I'm happy that Fleur gets to have all those things for her baby and I don't know why some of you feel the need to complain, be negative or throw shade. It's her money and she can do as she pleases with it!

tamakikawaii hi, as I commented myself, she has bought expensive now, but intends to use the same equipment for future babies. If you added up all the equipment you'd buy for say 3 babies if you had to buy new for each one, you would be spending double what Fleur has spent. Her baby buys are an investment for little miss, and future babies. So I completely agree with you. I'm sure people leaving negative comments, it they could afford the very best for a expected baby, they would buy the best to.

    • @EvaDull
      @EvaDull 7 років тому +3

I agree but I wish she'd done a give away especially she knows many of her subscribers are also pregnant (I'm not pregnant for the record) but so many people can't afford the basics... She's got plenty of money to buy her own everything, she could have given all gifted items to her subscribers.

right not to mention its her first! who dosent get excited to shop for their baby. if i had the money to spend with my first i would have, now being on #3 i know what items i wanted to spend good money on and which ones to go cheaper or even used on. People just overreact because they couldnt or wouldnt do it for theirs

HI Fleur, my baby is your age so maybe in the coming years I will be a grandmother. Baby items have really improved since my son was little. I love the buggy and baby carriers that turn into a buggy. So many lovely things for your little girl. She will be well cared for and loved so much by you.

Hi Fleur, really great buys! The Tripp Trapp is also great for newborns if you get the newborn set which you can click on the chair. It allows the baby to 'sit' on the table with you and ours loved it!

We love our Stokke Tripp Trapp - my hubby bought the newborn insert and we got heaps of use out of it. Our baby was able to sit/recline at the table from a week of age and participate in meals - she loved it. We used it till she was sitting upright - about 5 or 6 months. It’s an extravagance but we loved it

  • @kardancer1

Love everything. You should look into getting a jumperoo/ door jumper or excersaucer/ activity center. Anyone of these items are great for when the baby gets older and can sit up. It lets them sit up, use their leg muscles and play. Whichever version you choose will do the trick and it's nice place to put them when they are more mobile and you need to put them somewhere safe if you need to quickly get something done.

I want to start this comment off by saying what a lovely genuine person you are, I've never watched any of your videos before but I instantly got a really nice vibe from you so I'm going to sub to keep up with your baby antics- which by the way, I'm so happy for you! you look like you've hit the "blooming" stage!! However (and this is by no means bitter!) I do feel a little sad about all your lovely baby things. I'm a full time nurse and my husband is a farmer and we work so hard, yet all the baby stuff I'm looking at is either 2nd hand off gumtree or eBay. I never realised just how expensive all these things were and I clicked on your video for inspo because I love seeing what other new Mums are getting for their first babies. But I realistically just couldn't afford to get all of the wonderful things you have (at least not new) and I don't know if it's just me being emotional (bloody hormones) but I felt a little bit guilty because I'm currently researching the safety level of good old maxicosi car seats and where locally I can find a 2nd hand sleepyhead, instead of unpacking exciting new baby goodies.
Again, this is NOT a criticism against you. You clearly love your little one and she is going to have a wonderful mamma and that is all that matters! I have no doubt that you work hard and the free bits you receive are well earned by yourself. The contrast between us both was just a little deflating 😂
Good luck with the next few months, I wish you all the luck and happiness in the world ❤

I'm 28 and I even sat in the Stokke high chair as a kid and actually it was a good chair for me, without the bit for the feet obviously, till I was around 10 years old. It's just comfy to sit in, good support for the back etc. My niece now sits in it and has from baby and she is 8 now, still makes use of it. You'll love it, it lasts for ever and it is quite adjustable and customisable. So while it's expensive you REALLY get your moneys worth with that one!

  • @annawaterfield4048
    @annawaterfield4048 7 років тому +2

For anyone worried about the cost of a baby they really need very little and it does not need to be as expensive as this. Also, it's wise not spending a fortune as you have not met your baby yet and really what you will use will be dictated by them. Having realistic expectations is probably the best advice to avoid dissapointment. A second bed for 'naps in the day'! Whilst you're pottering downstairs, oh my I hope this for you very much but suspevt thing may not work out this way. Two car seats I suspect will be a faff. Two isofix bases if you have lots of money to spare may be convenient. I think you'll find you streamline pretty quickly.

  • @ChloeBridge

I'm 3 babies in and I find you still invest in baby things even 3rd time round, as new products come out all the time, things change, etc, although there are certain big items I've used for all three. I love choosing baby things, it's so fun.

Ah I love a baby buys video, I need to film mine once the house renovations are done! We had that same Tommee Tippee monitor with Harrison and whilst I did love it and will probably use it again this time, the sensor mat was incredible sensitive so keep that in mind. It sent me into panic quite a few times! xx

My 2 children are close in age and my first child was still using the frame of the pram that we planned to use for future children. Me and my husband decided on a Venicci denim grey/white. Are you planning on breastfeeding or bottle-feeding you baby girl? x

I Love the Stokke newborn Set! You can attached it on your TripTrap and have the Baby next to you when you are eating or cooking.
Also when you start feeding most Babys cant sit at this time and again it's Perfect!

Fleur- as the mother of one year old twins I have one must for you- baby bjorn bouncer. I have the mesh one. It dries easily and is breathable for hotter months. It's a MUST. We still use the, now when we have to have them secure somewhere and they are 1. We have used them since they were only months old. Please look into them as they were a life saver! Congratulations 💗 I have boy and girl twins. Nothing better in the world than becoming a mother.

Fleur-- I have two children and find what other people choose for baby gear fascinating. With my firstborn we went with an angel care monitor similar to your tommy tippee choice but overtime noticed that it had many false positives. Perhaps it won't be an issue with the tommy tippee. However with my second we chose to buy an owlet monitor-- and I don't know if they're available in the UK or strictly in the US. It's a sock type monitor that monitors heart rate and oxygen level (and eventually temperature too!) we've really loved it-- so just in case the other one doesn't work out -- the owlet is also a great choice!

    • @shannanne13
      @shannanne13 7 років тому

I have a 1.5 year old and am pregnant with my second. We have the angel care for my first and didn't use the motion pad. I'm considering getting the owlette sock with my second though. I was always so paranoid with my first that I like the idea of the sock and having peace of mind. I don't want to be worrying during what little sleep I will be getting .

We have the SnuzPod, the Doona, the Stokke High Chair (with the newborn insert - life saver) and the Nuna and we LOVE all of them. I'm so excited for you. It's not been long since we had Daisy, so I don't have too much to buy for this baby boy. You've made some great choices here! xx

  • @blondesided3498

You look amazing- absolutely glowing. A video monitor is essential- I used mine even more when my son was a toddler. It was really handy when we transitioned from crib to toddler bed: I could see if my son was in his bed and it had an intercom so I could tell him to get back into bed 😂 Really smart investments- the play mat is genius. It's good to get a robust one that will entertain your little one for hours and from infancy to toddlerhood. And the travel systems are so wonderful- it's so much easier to transfer the car seat into the pram- especially when they are asleep. Your baby bag is so chic! Wishing you a safe and easy delivery- enjoy the precious time with your newborn. It's the best 💕

This is quite funny to watch as I have many of the items you chose.
Cybex Cloud Q - we are using it on our second baby and it is great. It is quite heavy so switched to Sirona before we had to. I do love it though and I am very glad we bought it.
Stokke chair - we now have two! You can get newborn insert which is amazing. If baby is awake it can join you at mealtime. I also bring it to the kitchen if baby is fussing and I am trying to cook. Well worth the extra investment. We also used it when we started weaning my first son as he was not stable enough for the baby attachment. Now we have my older son 21 months in baby attachment and younger son 5 months in the newborn.
We also have the Nuna and everyone loves it, even the cats. They sometimes swing in it too 😂 It can take quite a heavy weight so even older kids can use it. We not have the wind plug in though.
We used Moba for both kids too. I was so sad to pack it away when they grew out of it.
I have different breathing monitor, one that hospital uses and we used it for a year with our first and will use it in a same way again with our second.
It sounds you are very well set and ready.
I love the look of Priam but we chose bugaboo donkey as both kids still need to sit in the buggy. I am yet to get a lightweight one. I am looking at Nuna Pepp lux for the car but not sure yet.
    Good luck!

We loved the Cybex carseat! I will say that we rarely used the lie down function on it. The shift in position (for us, your baby could be different) was just as likely to wake up baby. However, we rarely had problems with him waking up when we lifted him out of the carseat and into his stroller bassinet! Id be curious to hear down the line if you ended up using this feature a lot. Maybe with our next we will use it more. But a great carseat either way! Great picks! we didn't get a whole set for the bedroom either, we used the top of a dresser for the changing pad and bought a crib separately :) we loved our angel care with he sensor pad, for me, it gave me huge piece of mind to know it would alert me if something was wrong. One great piece of advice we received was to put a thin piece of wood underneath the crib mattress to put the sensor on top, under the mattress, so that there would be less false alarms.. we only had one false alarm ever. I think it has to do with the sensor laying flat and not on slats. sounds like you're all set.

Get the newborn insert for the Tripp trap and then you can sit them at the table from the day they’re born. We never had a cold meal and it makes them know what to do when you start weaning later on.

Lovely bedside bassinet and the other with the handles. I have to share that cool air and drafts are common problems the lower you go to the floor, especially in the winter and in older houses which aren't always the best for insulation. The higher you can place the baby away from the floor is much better, i.e. the height of a crib/cot. All the best! x from Stefani

Hi, if you get the newborn set for the stokke tripp trapp you can use the chair from day one. I have it for my baby, she’s 4 months old now, we love it, it’s very convenient.
Also, if possible, look into the Owlet, it’s a monitor you put on baby’s foot. It measures oxygen and heart rate, like a pulse oximeter at a hospital, it sounds an alarm if they drop or if the heart rate is too high. It gives us great peace of mind.
We too have the Cybex Cloud Q, love the canopy, extends really far down. We haven’t gotten as much use as I thought we would out of the recline feature, but I’m very happy with it regardless.

Love these videos, we're due around the same time (I'm first week of Jan) so I'm on the same journey. I can highly recommend the newborn set for the stokke high chair, it means baby can be up seeing your face while you eat dinner, which means you may actually get through dinner! Also great while you're cooking because again they can see your face and feel part of 'it'. Best of luck with the remainder of your pregnancy x

You should have looked into getting the Joolz Geo Duo!! It is Cybex car seat compatible, works as a single or double stroller, folds super neat and easily (with 2 seats and all wheels attached which is SO hard to find!). It also has air filled wheels and great suspension and pushes like a dream and works well "off road". Comes with lots of accessories available and in so many stylish colours (I love Stone and Parrot Blue). Most importantly though it goes from a single to double and back again. Perfect for the growing family. It also has the footprint of a single pushchair and is so neat. I have 2 under 3 years old and WISH I had invested in this with my first because, like you, I knew I wanted more than one child. But there you go :) If you decide to have another one soon then please remember the Joolz. It's the best in my opinion but often overshadowed by the Bugaboo which is very hyped up. Price range is around £800-1400 depending on how many accessories/add ons and what colours you buy. I highly recommend!! Good luck with your bubba ❤

This video was very helpful! I am about 7 months pregnant and we just purchased the Cybex Cloud Q car seat. I can't wait to use it. My local shop had it on sale for $100 off!!!

Oh that lie flat car seat is a game changer 🤔 currently 7 months pregnant with my second and I think I'll have to invest in one. Great idea. Seems like you're all set for your baby girl to arrive. So exciting! 😊

I always like listening to Fleur talking about anything and really enjoyed the video. I just quickly wanted to throw out there that nobody needs all this stuff to raise a baby - not even half of it. So I hope it doesn't scare anybody out of the wish of having a baby.

I went for the exact same car seat (even in color) to attach to a Bugaboo Cameleon 3 with the adapters. I love it, although it took me a lot of trials to entirely get how to unlock the position😂😂 my partner thought it was broken. Turns out it’s not that smooth as it seems, maybe with use..

The chair. I’m 22 and I had the chair and we still have it! It looks like a normal chair if it’s just sitting in the corner but it is a really useful if my parents have little quests over! My brothers kids have also used the chair. It is something to keep forever and maybe someday it will come with me when I have a kid!

Also, if you haven't picked a nursery chair, that's something you should invest in; you will spend a TON of time in it! We went ahead and had an electric recliner custom made and are so happy we did!

As a mum of 4 it is wonderful to see the excitement in your eyes when talking about your baby's things! I had forgotten those wonderful days. I love the choices you have made, especially as you want to have more than one baby they will do you really well. REALLY wish there had been a Doona when my kids were little, that looks like a godsend!

Snuzahero is such a wonderful breathing monitor that clips on their nappy. It monitors their breathing and if it stops it vibrates for the baby and the alarm goes off for the parents. We had one for our first girl and then bought another one for our second girlie. I can’t recommend it enough! We used it with both of them until they were one! (Paranoid husband!)

I went for the iCandy Peach pram wise, been looking into the Stokke high chairs I love how they adapt and grow with the child! I also got bought a tomme tippee prep machine even though I will be breastfeeding at the beginning I’ve heard such amazing reviews on it, it’s makes the bottle instantly at the correct temperature so I’ll be using it when weaning. Babies are so exciting! Xx

I’m SO HAPPY you mentioned about the babies in car seats, you seem so informed. It’s my biggest bug bear seeing mums using Doona’s the whole time for a few hour long time periods, is so dangerous for newborns! Good for you. Xx

Quick tip my baby is almost 2 now,but when she was small, the carrier was a life saver! When she got fussy I would put her in it at home an run the vaccum it worked like a charm. She would stay asleep too. Kinda like driving except my house was always clean an saved money on gas for the car!

I'm so pleased to see you got the Doona car seat - it was great for us when Florence was newborn. So handy for quick trips out. The snuzpod is probably my favourite big baby product and I can't wait to get it out again next year for baby number two! Lovely video Fleur x

So much good stuff. Have you considered baby-wearing? It's seriously a game changer. I recommend a Solly Wrap for newborns then a soft structured carrier when she gets a bit bigger. There are so many different ones that you'll have to experiment to see which fits your body best. I love the Becco Gemini.

As for the baby brain have you had your iron levels tested lately? if your iron levels are low it'll make things like that a lot worse I had really bad baby brain a few weeks ago and it turned out I was iron deficient and have been put on iron tablets even though I've been taking pregnacare which has Iron and I've been feeling alot better since!
