I watched day 1 yesterday evening. Just finished day 35! These types of video are very addictive. This is definitely one for the future, I've already created a word document with 6 sections including daily itinerary and possible campsites 🤣 Looking forward to the rest of the videos. Cheers Paul 🚶♂️⛺👍
Thanks for watching. I hope you found them useful in your planning. I’m currently editing the next walk. If you have any questions when planning your walk please just ask.
Hey mate, just thanks for chronicling you walk. I’ve watched you since your first leg from Minehead, that seems like a long time ago! Your videos inspired me to get out and knock a couple of sections off myself but I won’t be able to do the whole thing in one go until retired 😂! Will be a sad day when you actually complete the SWCP!
Hi Iain. Thanks for sticking around and watching. Yes it does feel like a long time ago. It feels even longer when I think of all the miles that I’ve covered since then. Great stuff that you’ve done some too. I’m sure I’ll find something to fill my time when I’m finished. I think I’d like to do a series of walks and camps on the coast on some of my favourite sections.
@@pilgrimpaul7798 favourite section for me has to be first chunk of Minehead round to Bude (less the flat boring estuary around Barnstaple). Would do that walk again in a heartbeat.
This brought back some memories😀 On our walkingholiday from Plymouth to Brixham we stayed at a B&B in Challaborough and then walked on to Salcombe. Remember that nerve-racking cliffwalk very well. The landscape is spectacular. Beautiful filming,as always🌸
Another good video mate, I really like your constant upbeat attitude and how you take the micky out of yourself. The weather there looked a lot better than when I walked Bude to Newquay the same weekend, the wind was harsh and constant for most of it.
🤣 well I set myself up so easily that I just take the micky before anyone else gets chance 😆 I think I remember you posting updates of your walk and I couldn’t believe the difference in weather.
@@pilgrimpaul7798 do it to them before they do it to you, or the other way around in your case😀. Just shows how a small difference in distance can have a massive difference with the weather, but I was glad it wasn’t hot with those 2 brutal stretches
@@carletonlong3374 yes you had a tough section. I’ve just got to my camp site in Dorset ready for the Mighty Hike tomorrow. I think that’s going to be tough in the heat forecast.
@@pilgrimpaul7798 yes it will be a tough day, at least there will be plenty of rest stops, keep the rehydration tablets going in. I did the 2 moors way last July in the same sort of heat so I am sure you will be fine. Good luck fella and enjoy yourself.
@@pilgrimpaul7798 it certainly will, although I’m from South Wales, so I plan to do some of the Welsh Coastal path first. Somewhere a bit closer to home.
Thank you Glenn. I’m not sure if links to external sites work on these comments, but here is the address to my just giving page. Thank you. Wish me luck 🍀 www.justgiving.com/fundraising/pilgrim-paul
Another nice video Paul. Looks like an ace bit of coast. Just one thing - why don't you use the hip belt on your rucsac? I wince slightly every time I see you not using it 😁😁

Thank you Elina I hope I captured it in a way that did it justice. You wouldn’t want to take a stumble on that cliff section!
Great video once again 🙏 Lovely stretch of coast there and lucky with the on shore breeze.
There are a couple of close to edge bits on this walk, so yes an onshore wind was def helpful.
Another good one paul, the views just keep coming, awesome 👍
They will keep on coming for about the next 100 miles!
Nice video again Paul 👍 Good luck on the mighty hike 🚶♂️
Thanks Richard. I think I’m going to need it in the heat that’s forecast 🥵
Great to see you on the path again Paul. Quality video as always. Excited for my Penzance to Falmouth hike next week
Thank you. I hope you have a great time. Let me know how you get on.
Great video again. Looks like a beautiful stretch. I especially love all the sandbanks the turquoise sea.😊
I’m sure you will love this section Torunn. It’s one of my favourites.
@@pilgrimpaul7798 it is on my plan some time 🙂 Looking forward!!

Another great video Paul. Good luck with the Mighty Hike on Saturday. Will be good to see some footage from it.
Thank you. I can’t believe it’s finally here. I will be filming it. Only fair considering a lot of people who watch these videos have sponsored me.
@@pilgrimpaul7798 Just donated. Great to know you're filming it... looking forward to that.👍
@@cousindave1 thank you, very kind of you. I’m at my campsite all ready for 6.50 start!
Hi Paul, another great video, always look forward to when they’re up. Quick Gear question for you… what shoes are walking in?
Thank you Justine 😊
I walk in Merrell MOAB Goretex trainers. I’m on my 2nd pair as I get on with them.
Hi Paul, thanks for another great video. Do you have a sponsor page for your walk for MacMillan.

Paul, are u going to vlog macmillan walk??

Hi Paul please could you tell me the make of walking poles that you use please
Hi Brian. They are Black Diamond poles. I went with the cork handles.

How much was the campsite & how did you book it?
I think it was about £15. I booked it a few days before by emailing them. Their contact details are on their website.
