- After what has felt like a long winter and having patiently waited for the longer days to arrive I am back on the SWCP. I pick up the trail at Par where I left it 6 months ago and eagerly head off towards Gribbin Head. This walk sees me reach the pretty and bustling town of Fowey where I catch the ferry to Polruan. Once up and out of Polruan I was met with easy cliff top walking and beautiful scenery towards Lantic Bay. The end of this walk on approach to Polperro is a tough one, there are several climbs and many many steps. The effort is instantly worth it once you reach Polperro and get your first view of the pretty fishing village.
Excellent vid Paul……thanks. Look forward to the next one.
Thanks Malcolm.
Hi Paul, brilliant that you're back in the saddle and at the moment with great weather. I'll be restarting again myself from Falmouth in three days time and can't wait to get going. It's so good to get the first day under your belt with the knowledge that the body can still function as you would like it!
Looking forward to continued viewing, I find your videos extremely helpful. Go well Paul.
Hi David. Thanks for watching and I am glad you find them useful. I’m very jealous of you heading out again soon. Have a great time.
Great to have you back omega the path
Thanks Joshua.
Hi Paul good to see you back on the SWP ,,looking well ,take it easy ,,hope it all goes well all the best Stewart Wiltshire ⛺️🏃♂️👍👍
Thanks Stewart.
I love the videos when you start a multi day hike. We usually get the dystopian vibes of Newton Abbott train station as the intro.
That might be the last one as I won’t need to get the train again!
Great to see you back on the path Paul👍Looking forward to follow you again😀
Thank you Elina, it was great to be back out on the trail.
Hi Paul, good to see you back on the path...look forward to seeing some more content from you, ATB Steve
Thanks Steve. It was great to be back out walking.
Great to see you back on the path, can't beat a sea view on your right, keep up the good work and stay safe, can't wait for the next one 😂 👍
Thanks Neil. It has felt like a long winter so was great to be back.
Great to see your videos are back Paul love it 👍🏻
Thanks Dave. Sorry it’s been so long. I should be able to get a few more out now as I am not too far from where I live.
Loved it. Cheers from Newquay.
Thank you 😊
Great to see you back Paul, superb day's hike. The drone footage takes it to another level mate. Well done.
Cheers mate. I see you’ve been busy on the coast recently. I need to catch up!
great to see you back ,walked that part of the coast and its fantastic, welcome back
Thanks Phil. I agree with you on that.
Great video and drone shots as usual, good to see you back on the Path, Paul - Looking to finish my SWCP from Plymouth to Poole over the last two weeks of May so lovely watching in anticipation and in memory of doing Penzance to Plymouth last September...
Thanks Steve. Hope you enjoy your last leg in a few weeks.
Welcome back Paul. Great video again. My wife and I are heading to minehead next Sunday to start our trip. Been waiting all winter to head out again. Been watching your old episodes to get a few hints too! Keep up with the great work. Cheers 👍
That’s great Richard, you must be quite excited to get started. I hope you have a great time. Reach out if you have any questions. Cheers
Thanks Paul. Been looking forward to it all winter and I've spent many an hour watching lots of you tube clips. We did the edale skyline hike on good Friday as training. That's a good one to put on your list.👍
Hi! Great to see your videos again and follow you on the SWCP 😊 The scenery is so beautiful and the weather looks perfect. But those hills and steps.... killers!! 😳 It is good though, to be prepared before I walk there myself. Thank you 😊
When will you be back Torunn?
@@pilgrimpaul7798 Hi Paul! We'lll be back in June and walk from Falmouth to Charlestown. It doesn't sound like very far, but we have split a couple of sections in two. No need to exhaust ourselves instead of enjoying the walks. And we will have a pause day in Mevagissey and visit Lost Gardens of Heligan. And a pause day in Charlestown and visit Eden Project. I have been to both places before but my friend has not. We are not yet sure if we will walk Charlestown - Plymouth next year or if we just take a trip to revisit some of our favourite places so far. And then Charlestown - Plymouth in 2025. Time will show 😁 Anyway, your videos are both very enjoyable and useful 😄
Great video again Paul 🙏 Loved the drone shots in the beautiful weather at The Gribben. We walked this stretch last autumn, beautiful part of the trail. We’re also on the home straights on our SWCP hike and staying in AirB&Bs, but well done to you carrying the weight of a tent and rucksack. We’re based in Brixham - so look us up when you’re coming by later on in the year, especially if you need camping info.
Thank you, very pleased you liked it. How far have you got on your walk? I am based in Newton Abbot so I will probably be day hiking for a while now which will make a huge difference to my pack weight 👍
Another cracking video Paul. Loved those stunning drone shots too. I stayed on the same site last year and the showers were awesome and much appreciated after a tough day on trail 😀
Thanks Mark. Did you walk up to the camp site? It’s quite a steep road so I got a taxi up but walked back down in the morning.
@@pilgrimpaul7798 I did Paul, but not before some light refreshment at the Crumplehorn 🍺🍺
