There was a treasure hunting TV show following a crew of people searching for either Mayan or Inca treasure. The first episode had them on Snake Island with special permission and the snakes and poison spiders were everywhere you look.
I hiked up Mount Washington when I was in high school with a large group of teenagers divided into groups. It was a bit much. Not only was it windy, but one of the teens had to be evacuated by helicopter due to heat stroke and some others didn't see the warning sign and went on a wrong path right into an avalanche zone. When I reached the top and found out that there was a road and we could have driven up, I was sort of pissed off. I could have done without that hike.
I am the pied piper of snakes. I will find snakes anywhere I go, every walk, hike, yard...and I have learned how to cope. Now, keep them Palmetto bugs the hell away from me. I can never...
Mt. Washington is on this list! Wow! I used to live in New Hampshire before moving to Texas 4 years ago. I've only seen Mt. Washington from the bottom and that was good enough for me, because I heard about the wind.
thats crazy I'm in Saskatchewan. our wind is bad enough one time i was walking home from the mall behind my house & the wind literally carried me home i barely touched the ground for about 2 blocks 😂
I suppose there isn't much call for tourist guides to these places. Been in one high elevation place (mountains in Colorado) and also a couple desert areas in Arizona and California. Although challenging, didn't seem as dangerous as these places. Thanks for sharing.
My son and his family just moved to Thailand. I plan on visiting them before year's end. I don't think we'll go anywhere near that crocodile park. There is a park near where they live to see and feed elephants, but I'm sure no crocodiles are there. I'm looking forward to the trip.
If a climber wants to boast down the pub they climb Everest but if a climber want's to boast to another climber they climb K2, it's called the widow maker for good reason.
IIRC K2 kills about a third of the fools attempting to climb it. Unlike Everest there is no good way up or down. Everest today is a very dangerous tourist attraction made safer and more accessible every year while K2 remain just as lethal as ever even to pros and expert climbers.

Where the 1700 people died, may not realize the smell was killing them, or reluctant to leave their home till too late. Safety in many countries takes a back seat when profits involved. Sad but real. Waikiki Beach Oahu Hawaii can give you a nasty staff infection. Stay away! The water is super polluted. Also, there are a lot more shark attacks in Hawaii than reported so not to disrupt the tourist industry. Mostly tiger sharks. Just trust your senses if diving there. Of you go outside of Haunama Bay snorkeling, it is a breeding ground for hammerhead sharks. Hundreds
Asia and Bj I rock with you'll. but listen someone needs to tell BJ to bring it down during movie reactions. cause it's movies he be screaming and they are not scary doing to much my dude. 😂
Hey guys, you'd have to be literally nuts, maybe a peanut or a cashew to go to these places. There are people that live for dangerous areas just for the experience as well as the adrenaline. Personally, I'd love to go to Borneo and find two headed snakes that I've never seen in person, maybe some other biologically interesting creatures. This was cool. Too bad I'm not a traveler. Btw, the Bermuda Triangle is quite fascinating. There's a movie called Triangle (2009), made it like a deja vu movie.
The silent killer around volcanoes would be carbon monoxide. It has no smell and you don't realize it until you may get a headache. The hydrogen sulfide, sulfur dioxide and sulfuric acid vapors will get you too.
I'd suggest carbon dioxide is worse, it kills much more quickly and, even when it doesn't, it forms carbonic acid when disolved in moisure, and can cause very nasty burns for survivors, externally and to the repiratory system.
@@gordowg1wg145 Carbon dioxide gives you a warning. It has a off smell, sorta like stale socks, this gives you time to leave the area. Carbon monoxide gives no warning, you're going to drop dead in very short time if you don't leave the affected area. I've worked in chemical plants and power plants, we had to wear escape respirators because of CO, CO2, H2S AND SO2. Not to mention the sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, phosphoric acid and sodium hydroxide fumes. CO2 is a relatively slow killer and you pass out slowly, CO will drop you very quickly.
@@gordowg1wg145 Either CO or CO2 forms an acid with water. Harshness of course depends on concentration. Both in the air can be deadly, but CO2 is more likely to form the quantities needed to be deadly, an less likely for you to detect.
