- Step by Step video on how to add a device to your Alexa app so you can control it through voice commands. We use blink cameras and linked them to the Alexa app for this demonstration. At the end we show it in action on the Echo Show 5 (link below). Quick and easy. Thanks
Glad we could help!
Thx my dad asked me about this so this was helpful 😊
Glad I could help!
Does anyone else’s camera take forever to load on phone and on echo?? Defeats the purpose of the camera when the person leaves the door by the time the camera pops up. Sometimes it doesn’t connect at all.
I installed a WiFi booster, and it has really helped with the system.
IS IT FREE AND DO YOU INSTAL ON THE ECHO?@@BusyBeeLiving
Yeah that means your WiFi is slacking. Try boosting or upgrade your WiFi
@@elitui7997 it wasn’t the Wi-Fi. I had the highest Wi-Fi because me and my stepson are gamers. It was because I had to set a rule. And make a rule that said whenever the doorbell rang it it would announce someone’s at the door. Took a while, but I got it.
@@StephanieJamesKeenanno, its not just you. This is a common complaint with doorbell cameras such as Blink and Wyze.
How do I get the LaView doorbell to ring on my Alexa echo
Manual for amazon elexa echo show 8 2n gen
If multiple people are using Echo Shows in the house using the same Amazon account, could they access my blink on their Alexa device? Or can I set up the blink to only show on one Alexa device?
I believe you can restrict which devices are activated by the doorbell in the Alexa app.
Is there a way for the Show 5 to automatically show the Blink when motion activated? Thanks!
Tap the “Devices” icon on the bottom right corner of the screen to reach the Devices view, then tap the "Cameras" icon on the upper left.
Tap a Blink camera that you wish to use for Alexa interaction, and enable the “Motion Announcements” toggle on the settings screen.
@@BusyBeeLiving I have done that but still nothing, Alexa just keeps saying "doesn't support this"
@@nnroopnarine I am having that same problem? Did you ever get it to work?
@@saravermillion I’m having the same problem have you found a solution yet?
@busybeeliving I'm having the same problem also
Does live view time out on Alexa after awhile like it does on your phone?
I've tested it and it last longer than I was patient enough to sit there and see if it would time out, but I'm sure it does after awhile.
Don’t work on echo 5 only on echo 8
I can see the camera , but when press door bell won’t charming eco show
I am not seeing "Blink" under list of brands. What is the reason?
All of these things online are the same, how about when you've done all of this and tried multiple troubleshooting and it still won't show up on my Echo 5.
It must be happening in the Alexa app. Check out our video specifically on linking devices to Alexa for help. Also check your WiFi strength around where the cameras are and your echo show to make sure the signal is making it to the device.
Same mine says its not responding I'm so lost
any idea on why i cant download the blink smarthome skill on my iphone??
No, I was able to download it to my iPhone with no issues. I would think it would have something to do with your phone settings. 🤷♂️
Is there a way i can speak through my echo show to the blink camera
Yes, ask it to pull the camera up and there is a mic button to talk.
@@BusyBeeLiving. How to pull the Camera up ?
I can't seem to link a smart plug to the show(home) I've added a profile to it, registered my voice, linked the device and device app to alexa app, it says it's paired, but when I say, computer turn on kitchen light, which is what I named the smart plug, (which says it's compatible with Amazon) it says kitchen doesn't do that lol. I'm like oh it doesn't ehh?? Lol. So annoying. Please help.
I would guess that it's something to do with the command since it acknowledges that "kitchen" exists. I do not have any smart plugs at the moment but if I add one I'll be sure to make a video that may help with this. Currently, I just don't have any experience with those devices.
Does the camera playback
You can go into the blink app and access all your archived videos
I cannot find Amazon alexa
I try but I don’t know what is the security pin
If you're talking about the security pin that is asked for when adding the blink to the Alexa app (time stamp 0:40), it is created by you in this step. The pin is needed when you are trying to disarm the blink system using the Alexa devices.
My echo show 5 won't show live feed from blink doorbell
Please help
Ask it to show “what you named the camera” and it will pop up the live feed.
I had to rename my camera to the word “doorbell” so Alexa wouldn’t misinterpret the command.
I have an echo 3 can I connect it to my blink camera? I don’t see anything under “devices” 😢
I am not sure on that and was unable to find anything that specifically said it could or couldn't connect to that device. We have ours connected to the echo show 5 as well as our echo dots. Some of the dots are older generations as well.
@@BusyBeeLiving so I finally got it to work after much trouble but now it takes so long for my video to load. Saying waiting in blink or something
@@StephanieJamesKeenanwhat you do
For me anytime i ask alexa to show me the camera it says that it does not support it
You may need an update or check to see that the device is proper set up in the Alexa app.
@@BusyBeeLiving i have the same issue for my doorbell only though. All other blink cameras show on my show 5. The doorbell says not supported.
I had this issue on my ES8 (2nd gen). ES8 said it didn't support it. I went to You Tube and it took me thru the procedure using the Alexa app. I went into the Alexa app and deleted my Blink mini camera and then reinstalled it. To my surprise .. it now works. I can see my Blink mini camera on the ES8. It's all magic!
Why is mine saying “live not supported”?
I'm not sure why yours is giving you this message. Try and going into the app and checking the settings on the device to see if something is blocking it.
@@BusyBeeLiving I have that same problem, i have checked the apps many times nothing is blocking it
What if your brand is not listed?
If it is not showing then it would be a brand that is not supported yet.
I can’t see the blink why is that
Go into your Alexa app and make sure everything is set up properly there
How do you connect the echo show 5 to Alexa app
In the app go devices and then click the plus sign to add devices and follow the prompts from there.
Just get your saliva on your Alexa and then you’re connected for life seriously 😐
Mine will not connect all the time ... don't know why just got mine today
Could be an issue with WiFi. I had the same thing happening but once I installed the WiFi booster it eliminated the issue, something to try.
It didn't ask me to sign in to account I have had it set up before but I moved amd I can no longer get my alexa.to show live
