Good morning Steve, I follow most all of your advice and I buy a lot of the products you suggest I even have the sprinkler system that you advised on getting. Along with ring and much more. I have a question for you though before I started watching you I bought a wired security camera system that was installed in my house. It is a Zosi, I would like to hook that up with my echo devices. I have the Echo Show five right now and two of my rooms. I have not been able to figure out how to hook it up to my wired cameras that are going to the internet so I can scan them on my phone at any time. Have you done anything on this system that I have missed?
i would like it if you dont have to say alexa or echo show me the cam but if as soon some body is at the door and the srceen show me and alert me that would be awsome

It’s going to be the same process, just search for eufy instead of Arlo. :)
I’m able to link the eufy wireless doorbell cam to the echo show 8 but it’s not allowing me to speak through it. No mute function available either like the video. Am I doing something wrong? Can you do a video on that.

I just connected a Eufy wireless 2k Video Doorbell. Not the one with the ""Home base", the one with the "Chime". It's wireless but connected to the doorbell wires so I don't have to charge it all the time.
I been looking and can't find it so maybe you would know.
Can I do the same thing with a Samsung Smart TV using Alexa to show it on the TV screen without a Firestick or anything ?
Great Job. Hard to find info for Echo Show which has a screen. I wish there was some information on using the Show 5 with Reolink Argus 2 /camera(s). Support isn't there much even when you connect thier support.
I know this was a couple years ago, but is there a way to get a doorbell chime to happen on the Echo Show? Ideally it would also display the camera feed at the same time.

Your videos are really helpful, bt I still have one problem I bought the fire stick to connect my tv to my arlo ultra I did everything you said but alexa still tells me that camera are not supported this device
Do you know if someone rings the arlo doorbell if it will automatically pop up on your echo show or TV? Or you always have to request it . I’m stuck between different doorbell or cameras because I would like for it to automatically pop up on our echo shows and fire tv stick.

Steve, I have an Echo Dot, 2nd gen, I believe, that at least once a week goes offline. Alexa says "it looks like it is a router issue" and "try unplugging your router" to fix it, which I don't do, because it is a business environment. Also, I can easily get it back online with my Alexa app. I have not been able to determine a cause. It is not too far away. It is Comca$t business dual band router. I'm considering upgrading to a newer Echo, but I don't want the same issue with a newer one. Any ideas? Thanks.

You can not. Amazon doesn't like Google Nest playing in it's ecosystem. Such a disadvantage for all it's customers.
I am trying to connect Arlo Pro cameras to the Echo Show 5, and I have multiple networks and I can link the 2 accounts but Alexa cannot seem to find the cameras. Does Arlo and Alexa need to be on the same network? There is a HUB for the cameras. Any suggestions? Very frustrating!
How can you ask Alexa to arm/disarm Arlo? Do I have to do it manually, via the app, every time?
Hi, I connected echo show 5 with Blink indoor camera but the audio isn't working properly. I can speak in the camera and listen to echo show but somehow I can't speak in echo show and listen to the camera. Is there something I am missing?

I have an older Fire TV Stick but, I don’t know if it works with them all. Are you have problems connecting Echo to the Stick or getting the camera to display through the stick?

My echo dot currently is working with my firestick, ring security and doorbell, roomba and sengled smartbulbs. Next is to integrate my wyze cam system to play it on my fire tv.

I love your work and appreciate it. However the Arlo app with the echo simply does not work. I’m getting an error message that the authentication process has been rejected. Might have something to do with the fact that Amazon now has their own security cameras.
Is it possible to show Arlo Pro 2 camera video on the Echo Show 5 display ? Mine only reports Arlo motion in audio statements.

Dose this with a echo plus? What Arlo Base station are you using?
You can use an Echo Plus to talk to but you’ll still need a FireTV Stick to display it on the TV. I’m currently using the Arlo Pro3 base.

It would depend on the system that you’re controlling but, I have seen commands on IFTTT for some of the major cameras out there.

No. Arlo doesn't support that.
When I get to the YOUR SKILLS area, and go into my Blink account, it's asking for a PIN and I was not asked to set up a PIN. Now how do I get past this area?
I just tested the Blink skill and it’s asking you to create a pin for disarming your system.

Enter in any 4 digits you want to create the new pin.
