years
Thanks so much for doing this video. I’m nearly 12 weeks with my 1st and like you have already watched so many videos on UA-cam BUT as I’ve followed your channel for years it feels like I’ve got advice from a friend in a similar place!

Try the mustela shampoo for cradle cap! Smells lovely too x

Unfortunately Naty diapers leaked on my son every single time.😖
Please consider going vegan if you care one iota about the environment
Loved your recommendations. I have a 2 year old daughter and am currently expecting twins! So, I’m trying to remember what I loved when my daughter was born and figure out what I still need for the new babies. Love your channel!
Hi fleur, if little river has cradle cap then dentinox shampoo works great on getting rid of it, my little boys was gone after a few washes of using it x

I agree on the nipple shields! Must have for the early days

Hi Fleur, I had my first baby 2.5 weeks ago, I was in labour for 2 days, it ended in an emergency C - section. Sooooo many of these are also MY newborn essentials! And I live all the way over here in New Zealand. You are definitely a mega researcher like myself Fleur! We found all the same things. A kindred spirit. :)
Hahah yay! The mega researching helped sooo much! xo
My baby is 10 days old and those Medela nipple shields have been a LIFESAVER for me.
Thank you so much for your baby videos I am finding them really useful. Our little girl is due at the end of June so I am absolutely loving watching your uploads. ❤️😊
If anyone can recommend summer New Born clothes websites please let me know. ❤️
I love how honest you are with every single essential.👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Advent bottles are my fav. We are now using the sippy cups from them
Omg fleur I’ve been waiting for you to make this video. So excited you made it.
I had the same issue with pampers too! We had pooplosions pretty often... I never tried natural but I love Huggies cause it traps the poop for going up my son's back lol

definitely going to try out these recommendations as I'm due with my first little girl in 3 weeks and wanting to breastfeed as well! Thanks Fleur xx
I love the whale cup! I've been use one for years and it is wonderful.
i'm not pregnant nor trying to be any time soon, but i find the baby videos so entertaining! i have a question about the cybex carseat, i've heard it's super heavy, how do you manage to carry it around (or you just don't carry it more than absolutely necessary which is in and out of the car to pop onto the buggy wheels)?
Due in July!! Really appreciating all these baby videos!💙💙
I loved these videos, totally agree, I watched these for the whole 9 months, I loved the nose frida, totally still useful, now 4 months later xx
Not pregnant and not trying to for now but love watching your videos because it’s crazy to think I watched you ages ago and here you are now! I get emotionally weird talking about this but omg love baby-mommy themed videos!
I love Anna Saccone!!! I'm so happy you like her too
I love swaddling my baby makes them feel safe and also avoid them scratching there face.

Coconut oil can get rid of cradle cap! Worked for us - massage on the scalp and let sit for an hour or two then shampoo as usual.
I’m due in 2 weeks and defo want that soft all in one, it looks so cosy! X
This was a great video, ordered all the breastfeeding items you mentioned (baby due in 8 days!) so will definitely be needing these. Thank you! You might have just saved my breastfeeding as I think I’d be close to giving up if it’s too painful xx
Loved how real this was. Love sleepsuits!
Thank you Fleur! Really needed this video - so much better than all the lists on the internet and so much more fun, too ❤️
Thanks lovely! So glad you liked it! 🤗 xo
Thanks lovely! So glad you liked it! 🤗 xo
Awesome! So so glad it was useful 🤗 xo
I am looking at getting the same car seat but wondering how do you keep her warm when out? Do you use blankets or can you get a foot muff for it (when using outside of the car) thanks xx
I'm 16 and definitely not going to have a child anytime soon... Still it's fleur i must watch
Weleda is the absolute best nappy cream! Highly recommend
Could you do a what's in my changing table video? I would love to learn more about what is useful were on a changing table.
I use cloth nappies which are 👌 and so pretty!
I can listen to Fleur’s voice all day long 😍
'Risk it for a biscuit' soooo British ahah ❤️ love these videos! Something different to stuff I usually watch!xx
We use cloth diapers and we find them amazing! But if I had to use disposable ones, I would defo go for the natural ones xxx
You seem like such a great mom ❤️
Woohoo another baby video 😍😍 I’m nearly 29 weeks on Friday and have watched a dozen of these videos too 😏 thanks for the breastfeeding/feeding tips
I love these videos! I’m due with my little guy in 2 months!
I don't even plan on having kids for a few more years but I love watching these videos. So interesting!
Not pregnant. Not expecting. But I really want one of those light projectors
Hahah def get one! I don’t think they are specifically for babys! Xo
Hi Fleur,
do you have an update on the Nuna Leaf...
Amazing video!! Second most of the things as a Mummy of two!!! Your doing an amazing job ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Love your springer spaniel in the background ❤️ I grew up with a springer and she was the BEST!!!
I had the duck thermometer and it is an essential especially when she gets older and wants to play with it
So interesting to get different peoples views on products. So helpful to make it easier with a newborn 🙂
Congrats lovely 😊 hope they help! xo
Where is all your rings from? That pink one is beautiful.
Kaitlyn Michelle thank you!
Yes! Shoutout to the Aussie Bonds. I don’t know of any Australian baby that hasn’t grown up with a wardrobe filled with Bonds.
Also kit and kin are a lovely natural nappy brand and have little cute faces on the bottom x
Your videos are so helpful if you want to buy a present for a new mum.
I got that whale cup for the bath before my daughter was born and she will be 3 now this June... still use and love it!
Yay thank goodness for this video. I'm due in 5 weeks and this is so helpful. Love from New Zealand
Try massaging some coconut oil on her cradle cap if you need a little help softening it up!
