The absolute best video of the jaw dropping fabulous sites while snorkeling on Santa Catalina Island. Thank you so much for posting this, one of the BEST!! sites of amazing sea life.
Hi Mary Anne. Thank you so much for your comments-I really appreciate it! Catalina has some of the clearest waters and best snorkeling in California-reminds me of the Mediterranean. Was hoping to see a shark but maybe it's better that I didn't see any!
Nice recording. Thanks for sharing. One small correction though. Garibaldi is not California State fish. Golden trout is. However, Garibaldi is state marine (saltwater) fish.
@Kush 213 Very classy comeback. What are you, (7) years old? They both are state fish, but when you type "California State fish", Golden trout is listed first.
@Kush 213 More and more you are showing your lack of class and how prejudice you are. Don’t know how old you are, but there is a good chance I was teaching fishing to kids when you were in diapers. By the way it is CA not C.A.
Wow it looks so nice but I have a question. I'm heading to Catalina and I want to snorkel where there is a lot of fish, do you recommend lover's cove more or behind the casino?
If I had to pick one place, it would be Casino Point, behind the casino. There's a ladder there that you take to get into the water. You'll also see scuba divers there and there's a lot of kelp. Lover's Cove is shallower and has less fish, at least when I was there.
Hi Monica-it was filmed at Avalon (Lover's Cove and Casino Point). I brought my own equipment but if you pay for a snorkeling tour, they will provide the equipment.
First time seeing Calico Bass. They're gorgeous. Lots of marine life. This is one of the best shore dives on the planet. Mucho gracias
You're welcome!
Great film. Aquarium fish. Clean water clear water cold water. .

The Golden Trout is the state fresh water fish, and the Garibaldi is the state salt water fish.

Hi, really nice video. Where is this? Avalon? Did you rent equipment there or did you bring your own?

What's clear Hawaii's beaches or Catalina Islands
If I had to choose one, I'd probably say Hawaii is clearer.
Awesome! I'm heading to Catalina tomorrow night, so I'm trying to get as much info as possible about the snorkeling and camping! Nice video!
+King_Of_Flames 15 Thank you and enjoy!
We are going to Catalina island for my school for a week as a environmental cleanup group!🌿🌎
Lovers Cove is NOT relaxing - ALWAYS have to be aware of the submarine and glass bottom - AND ROCKS ROCKS ROCKS
