That is the quintessential kelp forest dive view that I'm looking to experience here soon. Just have to find a dive buddy to get out to Catalina with haha

Exactly our thoughts! It’s amazing how tall the kelp grows!

The entry is so much easier with the stairs than it was climbing through the rocks. A great place to see Garibaldi and kelp.

As shore divers, we whole heartily agree. The divers before us saw some adult giant sea bass so it’s hit and miss just like any dive spot. Hope you had as much fun as we did!

I wondered it considering the water temperature, how thick a swim suit would not make us cold there? BTW, thank you for this beautiful sharing.

We used 7mm wet suits that day on two consecutive dives for about 2hours total. You’ll definitely want to bring something to warm up in between and after dives, but in the summer you can warm up in the sun pretty quick. Thanks for watching! We appreciate your comment!

      Hey Sasha,
We are both PADI open water certified divers. During this dive we used all of the equipment listed as well! With out the exposure equipment we wouldn’t be able to last more than a few minutes under the water, I’m sure! Thanks for your question.

what do I need to know about scuba diving and can I wear wetsuits and dive gloves and dive hoods and dive boots and dive fins dive masks and scuba tanks and bcds and regulators to breath from and breath underwater with my mom friend Marty and take a vacation somewhere warm and wear scuba gear

@@sashavoitoff7514 We would advise going to your local PADI or NAUI certified dive shop and sign up for an introduction open water class. In regards to the equipment needed, if you plan on diving in warmer water, you might not need all of the exposure equipment listed. Another question for the instructor in your area! (: hope that helps! And thanks again for your questions!

how long did it take you you guys to get scuba certified and what dive shop did you go to get scuba certified from can I talk to a dive shop in reno nevada about scuba diving with my mom friend Marty

@@sashavoitoff7514 You'll need to find a dive shop local to you so that you can talk about scheduling. It will be multiple days so I wouldn't try doing it during a vacation, since you may have to spend extra time on certain things if they are difficult for you. I'm pretty sure Reno has a dive shop, but you'll end up doing freshwater dives and will need to add more weight when diving salt water. San Diego has good dive centers, so if you were to try and get certified on a vacation, here would be a decent and reasonably priced option.
